New Balance sets the Fresh Foam X 880v15 at a 40.5mm heel and 34.5mm forefoot, a 6mm drop, with the Fresh Foam X midsole built from bio-based EVA. 'Black Black Metallic' runs the upper, midsole and outsole dark, with metallic detailing lifting the branding off the black. NDurance rubber covers the high-wear zones beneath. The outsole's vertical heel-to-toe orientation guides the transition along the length of the foot rather than across it.
