I've been using this for well over a year now. Great picture for 1080P. Blacks are pretty deep. I've thought about moving to a 4K but there isn't enough content to make it worth while. If you're used to the beautiful picture of an LED or OLED you're not going to have that quality of picture but for myself I wanted bigger! And movies and shows look great. If you're getting into the projector world for the first time, I can't say this enough, pay for a top quality screen!!! It's worth it. I tried my wall first, then I bought a cheap screen, then I finally bit the bullet and bought a 120" Silver Ticket white screen. Made all the difference in the world. I love watching movies and gaming on my set up. Also, get a good sound system and you'll be all set. This is a great ... MoreI've been using this for well over a year now. Great picture for 1080P. This projector really gives you a movie theatre experience. The colors are rich and saturated and the image is very sharp. It was a breeze to setup as the pre calibrated cinema mode was great for our room. We have it projecting unto a 100" motorized screen and even the speakers are pretty decent with good vocal clarity. Still a surround system or Sound Bar with subwoofer would sound better but this still enjoyable. Comes with a nice case and the remote allows for quick access for any minor tweaks. This is a different experience compared to looking into a flat panel and having light emitted directly at you. It feels like there's less eye fatigue watching a projected image. We have it set on SmartEco and that's more than bright enough and saves up to 70% of lamp life. ... MoreThis projector really gives you a movie theatre experience. Well worth the money. I have a light controlled room , but still good with ambient light. The short throw means I can get it close to the screen and not cast shadows as I walk around the room. I have a low ceiling. Also when its closer to the wall the amount of light is brighter than if it was 8 feet behind me. Clarity... if you want clarity get a 4k tv. There is no projector that beats that , but this is very good, blurays look great. 100+ inches and it's a lot of fun for the money.

I received two separate projectors that were both visibly damaged %26 used. After waiting for weeks between receiving them %26 being promised a new projector the seller then tells me they are in fact refurbished yet they are being sold %26 advertised as new! After all of this the seller wants me to wait for a third time to receive my refund %26 is not providing any other compensation for this huge mishap or the inconvenience this caused ( ruined my husband’s birthday %26 an event I needed it for). I should be issued a refund %26 compensation immediately %26 whomever is responsible for this needs to be held accountable.
It is a good projector for the price better then excepted. Not top quality but perfect for the price I wanted to pay. Easy to use, easy to set up. Would be nice a little more fine tuning or have a vertical as well as horizontal key stroke would have made this a perfect buy. I do recommend it especially if you are a gamer great for watching sports overall movie quality a little to crisp give the picture a fake portion extremely bright. But I like what some review have stated it’s ok when it is light outside but the picture does washout. But for the money especially if you don’t use that match is great.
Its not the cheapest projector you can get, but you get what you pay for. I did some research and this BenQ came up as a winner. After using it for a few weeks on an outside deck with a projector screen, Im very happy and frankly blown away by the image quality. I can definitely recommend it if youre in the market for one.
I have 2 other BenQ short throw projectors (the 770st & 1085st) so when I saw this one for a great price I figured I'd grab it for a separate location. I love short throw for the large screen size from a (relatively) short distance. I have this one set up in a living room. The other two are set up in my kids playroom and my master bedroom. We even set up a 300" screen outside to watch movies on and it works great for that too.
The BenQ 2150st is one of the best reviewed 1080p short throw projectors on the market...But not this one the picture was dark the color was very muted and the whole picture was fuzzy...So i figured it must have low quality lamp replacement in it, So I purchased a $100.00 Orsam lamp with housing that did not change a thing. So I took it to BestBuys Geek squad just to be told they dont do repairs on projectors if you dont buy them there and if you did it would have to be in warranty...So it looks like Im stuck with a new 10lb doorstop!!!!
I have had the 2150st for a few years now. I must say the projector has a great picture but the reason why I am writing this is for the durability. I use this for my gold simulator and at this point it has taken MANY direct good from a golf club. Initially mine but not in 2+years, more from friends. The projector just keeps ticking. Cosmetically not in good shape but functionality has endured. Keep making good product as I am in the need for a 4k short throw once BenQ makes one.
Bought this as a replacement for an older 720p Optoma - and as soon as it was setup I was blown away by how much brighter, more colorful the image was. It is an easy to live with projector. It doesn't get into fights with the AV receiver or video sources. In the 2 years Ive owned it its been used almost every day. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, affordable, quality projector.
