Camera made of aluminum: and I can't lock shut the bottom cover. I tried numerous times. I am trying to return the camera, and lenses, and a tripod head which is so heavy I can't carry it as I am a petite 5 foot 1 inch woman.I am an advance amateur photographer who was decades ago, an Eastman Kodak Technical Sales Representative who was excellent.

I'm new to photography and chose this camera on recommendation from a friend. The appearance and build quality are superb. I appreciate the flexibility of being able to shoot in AUTO as I learn how to shoot manually. The UI is a little daunting, but with practice and quick study of the manual, it's fairly easy to pick up. I love my new hobby and this is the perfect camera for my skill level.

I currently have 12 cameras including full frame, apsc and M43 bodies. The brands include Nikon, Pentax, Panasonic and Sony. This little beauty is the camera I use most often for casual walk-around shooting. I only shoot raw with my other cameras but this produces some of the nicest JPEGS, so it's the only one that I use mainly for JPEGs. The scene modes are effective especially the HDR for landscapes takes care of high-contrast scenes that are difficult to expose properly. The art filters are fun. There are a lot of settings to modify JPEGs. If you shoot raw, use the free Olympus Workspace software to process because it is really written to support Oly bodies best.It is very light and the grip is better than any Olympus except for the E-M1 models. Love this camera and as everyone knows, Panasonic does not have reliable auto-focus—on any of their cameras. As far as photo usage, it works for me. I was looking for compact travel camera with interchangeable lens option. Someone suggested the EM 10 camera. My other choice was the Canon EM 6 M2. I purchased both. The Canon menu system was a breeze, images were fine, portability was great but the viewfinder attachment was not for me...back to B&H it went. The Olympus was the same as the Canon with a couple of exceptions...the overly complicated menu system for a beginner camera. Digging thru the menus to do something simple like selecting frame rates, focusing points., etc was not fun. The quick menu button is helpful to some degree but navigating the menu system is not what I am wanting to spend days on. Like all camera companies, the manual is meh. You tube is helpful for basic stuff but once again spending hours to operate this camera is more time than I want to spend on a beginner camera. The other reason it went back to B&H...the viewfinder, I know it is a beginner camera, but it is almost unusable. Sadly, it also went back to B&H. I will continue with my G9 until I find my pocket camera. Thank goodness B&H is flexible with returns!
As a beginner and only using the camera for travel and hobby, Im blown away by its capabilities. I have very little experience with other cameras, so mu review might have a lot of bias!The size is ideal for me, its easy enough to carry around without being cumbersome. Even if I dont use it, I dont regret having carried it around.A huge feature I love is being able to control the camera with a phone app. No timers needed and get get everyone in the photo.The quality of pictures is fantastic. The ease of use is great, with lots of fine tweaking I look forward to learning so much more about.All in all, for a begginer this camera may be a bit much, but if youre like me and want something you can grow into, this seems like a solid choice.
I wanted something lighter and traded in my full frame Nikon gear in to get into the mirrorless mft world. Extremely light and portable and good quality photos for personal use.Easy to move the photos from my camera to my phone--no longer need to go home or bring a laptop to see and review photos right away.The UI is different but it just takes a little practice to get down the navigation.So far I am happy. This is a lot of camera for this price point and I think it is a good deal.
This is a really great camera. I was looking for a mirrorless DSLR with some sort of optical viewfinder and this camera fits the bill. It is light, nice looking and best of all packed with features and the battery is the same one I have for an older Olympus DSLR (which I still use). So with the interchangable battery, it just adds to the value I have received. Highly recommend, takes great pictures.
The E-M10 Mark IV is a great-looking camera that takes amazing photos. I decided on Olympus after I got some photos developed from an old OM-10. They were so good I wanted to get one of Olympus' latest cameras. The 5-axis image stabilization is awesome to have in a camera at this price. With a 20 MP sensor it doesn't seem too behind the times either. Olympus was the first to have the Super Sonic Wave Filter dust reduction which this has. The camera is light and portable but not light on features. Highly recommended!
I purchased a Olympus OM-D EM-10 a number of years ago. I was considering replacing the camera and looking at other smaller format cameras for hiking. I have several M-Zukio lenses which influenced my decision to stay with this camera. The body has improved significantly from the earlier versions. The controls are more like a full frame camera and much easier to use. The earlier versions required many setting changes through the on-screen menu (ISO, for example). Of course the sensor is greatly improved and the images are tack sharp from this camera.
I'm using Olympus cameras and lenses for over 10 years. Starting from simple EPL1 all the way to OMD E-M10 Mark II. I jumped from Mark II to Mark IV only because the sensor is 20MP vs 16MP for Mark II and all previous models. I have a wide selection on M4/3 lenses and let my 12 years old daughter to have the test run of the camera. She is a novice in digital photography, but she was able to take amassing shots. I'm very happy with the new features, new specs. Excellent compact camera for home use. I'm not comparing it to the professional cameras which costs $3-5K. Another comment - due to COVID Vietnamese factories are down. I live in Singapore, Singapore warehouses are sold out on this model. I had to order from the US.
