Better quality materials PLEASE!!

As a Physical Education teacher, these shoes are super comfortable. I've purchased two pairs of Fuel Cell Propels. HOWEVER, the quality of the mesh material on the shoes is so poor! My first pair of Fuel Cell ripped from side to side on both shoes. I've had this pair for less than a month and are starting to rip from the start of the sole and fabric. See PHOTOS. I love the comfort but New Balance your quality is starting to get me angry. I spend a lot of money on my shoes hoping they will last longer than a month or so.

Comfortable and Very Responsive

I really like this shoe and especially so for my speed and hill workouts. It is very responsive and, overall, has a comfortable feel. Not that it is a heavy shoe anyway, but it feels lighter than one might think if looking at the numbers. I hadn't run in a NB shoe since the 620--which might tell you how long I've been running--but glad I have found this one.

I tried out the size 11 woman’s shoe in the store and liked them but I had to order them online since my size 12 was not in stock. The shoes I received online have way too much material in the forefoot plus the forefoot and heel are wider than I expected. The laces are horrible and do not stay tied. Also the shoe has a tendency to slip in the heel. It’s like I received a different shoe. I run 30 miles/week and walk 12 miles. I gave it a 3 star bc the shoe is well made and comfortable but I will only wear it as a walking shoe , not a running shoe.

Favorite Running Shoes - Super Comfortable and Lightweight
11 June 2024

I recently bought the NB FuelCell Propel v4 Running Shoes, and they have quickly become my favorite pair of shoes. These shoes are incredibly comfortable, providing excellent support. One of the standout features is their breathability. Even during long runs, my feet stay cool and dry, which has greatly improved my overall comfort. Overall, I highly recommend the shoes. They offer a perfect combination of comfort, lightness, and breathability, making them a great choice for any runner.

Great shoes, but presentation
30 September 2024

I love the shoes themselves, they're cute and very comfortable and supportive. But I'm pretty sure these were worn and returned, and that no effort was made to clean them before shipping them out again. The bottoms look like someone wore them and walked around in them, and there are random scuffs that shouldn't be there if they were brand new and unworn. I really, really need new running shoes so I will unfortunately just have to keep these and wash them myself. It's just disappointing to pay $80+ dollars for shoes that look like they've been used.

Like walking on cushions
9 May 2024

I'm so glad I took the leap to purchase these New Balance shoes. They are so comfortable and breathable. I bought the exact size I needed and they fit like a glove for my feet with an awesome amount of cushion. I do feel like the height of the shoe is similar but not equal to a get-fit walking shoe.

Super comfy!!
15 April 2024

I generally wear Hoka Bondi’s, yep you guessed it I’m a nurse. Long hours on my VERY flat feet, plantar faciitis, heel spurs, Morton’s neuroma and had surgery to fix a malformation of the bones in my foot. These are super comfortable with great cushion. I do wear a custom orthopedic insert. They are very stable. Definitely recommend!

Tried NB
30 April 2024

Bought for my teen, she needed new running sneakers and she seems happy with them! She has typically narrow feet and her regular 7.5 size fit her perfectly! White with purple, really cute and stylish! More important I also tried them on to test them - the height is noticeable from the soles,,, the center of the foot seems to be the thickest which sort of aims your toes “upwards” as a power walker, I wouldn’t prefer this style (large bottom) but she is easier to please when it comes to a good shoe! She wears New Balance cleats and we figured since they work so well for her, why not try the running shoe line! I would definitely try other NB running shoes as well!

Versatile Athletic Shoe
20 April 2024

New Balance shoes just fit my feet, and I needed this color. Love the off-black with pink accents. I ordered these shoes, got several email updates in the next 7-10 days, then my credit card reflected a refund. Then it was charged again? And the shoes showed up a week later. Very odd.

runs narrow, not terribly comfortable

I bought this model instead of the 880 about 7 months ago because the price was right. All in all, I have to say that I won't buy the FuelCell Propel again, and I can't in good faith recommend the shoe. I wear a 7.5 wide, which is the size purchased. I find that the toe box is very narrow and the insoles are not supportive under the balls of the feet. The shoe also seems to run long. I wear 7.5 wide in all my other shoes, so I do think it's an issue of this shoe in particular rather than me buying the wrong size. I didn't discover that I truly disliked the shoe until I had worn it several times (thinking I needed to just break them in better) and I didn't feel right trying to return something that was rife with my foot sweat. So I made them last as long as I reasonably could. So I'd say, if you have narrower feet and non-finicky feet, maybe go for it. But the width was just not there, nor was the support. I don't feel that you should need to buy insoles separately for an already pricey shoe brand but I suppose that's an option if you wanted to pursue it. I didn't find that it changed much about the comfort.
