I am biased.. i love the PSVita and have been in love with it from day one. I actually own several units because i always want one available where ever i am. (I dont sit still very well if I am waiting somewhere like a doctors office. :-) ) The PSVita is for me the perfect shape for my hands. I am an adult female with average size female hands (medium) but have carpal in both hands. The square units such as the Nintendo DS cause my hands to fall asleep (yes I still own one for all the mario games. :-) ) But I spend far more time with the PSVita. There is a huge assortment of games. yes the Nintendo handhelds have a larger spread of games, but who can really play them all? There comes a point of 'how many games available' is not really an issue. When a unit has ... MoreI am biased.. i love the PSVita and have been in love with it from day one. There comes a point of 'how many games available' is not really an issue. When a unit has enough selection, you are good to go. I am very disappointed by Sony's decision to axe the Vita. The Vita will still be relevant for some time so no worries in buying one and having some fun. One of the biggest issues is that on all of Sony's products use propriertaty memory. And Sony upcharges the cost to crazy amounts. And the PSVita has its on lititle memory line. No swapping with your Sony camera memory. So if you are considering purchasing a PSVita, go ahead and bite the bullet and purchase a 64GB memory card and you will be set. Amazon runs about $104 currently. I purchase the 64GB when i purchase any of my Vita's and have yet to run out of download room. You can purchase smaller gigabite sizes but just be prepared to constantly have to swap out memory cards when you go play a game that happens to be on the memory card not in your Vita. To me that is a hassle so i just suck it up and get the 64gb card. Consider how much games can cost and then it doesnt seem that much of a price. Also i highly recommend getting the Playstation Plus annual subscription especially if you own another Playstation console like PS3 or PS4. You will have access to free games every month on all of your units and can play them as long as you keep your membership going. Its a win win. It runs about $50 a year; well worth it. If you are on the line, I think you will be pleasantly surprised with the PSVita. One feature i like are the video channel apps you can download free and watch game play. Great help if you are stuck in a game. As you can see.. I absolutely love the PSVita. And last, dont worry about purchasing one from Japan. You can change the language easily to English. I have purchased two units from Ebay seller nyankichi2009. Highly recommend! Fast shipping and just overall wonderful Ebay seller.

Vita is an underrated console. A handle of AAA games were supported in the early years, but smaller studios have really kept the Vita alive the past few years. This model is the Japan exclusive orange slim model. The slim model features a lighter overall weight and a revised button layout. American buyers should be advised that the Vita is region free; thus NA and PAL releases of games will work natively with the hardware. Also of note, the "O" and "X" buttons are inversed from American and Japan.

You really cant go wrong with a psvita as far as little handhelds go. Even today I feel it stands up against things like the switch. Its got a big touchscreen with clear and nice colors. Its joysticks feel just like the ones on the switch only smaller and its much more comfortable to hold as opposed to the psp (its a bit bigger too). You can also connect and transfer data from your ps3, ps4 or pc (connecting it to a pc on windows 11 was a bit of a pain compared to the psp which is super easy. However its definitely not impossible and once you get it working its super convenient). Overall if youre looking for a ps handheld I would 100% recommend the vita, its really fun and feels good to play on. Its overall a great experience!
Been looking for a Vita to hack for a while, and decided it was the best time to get one during these times. Firstly, item came in complete with every product manual, charger, etc. along with the item itself. Simply disappointed with how it actually looked, compared to what was shown in the photos. Labeled as 'used' but also describes it as 'Near Mint' condition. It does NOT look even remotely close to be considered 'Mint'. I'd say it looked 'Excellent' at best. Condition aside, the Vita was functionally playable. At this time, anyone looking for a Vita isn't looking to play its games, but instead its potential of having access to a plethora of different games from different retro systems. The ps vita arrived in very great condition almost like new. Had no scratches on the screen, the analog sticks were perfectly fine, has some scratches on the back but that doesnt bother me. My only issue I had was that a portion of the screen came with a yellow tint on the top. But it is not too much of a problem and can be fixed with a screen replacement. Lastly, the cartridge flap where you put the games does not close fully but still functions good. Overall I am very satisfied with the purchase although I wish it didnt have a yellow tint on screen its not some thing we have control over and can be fixed easily. Console looks almost brand new minus the scratches in the back.
Im happy with the purchase! The price was very good, and the overall condition was actually better than it looked like in the photos. I will say, the PS button on the device is almost totally stuck. It will function, but Im nervous about how long it will last. I would have liked to have known this when purchasing so I could factor in cleaning/repair costs. For the price overall, I am happy with the purchase.
I love handheld gaming and the Vita is amazing. Great graphics, a pretty extensive library is available through the PS store - plus because of the age of the console the game downloads are pretty cheap and the PS store still has weekly sales for PS Vita/PS3 crossplay and PSOne classics. It's very light and compact but doesn't feel cheaply made. Pretty cool features like the touchscreen, back panel sensor pad, bluetooth, wifi, cameras, dual analog control. If you're a PS fan and thinking about picking one up - definitely do it! I haven't put mine down since I got it. The main negative is it can be hard/expensive to get hold of the physical games but you just have to be patient and hunt around on the internet. I picked up a 32gb memory card and out of about 50 games I own only 13 are physical and the memory is only half full. So it may be expensive initially for the memory card but definitely no problem.
I first bought a PSvita 1000 which has a great OLED screen but weight and the size and the glossy front makes me paranoid of scratches. I decided to get a PSVita 2000 which that one is on the go for a very good price. I just didnt like the LCD screen but was able to hack it and made the screen more vibrant and the whites looking like whites since before it looked greenish or washed out. When I fix that I am using this Vita way more and it is more comfortable to hold. I love the white front and the light blue in the back and came with zero scratches. Very mint condition so I might order more stuff from this seller. I am really enjoying this vita which I missed out in 2014.
