Neutrogena Healthy Scalp Rapid Renewal Shampoo with Pea Protein, UV Damage Protecting Shampoo for Strong Healthy-Looking Hair, 12 fl oz

I have a very oily scalp that leads to dandruff at the front top and general itchy scalp all over a few days after wash day. With that said, I don’t think this is the treatment shampoo for me, or anyone else who depends on the Medicated formulas like selsum blue or head and shoulders. I found myself flaking much sooner than usual and itchy still after 3 weeks of trial. It’s a nice creamy texture that suds well and spreads evenly during wash. It rises out well, and leaves no real scent behind. I prefer scented generally but I don’t mind unscented since I wear perfume anyway. So better check and research the ingredients. I'll give one example of ingredient: Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate a cleaning agaent or "surfactant". Ingredients are contains of both synthetic and natural. One more ingredient is the Pea Protein a high quality protein. I must say this is the only ingredient I like in these products. The remaining ingredients are too chemically made. It'll be better for Johnson Johnson to create products that are more natural and plant-based.

Again just like the conditioner, I waited until I used it up to hide my review and it’s nothing short of amazing! I have extremely dry curly hair and I also have psoriasis on my scalp. And my psoriasis started to lessen! I have pretty big patches as I suffer with plaque psoriasis all over, but I think someone with mild patches this could possibly get rid of it. Aside from the umbrella term, there are also other harmful chemical agents; Cocamidoproply Betaine (Irritant) that causes the dryness if used too frequently, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate which is basically an Endocrine disruptor. 🚫Another negative consideration, this product is under the "Johnson Johnson" label and from what I've researched, their tests are NOT cruelty free. They have been proven to test on animals. If you live a Cruelty-free lifestyle, you'll refrain from this set. ✅CONSIDER THE POSITIVES â ¡ï¸ Made in the USA. â ¡ï¸ The packaging is made from recyclable materials. â ¡ï¸ You get a good amount a little is all you'll need. So, you'll have more than enough to use for a while. â ¡ï¸ Price point is extremely reasonable. Overall, I could think of a few better options in comparison to this set, if I'm being honest. The pea protein and UVA/UVB filters are nice flashy bows on this package but I can't look past the ingredients used. Sure, the price is there but I need something that isn't going to gradually strip my hair of moisture over time since my hair is naturally dry. I can't see myself purchasing this again outside of this review experience. 3/5

Not for Dry or Curly hair

The scent is great. I have natural curly hair and I’m trying to get it back to 3a curls. I need lots of moister. The first couple weeks was fine. About a month later my hair was so dry. I tried all my original products to make it better and nothing seems to be working. I got 3 inches cut off and stopped using this shampoo. Hopefully I will see a difference soon. I think this is best for oily hair. Not the best for dry or curly hair. Will not use again for myself.

I love Neutrogena’s new Healthy Scalp Rapid Repair Shampoo with pea protein. The formula is formulated with UVA/UVB filters and pea protein. This protects our hair from UV damage and strengthens damaged strains. I was blown away immediately after rinsing the shampoo out because it left my hair soft. Usually after shampooing my curly color-treated hair it feels rough. This product is a moisturizing scalp shampoo sulfate free surfactants and non-medicated. My curls are smoother, shiny, and a lot less frizzy. Also, I have no issues with my color treated hair.
