The New Balance KAWHI ‘Christmas’ delivers a frosty colorway of Kawhi Leonard’s signature shoe inspired by the Snow Wasset, a mythical creature believed to inhabit the US Great Lakes region. Glacier blue tones are dispersed throughout the knit upper, reinforced with no-sew overlays and a molded TPU heel counter. Atop the tongue, a custom graphic depicts razor-sharp claws clutching a basketball. A metallic silver finish on the FuelCell foam midsole, supported by an icy blue rubber outsole, combine to amplify the wintry motif.

Dope shoes

I bought these shoes, because I wanted to start playing more basketball. I didn't think they'd actually help get me on the court, but they did. I started playing a lot more with my friends and actually started to do workouts. I learned how to dunk over the summer, started getting some fancy tricks, and overall my game really improved. I was a sophmore in high school when I bought these shoes, so I tried out for my high school team as a junior. I didn't think I'd make it to be honest. Our varsity team was pretty good, and I was just a pleb who started playing that past year. But I showed up to tryouts anyway. That night as I was waiting to see if I got cut or not, I was shaking so bad, I had so many doubts. ""Man but I missed that one three to get my team up by 5."" ""And one time I was late getting off the bench after drinking some water, maybe the coaches will hate that."" But soon, all of those doubts instantly left my mind. I MADE THE TEAM!?!? I was so so so excited, I had never even thought I would be good enough to make any team... ever! I never put myself out there or even tried to do it. But now, I feel like I can do anything. I'm in my senior year now, and I'm working really hard, I want nothing more than to play college ball, that would be so sweet. All in all, I'm really grateful I bought these shoes; they no joke, changed my entire life. Kawhi Leonard is the goat, and so are his shoes.

One of my favorite basketball shoes I have owned. The grip is amazing. I went true to size and it fit great. With the om1s, I had trouble determining what width to get- the normal width was just a tad tight and the wide width was just a tad too wide (I still loved both my pairs). These shoes felt narrow right out of the box but after adjusting the laces a little, they fit better than just about any other basketball shoes I've owned. Ended up getting the all white colorway because none of the signature colorways caught my eye. They look great, they're well built, and they're comfortable. All the stitching looks and feels sturdy and the grip looks like it is going to last me a while. Will buy another pair when i need to/when a really great colorway comes out.

First of all, the colorway is so cool. I really love the seismograph and all the other small details added. Like, come on, Kawhi's cornrows are on this shoe! How could you not love it? Performance wise, traction is its strongest attribute. You can legit play on any court surface. The fuelcell cushioning is great too. The only problem I have with the Kawhi is the fit. It runs a little long, and it was extremely hard for me to put on at first, but it just requires a break in period, so no stars deducted for that and I still recommend going true to size.

It gets a 3 for styling...that's it
12 November 2020

I'm surprised that NB decided to NOT offer a wider width like it did for the OMN1S. Especially because when you look at the sales of the OMN1S their wider width outsold most of their standard widths. These shoes are NARROW! I couldn't even get my foot in the shoe initially without completely loosening the laces all the way down by the toe. And though that heel counter is going to help prevent ankle roll, I feel like this shoe felt more like a boot than a basketball shoe. Really disappointed. At this point, it's like NB is really going toward profit than performance. Only sneaker heads will be purchasing this shoe. But New Balance faithfuls looking for their first Signature shoe that they could wear is not going to happen. New Balance took pride in not needing athlete endorsement. I can understand from a business standpoint why they would join that, but to do so, and move away from their performance (which is why they believed in their own product). Very disappointed. On a positive note, at least they don't look as bland as their past NB basketball shoe attempts.

Overall great shoe
30 December 2020

This is my 2nd pair. The seismic colorway is the pair I’ve been playing in for over a month now. Overall they’re great shoes. They fit slightly long and narrow but once broken in that narrowness goes away. They do fit similar to the Omn1s. I recommend going true to size or half a size down due to the length. I would not recommend to wide footers. Traction is also good. Have only played in these outdoors.

Poorly Designed and too Expensive Basketball Shoes
30 May 2021

I have been a loyal customer of your basketball and running shoes for over 20 years.I have a wide foot and you produced quality shoes that provided support, bounce, and long life.I was very sad when you stopped making a great basketball shoe a couple of years ago. When the Kawhi shoe was introduced, I thought the price was way too high and I was disappointed that you weren't selling a good quality shoe for about $100.The shoe is too narrow and the toe box is poorlly designed. I couldn't get my feet into the shoes even though I went up a half size.

Quality but horrible fit
6 January 2021

First of all let me say that these shoes are high quality. They are basketball shoes. Not sneakers to just kick around in. Worth the money. My only issue and it's a big one. Fitting: sizing is not good. I've been a size 12 in all shoes for years. These shoes run a full size too small. Now for the Bad part. These shoes only come in a width of D. That's not wide enough for most any man's feet. E or EE is a must. Not having the option for this is a deal breaker and need be fixed.

Snug fit and amazing support
20 February 2021

I play in them they are true to size if you like having the finger exactly at the edge go true to size , otherwise an half size up. They are sturdy because of how good the support is. You can't have an flexible shoe and be supportive at the same time. The cushion is very responsive on the forefoot but not the same in heel is still good but not that bouncy. Only downside is ventilation but they don't suffocate your foot after intense games at least for me. Is one of the best shoes for people that like supportive shoe if you are an skinny guard and don't pound too much weight on the foots you will probably don't like it. It is more for strong guys support but it is for any player it is an amazing positionless shoe. Traction is amazing outside.
