Likewise, I have tried more than a few drugstore brands over the years (including Neutrogena).The purpose of a cleanser is to lift, suspend, and remove makeup, dirt, grime, and oil. I try to spend as little as possible on products which I will wash down the drain, knowing that my 13-year-old Clarisonic MD (given to me by original Clarisonic, before L'Oréal's buy-out) will effectively remove all of the above, as well as gently exfoliate my skin—even if used with a mild Castille soap (i.e. Dr. Bronner's). I try to not over-exfoliate my skin, as doing so compromises my skin's moisture barrier and leads to dehydration. IF I'm inclined to wear a face full of makeup (which I haven't been over the past couple of years), I double-cleanse with an oil or micellar water (usually Garnier), followed by the Clarisonic, using a Castille-based soap.PERSONALLY, as a mid-40s woman with combination skin prone to dehydration, I'm not likely to purchase Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Prep Cleanser, because my skin is already prepped, exfoliated, and I don't like washing money down the drain. What I've been using for years: works, and I'll stick to my personal routine!Despite removing dead, keratinized cells from my skin (2x day), I didn't feel it was necessary to cleanse morning & evening—just evening. Over-cleansing and exfoliating = dehydration and crêpiness. HOWEVER, I did appreciate the product's effectiveness when applied to my nose, deep cleaning my pores (which can appear as blackheads). I didn't like the texture of my skin after cleansing; I felt a bit of film/residue left behind.The cleanser doesn't lather, and I question what Neutrogena is using (in lieu of plastic) as the physical exfoliant (paired with the glycolic base).This isn't a "yay" or "nay" from me—just a "meh!". I will add: a 36-year-old friend (who's not into skincare nor has a routine) tried a bit of the cleanser and noticed much more smoothness and suppleness. She hasn't used exfoliant before, and therefore, noticed the smoothing effect that the glycolic acid & grains had on her (surface) dryness. SHE loved the cleanser! Therefore, though it's not a product for me personally, I think it would be effective for others seeking an effective, affordable exfoliant.

IChickAdvisor sent me Neutrogena rapid wrinkle repair cleanser free for review. I usually prefer a foaming cleanser over a cream based one but after using this cleanser for the past month I don’t think I would go back to a foaming one. I used the cleanser in conjunction with the Neutrogena rapid wrinkle repair retinol oil so the results I achieved were most likely from using both products together. I have deeper wrinkles on my forehead that make me self conscious so I was hoping this product would help. After about two weeks of using both products in both the AM and PM I noticed the prominent wrinkles were a little less so but I still wasn’t sure. After discontinuing physical exfoliates, I saw a marked improvement in about 6 months. So I am quite leery about adding a product like this into my face care routine. I just don't think it's worth it, especially when this product is just meant to prep your skin for the retinol. Any good cleanser should be able to do, and for probably a heck of a lot cheaper. I also really did not enjoy the scent. I feel this is one of those products that should probably come unscented. Its definitely not one I can recommend unfortunately

My face feels so much softer after using it for a couple of days.Does the cleanser itself reduce wrinkles? I really can't form an opinion since I have also been using the oil. It's difficult to determine if this alone would result in a reduction of lines. I do believe that using both products together has shown improvement after using for only a few days.I absolutely recommend using this product, and also suggest that you follow up with the retinol oil.

The pump bottle is a generous size and should last quite a long time using it twice daily. I'll be adding this to my skincare routine! My only real issue was that this product recommends using it before the Rapid Wrinkle Repair moisturiser and I had the retinol oil. Wish I could have tried the whole range, but it still worked great! It did leave my face feeling clean & Fresh and after using for a week I would say my skin was softer and smoother. I was disappointed that it contain fragrance however, as this can be irritating in a skincare product and is completely unnecessary. I also felt that I had to take extra care in rinsing as it seemed to leave a bit of a film on my face. Having said that, once it was rinsed, my skin felt good.My greatest disappointment in this brand is the fact that although they claim to be cruelty free and likely technically are in North America, they do fund animal testing on their products in ... MoreI recently had the opportunity to try the Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Prep Cleanser.
