Overall, super stoked. Especially for never previously tried this model. It was a stab in the dark. My 880's from 2017 were shot. They were size 14 2E. But these 860's v12 were size 14M. They are wide enough in the toe box for a bunion and flat feet. I do like the way the Achilles gets form fitted in the collar. After some research, this time I took out the insoles before popping in my 3/4 custom orthotics. Just found out I need a total right hip replacement. Im 52 years old. I stand on concrete and asphalt all day and these 860 v12's provide the stability and support needed for my current conditions. This is about the 4th pair of New Balance 860 that I have ordered on-line. They have always fit perfectly. This time, the right shoe is a bit roomy. I tried an insole but it still moved on my foot as I walked. I changed to heavier socks which is good for now but come warmer weather, won't be. This is not something I noticed until I was actually out for my walk and using a longer stride than you would ever use inside. The left shoe is perfect.

The shoes are so comfortable. Like stepping onto a cloud. They usually last me about a year, but I am extremely hard on shoes. I ordered 4 pair of these and 2 pair of the 880's for myself. I then purchased 2 pair for my parents, 6 pair for my Mother-in-law and her two foster kids, 2 pair for my wife, 2 pair for my second cousin, 12 pair for my sister and her family, and then I recommended them yo many friends and other family. NB makes great shoes! I only wish they'd had their best deal of 50% off during the normal Black Friday and cyber Monday times, instead of holding that deal after I spent so much on the 40% off deals.

My husband loves these sneakers. He is so stubborn about sneakers especially the color. He's 42 and doesn't want "young kid, dad, or old man" sneakers. These fit that bill for him. These could definitely be for any age because the color is very nice.He also loves the fit and comfortability of these sneakers. If you are picky like my husband is or just want a nice pair of sneakers, these are great. Would highly recommend.
I truly love this shoe. Being someone who is flat footed and pronates this shoe truly helps me, it accomidates my orthotic well to. I do NOT love this shoe as much as I loved the v11.... sadly. Why change a good thing? I love the new heel design and padding but here are some aspects I am not happy about.1.) the tongue is not secured like it was on the old shoe, therefore the tongue moves around and its extremely annoying:(2.) the new lighter material just does not seem as sturdy as the v11 material around the toe box.3.) the overall look of this version is not as sporty as the v11 it seems more old fashion looking, the reason I love the v11 so much was because of the sporty look and way it just fit on the foot.It has made me have a love hate relationship with ... MoreI truly love this shoe. This my third 870 going back to V6. I like the evolution. The heal cup is stiffer and the structure keeps my heal down more firmly. The shoe is very light. The toe box is generous and the D width is great for my E width foot. The carved out portion of the outside of the heal makes for a great placement running or walking and the turned up toe releases perfectly. Very comfortable overall. The only negative I can find is that the laces are too short. With my big hands there is not much to grab onto to tie them up
The 860 peaked with the fantastic V10. Since then, the price has gone way up (don't care) and the quality has gone down (care a LOT). Perhaps it's an effort to make the shoe lighter. The top of the toebox is now just the thin nylon they use on their lowest tier shoes, the laces are thinner and the worst part, the width seems to be a little tighter than it used to be. Also, the back of the shoe used to curve inward to keep my heel in place. Now, curves OUT and I feel like the shoe is going to come off of my foot. Sadly, I took them out of the box and wore them out a couple of times hoping I'd get used to them so I can't return them.I understand that they need to "freshen" the shoes but I wish they'd limit it to new bizarre color combinations based on Seattle ... MoreThe 860 peaked with the fantastic V10. I've worn NB exclusively for 20 years. I'm open to suggestions on where to go next.

However, I haven't bought a pair for years and instead have been opting for cool-looking, slim, albeit uncomfortable shoes from other makers which leave my feet feeling sore by the end of the day. Until I got these Fresh Foams, I had forgotten how comfortable and well New Balance shoes fit me! And on top of comfort, they are pretty stylish looking as well! I am a healthcare provider and am on my feet much of the day, and by the end of it, my feet do not ache after wearing these like they do with other shoes from other brands. They didn't have anyone pick it up. Now, I have to find a UPS store to send them back. Also, asked for a discount for my troubles and disappointment of having new shoes and having to return them. Don't be fooled like I was and ordered from what they pretend to be. They have the nb on their site but when inquiring about them they have a very strange email with mostly letters (like from China) and them hotmail.com. They even have a support email for new balance which actually doesn't exist.
I am a runner and very happy with this version of the 860. 860s have been the most durable shoes I've owned over the years. Although it is heavy, this shoe fits my wide forefoot perfectly and I have no hot spots or foot soreness after a few runs so far. My feet get sore in various places if I run in neutral shoes too much... I got the 12 x EE. My actual size is probably 11.75 x EE and these work fine. Sometimes a 12 x EE will be a little to big, like the 860 v6 was, but these are just right. I will use these for most of my training runs (something lighter for races) and another pair for general use because I like the colors. I purchased 4 pairs of these while I could get my size and the price was right.
