Nike Air Max 95 Freddy Krueger

The Nike Air Max 95 “Freddy Krueger” is a Halloween 2020 release that references one of Hollywood’s most villainous characters, Freddy Krueger. Krueger, who appeared memorably—or infamously—in the film “A Nightmare on Elm Street” in 1984, has been a source of inspiration for Nike in the past, most notably on the unreleased SB Dunk Low from the mid-2000s. Here, the Air Max 95’s signature wavy overlays are cast in an alternating red and brown canvas material reminiscent of Freddy’s famous knit sweater. Brown mesh detailing can be found around the eyelets beneath the white nylon lace holders. The grey suede overlay found on the toe along with the Metallic Silver accents on the tongue salute Krueger’s razor gloves. A split white and brown “Air Max” emblem is stitched onto black and white plaid tongue. A red and silver motif on the heel suggests a malevolent vibe. Red tinted visible Air units on the heel and forefoot of the brown midsole tie the look of this spooky Air Max 95 together. Release date: October 30, 2020. Velvet Brown.
