Neutrogena Hydro Boost Night Pressed Serum 1.7 oz

Packaging itself is sleek, the pot is full to the brim which I love (other product makes come half full) and the texture of the Cream is light with a fresh light pleasant smell. The cream itself a little goes a long way and it does feel moisturising and my skin had a nice glow sheen. However usually I find gel moisturisers to sink fully into the skin where as I find this doesn't it leaves a sticky residue on my face which isn't ideal at bedtime. I also found it blocked my pores. Overall I would continue to use this cream in the day in the summer over my SPF for the glow and moisturising benefits but not all over my face, I'd probably avoid my nose and chin (areas prone to breakouts)

This is a staple in my skincare routine. I’ve tried several of the hydroboost items but the pressed night serum feels like it does the most for my skin. It’s a bigger bang for your buck too as it really doesn’t take as much as you would think since it’s a “pressed” serum it really does go a long way. It smells light and wonderful too. It leaves my skin feel hydrated without feeling heavy or greasy. It helps minimize the creases I have in my forehead and around my eyes which is really why I love it so much. I purchase this probably 4 times a year. So a jar lasts about 3 months.

Neutrogena is always a safe bet; I don't think I've ever used one of their products and been disappointed. So I decided to order this serum to add to my daily routine for some extra moisture and it delivers! Very light weight yet milky in consistency with the light Hydroboost scent that majority of their products smell like. Sinks right into my skin and is non sticky! It is a light fragrance - reminds me somewhat of coconut - that dissipates very quickly, but makes application pleasant. This will definitely stay in my regimen long past summer. This has been my go to moisturizer for years! It's amazing! I have very sensitive skin and have bad reactions to lots of products. My face is fairly dry, and most products I've used in the past to help with this have left my face super oily and greasy. This moisturizer is beyond lightweight and melts right into the skin. It actually hydrates and leaves my skin feeling fresh and smooth. I am also an excessive sweater and don't wear a lot of products because I usually sweat it all off, but this product actually stays on. I recommend this product to friends and family every chance I get!

ALLERGIC REACTION!!!

Had high hopes for this product as I’ve had a lot of friend’s recommend the product. Woke up after using it and MY EYES WERE SWOLLEN AND RED. I saw some other reviewers had the same issue…I was so concerned and tried to convince myself it was another skin product (which cost $100 ) that was the issue…nope. Tested them out individually and sure enough this caused the flare up. Never had that happen with any other skin product. Not worth it for me. Still don’t know exactly what I’m allergic to in it…unfortunately probably won’t use any other Neutrogena product because of it.

BUYER BEWARE. ALLERGIC REACTION. I honestly never leave reviews for products. But I would feel guilty for not sharing my experience with this. I feel like I need to warn others before buying. I have super “easy” skin. Not acne prone, not sensitive, normal skin. I put this on for the first time on Saturday night. Sunday morning when I woke up, my face felt like it was on fire. My entire face was swollen and very warm. It also reacted on my neck where I applied this product. It truly felt like I had a very serious burn on my entire face. I’ve never experienced something like this before. So please- be cautious!

I have been been using the regular hydroboost products for years now. The gel cream is one of my all time favorites. I decided to branch out and try the night serum. Bad idea. I woke up the next morning with a swollen face, swollen eyes, and what felt like a 1st degree burn all over my face&neck. I have NEVER had any type of reaction to a skin product. Ever. But something is not right with this product. I have read many other reviews of people having the same experience. Scary.

I’ve been on the fence about trying the Neutrogena HydroBoost line for about a year now, but after trying similar Cetaphil, La Roche-Posay, and Cerave products without impressive results, I finally caved in and purchased two hydroboost products -this one (pressed serum) and the gel cream for extra dry skin. I use the pressed serum at night after applying tretinoin and the other one in the morning. And I must say that I actually notice a difference. My skin isn’t dry when I wake up! It seems incredible that such a lightweight formula can outperform the thick balms, creams, and ointments, but it does. And it feels good on my skin too. It doesn’t feel heavy like an ointment -it feels almost whipped and silky. I didn’t think fragrance bothered me, but I guess after using fragrance-free products for years, I’ve gotten rather used to them and this seems very strong. It’s a nice scent, but strong. I wish they’d make a version without it.

Not bad, but could be better.

This serum can be great for some, bad for others. I did notice a slight tingling/burning sensation which was unsettling for a "moisturizing hydrating" serum but is isn't unbearable. At the same time, it has a sort of cooling effect which I enjoy as part of a nightly routine. I could see those with more sensitive skin than mine being turned off by it. Also it does happen to have a strong fragrance while not smelling bad, doesn't compliment the product. After use it doesn't leave a film or sticky feeling residue which is a definite plus imo, and I feel like a little goes a long way which helps since the amount you get isn't enormous. Yes there are better options by the same brand, but for some, this might work.
