The product is perfect fit for walking and running feel like I'm walking on Air with a great pair of insoles. Most importantly, the sneaker gives nice grip support when running in the rain. It does not slip off your feet or deviate right or left while running which cause you to twist your ankle when moving fast. I definitely will get another pair just for running. I highly recommend this product for comfort and support especially if your on your feet all day.

Those pictures aren't what the show looks like. It doesn't have the pendants on the tongue and the tongue flap is suede not leather. For representing American made, these are trash. Glue residue everywhere, scuffed suede on the heels, loose strings all over.

I have worn the 990 for about five years to help with my plantar fasciitis. The shoe combined with a proper insert provides the correct amount of support and comfort. It probably does not hurt that I replace the shoe every 3-4 months. I will continue to wear this shoe as it is well built here in America.

I am a big fan of New Balance 990 series "MADE IN AMERICA". I already have two pairs of 990v5 shoes in gray colors. As soon as I saw a new beautiful 990v5 in purple and white color on the website, I immediately ordered it. I was so excited after my shoes arrived a few days later. Once I opened the box and tried on my shoes, I was so disappointed to find out that the shoes do not look like as it advertised. The shoes don't have an icon shiny plastic logo "MADE IN AMERICA". At first I thought the factory might forget to stick the logo on the shoes. Once I called the customer service, they told me that the shoes don't come that logo despite the pictures on the website clearly showed the plastic logo"MADE IN AMERICA ". So I returned it.
A great model as always. Good support for fallen arches. The colors are a bit flashy for an oldster, but availability was limited. I'd prefer the inconspicuous tan of earlier models!

I wear them for walking on pavement. They are comfortable and come true to size with a little bit more width then some of the other shoes they have. I dont like that they are not truely us made it feels a bit misleading. I also was surprised by the number of stitching errors because of their claims of premium quality, American precision, and such. Otherwise, cool kicks, good quality.
These are the most supportive and comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I had been wearing the New Balance 1540 since they came out, but decided to finally try the 990v5. This color combo only came in mens sizes, so I adjusted and ordered equivalent size, and very glad I did. They may seem a bit pricey, but they are the ultimate comfort shoe for me.
I went against the trend and ordered a half size up. A little long but the width is better. Extremely comfortable. Made with great materials. Highly recommend.
