The New Balance FuelCell Rebel v5 running shoe in Afterglow colorway is designed for female runners seeking responsive performance. This successor model features an updated FuelCell midsole foam composition that provides enhanced energy return with each stride, making it suitable for tempo runs, interval training, and race day performance. The engineered mesh upper offers breathable support with strategic zones of flexibility and structure, adapting to foot movement during dynamic running motions. The shoe incorporates a TPU heel counter for rearfoot stability and a gusseted tongue that prevents slippage while maintaining comfort. The outsole utilizes NDurance rubber in high-wear areas for improved durability without adding excessive weight. Available in women's size 40.5, this model represents a balanced approach to lightweight performance running footwear. The Afterglow color scheme presents a vibrant aesthetic option for runners who value both function and visual appeal. The shoe's design focuses on delivering a propulsive feel during toe-off while maintaining adequate cushioning for training distances. The midsole geometry has been refined from previous versions to promote a smoother transition from heel strike to forefoot push-off. Upper materials are selected for their moisture-wicking properties and adaptive fit characteristics. The lacing system allows for customizable tension adjustment across different foot shapes. This running shoe is intended for neutral runners or those with mild stability needs who prioritize responsiveness in their training footwear. The overall construction emphasizes durability in key stress areas while keeping the total weight optimized for performance-oriented running sessions.
