It took me five minutes to put the shoes on the first time I tried. The fit was very tight, I’m talking straining and moving the chair I was sitting in to get them on, but once I shimmied both feet in, these shoes fit like a second skin. I like to jump rope before starting my work and getting into my gym routine, and these were surprisingly very comfortable and light. I liked that they effortlessly helped me tip toe when jumping and the fact that they feel like they come with a slight insole to help with flat feet. I actually tested these out on a Disneyland trip. Not only where they extremely light to walk on, the mesh/product of the shoe helped with how hot and humid it was outside so it was very nice. Standing in line can cause some stress on knees and even the bottom of your feet but because of the insole and the way the shoe is shaped, it gets with balance and even lifting that strain off. I have tried several other running shoe brands and none compare to how lightweight and comfortable these running shoes are. I have only logged about 25 miles on these babies, but immediately felt the rewards of the foam design on my legs (I'm a 40 something active runner). I felt less leg fatigue and stress on my joints, especially since I have used the Nike Zoom AlphaFly Next exclusively on road runs and on the tread mill. About a year and a half ago, I bought my first pair of alphafly. The same size as this one, but blue top and white below. It was wide at the forefoot, just right for me, and felt like a soft glove from the get-go. I felt the bounce. I used it in races. Now, I figured maybe I need a new pair since the last one isn't as bouncy as it was. This time, though, is it the same shoe? I mean, it feels tight at the forefoot, tighter to get my feet in, not as bouncy. Is it the black paint that's added to the white part of the shoes? Still, I think I can run in it. I'm keeping it because I can't think of another pair of shoes to get for racing. Maybe my forefoot got bigger...
