First, Iād like to say the physical appearance of the shoe was just perfect. Cute, pastel colors, very soft spring. The fit and feel of it was also on point. Perfect for the size. I didnāt really wear it all day long but few hours (4-5) each time. Toes were a bit uncomfortable towards end but only first days.Wasnāt great with mud etc but wasnāt too hard to clean up.The only thing Iād say is negative would be the laces. They were enough to drive me up the wall. They kept slipping off. I donāt know if it was just me (Iām 28 so Iād like to think I know how to tie a lace), but I even had others tie it to make sure. Would slip off within half hour every time. The material fir the lace is a bit slippery/waterproof kind, so may be that.So other than the laces, I would ...Ā MoreFirst, Iād like to say the physical appearance of the shoe was just perfect. Straight out of the box this shoe looks great. The cream and white colors are set off by a vibrant swoosh and the recycled rubber outsole of this shoe gives it a terrazzo feel that I very much dig. I didn't feel like I needed to "break" this shoe in at all. It was both comfortable and supportive from the first moment I put them on, which, as a mom on the go, is very important to me. If there were any drawbacks it would be that on my first outing in my AF1, someone stepped their dirty shoes on the toes of mine. The sustainable material was much harder to clean than I expected. I really had to scrub to try and get off a scuff that, unfortunate as it may be, is a pretty run of the mill experience when wearing light colored shoes in a crowded public space. Not a deal ...Ā MoreStraight out of the box this shoe looks great. I love my Air Force One Crater shoes. The color scheme is so fun I absolutely love it. I think the speckled rubber outsole is so cute and itās awesome that itās from recycled materials. Itās a win win! The quality and craftsmen-ship of these is superb. I can tell they will hold up for years and years. My feet are between a size 6 and 6.5. I definitely could have went with a six. However the 6.5 still feels comfortable. There are so many little details I love about these shoes to the stitching, colors, the materials used, the pattern on the bottoms, and of course comfort. I would highly recommend these to anyone looking for a fun unique every day shoe! I cannot wait to wear these in the spring and summer because I think the colors will just be perfect for that time ...Ā MoreI love my Air Force One Crater shoes. Growing up in the 90s and 2000s, Nike Air Force 1s were my go-to shoes in school. With that said, I have always loved them and have had many pairs over the years. They are a true classic in my opinion that will never go out of style.I was really curious how these new Air Force 1s would compare, and they didn't disappoint. First, I absolutely love that Nike went green with this design and incorporated recyclable and sustainable materials in this shoe. The Crater Foam not only makes this shoe super light in comparison to the original version, but it also is attractive with color flecks that add in just the right amount of 'pop' throughout. The Crater Foam not only makes this shoe super light in comparison to the original version, but it also is attractive with color flecks that add in just the right amount of 'pop' throughout. These new materials not only make this shoe super light, but also increase ventilation/breathability. If you've ever owned a pair in the past, you know your feet do get hot due to the leather, but with this design there has been much improved ventilation/breathability. Nike added this new nylon/mesh finish on the top front of the show, which creates this improved ventilation. This new finish, since it isn't the classic leather, doesn't crease either :) I really love this upgrade - think it's my favorite part about the shoe. If you've ever owned a pair of classic Air Force 1s, you know you've cringed when you developed a crease in your new kicks. So, definitely a super nice touch with this change! There is also a little shine/glitter in the nylon/mesh which I thought was a really cute touch as well -- Might just be the material itself, but I appreciate those little details :)These shoes are also super comfortable and not as stiff as the originals. I would say overall, with this new design, there is an improved comfort I felt when wearing them. My only complaint, is I feel like sizing runs a little big in my opinion. Due to this, I wasn't able to really get a good grip on fit and feel while walking/exercising since mine were about a half size too big. I did also develop a blister on the back of one ankle after a couple mile walk around my neighborhood. I doubt this would have happened, if they were the correct size, as I've never had this happen with any previous pairs I've owned. I typically wear an 8-8.5 in Nike Air Force 1s depending on fit, so I went with the 8.5 this time and it was a little too big. So, if you are like me, and can wear one or two sizes depending on fit, I'd highly recommend going into a store and trying them on before buying. Another thought, if you like them a little big, be sure to wear high socks, which should help to prevent blisters. My husband also liked the look and feel of these shoes, so I think Nike could've marketed these as unisex, rather than only as a woman's shoe. Regardless, this doesn't detract from the shoe itself, just wanted to point that out since men may be interested in these as well.Overall, I think the design and new features Nike has added to this shoe are definitely an upgrade in comfort, ventilation, and sustainability! Nike has definitely succeeded in upgrading a classic, while still keeping the look that we all love about Air Force 1s.
Christmas came early when I received these Nike Air Force 1 Craters! As I unboxed them I truly questioned whether or not Iām cool enough to wear these (pregnant, 36 year old, stay-at-home mom here). BUT *mindset shift* in the words of the great Mrs. George, āIām not like a regular mom, Iām a cool mom.āThis is my first pair of Air Force 1ās and I found them to be super comfortable and cushiony. I like the colors tooāneutral enough that I can wear them with pretty much any casual outfit. I donāt love the design on the back but itās not a deal breaker. I got these in a size 8, my usual size in Nike, and with regular socks they fit great. I also tried them with a thinner, no show sock and then they felt a little loose. All things considered, Iād recommend sticking with your regular size.Another thing that I like is that these are made with at least 20% recycled content by weight. In the last couple of years I have been making an effort to make my wardrobe more sustainable; filling it with quality pieces that will last. I havenāt had these long enough to really assess the durability but if they are anything like my other Nike shoes I trust they will last awhile. My only real concern with these shoes is how dirty they will get. Iām a city dweller and walk A LOT. They seem easy enough to clean and with the pretty sizable lift/platform I think theyāll be fine. Iām also trying to figure out the best way to tie (or not tie) these shoes because I think all the cool kids wear them that way. Gen Zā can anyone help me out?!
I was genuinely surprised and pleased by how comfortable these shoes were. Typically, these arenāt the kind of shoes that I tend to go for. I have larger than average feet, so I tend to wear shoes that wonāt make my feet look even bigger. On first glance, the Nike Air Force Crater 1 shoes look pretty clunky, but aesthetically, I loved the design. Theyāre not āloudā shoes, which I like, but still have a very distinct and unique look about them that will make you stand out, with its classic Nike swoosh. The soles are a mix of foam and rubber, so you get both the lightweight feature of foam-soled sneakers along with a solid shoe that can hold up well against the elements. And I really can wear these all day, having stood in them for hours at a time. I almost feel like Iām bouncing when Iām walking in them, they are so light. I also appreciate that Nike was environmentally conscious when designing these shoes, as theyāre partially made out of recycled materials. The only minor issue I had with these shoes were when I initially put them on. The ankle collar of these shoes come up a bit higher than shoes Iām used to wearing, so initially, it was digging into my ankles. I now remember to wear my higher-rise ankle socks when I know Iāll be wearing these shoes, and it does the trick. No more discomfort or digging into my ankles, and just lightweight comfort all day long!
These are cute shoes and super light weight. We live in a very walkable neighborhood and they are comfortable even after wearing for several hours. They do run a bit large; Iām typically a size 7 (probably on the smaller end) and these were a little bigger than Iād like. When Iāve worn Nike running shoes, Iāve done size 7 and they fit perfect. My biggest downside to the shoes is that any sort of scuff or mark does not come out. I have two kids who step on my feet often and had a large black mark on the front of both shoes that I couldnāt get rid of no matter what I tried. I really like the look of the light color, but definitely wouldnāt recommend if you want them to stay looking nice. I have other white shoes that easily wipe off so look much better than the Nike ...Ā MoreThese are cute shoes and super light weight. The Nike Air Force 1 Crater's Womens shoes are EXTREMELY comfortable right out of the box. The day I got them, I wore them to a photo shoot later that night. I was on my feet, moving around for 4.5 hours on a hard concrete floor. My feet didnāt ever start to hurt and they were perfect for moving around in. I was also squatting down a lot during the session, and I did not have any toe creases in the shoes after.Iāve worn them almost daily since then, and they are soo comfortable. Everywhere I go, strangers always compliment my shoes, so they are definitely eye catching as wel!My only complaint is the material gets dirty fast. So while they do tend to pick up dirt, they are very easy to clean with supplies everyone has around the house.Overall I recommend these shoes! They are very stylish, and comfortable!
This is my first pair of AF1 and I love them. The sole is very lightweight and the thick platform gives me some extra height. The fit is true to size, I usually wear a 6 and their 6 fit perfectly. I like that the body of the shoes feels sturdy and has some structure to it. The pastel colors are fresh and the speckled sole is really cool. The biggest downside to these shoes is that the sole is very slippery! Definitely not something you'd want to wear if the ground is wet. Overall a solid awesome shoe though. Happy to finally own a fresh take on this classic sneaker.
Unique look while being super comfortable! The color combination on these shoes is not something you see every day. They are super cute to throw on with an athleisure look or even the trendier dress with sneakers look that is so popular right now. Originally, the sole was a bit thick for my tastes but once on it isn't a noticeable feature. Love the use of recycled material in these shoes. It's nice to be stylish while also being conscious of the environment! Overall, these shoes are very comfortable for extended wear. My feet felt supported and they didn't require a breaking in period. Even being on my feet for several hours while 8 months pregnant!
