As soon as I put them on and went for a run those concerns disappeared. The thick Zoom X midsole cushioning provided the extra support I needed. I’ve ran on the treadmill and outside on the road/sidewalk and these are great for either. The lacing system on these are also very sturdy. I had a pair of Nike Free Runs that ripped at one of the lace holes and I was unable to run in them anymore. The Vomero 16 has a very strong lacing system where that should never be an issue. For casual wear, these are great to run a quick errand in or just general all day comfort. I also wear these when I lift for upper and lower body and although they are great for upper body workouts from a comfort perspective, I would say if you’re doing lower body, particularly squats and calf raises, these may not be the best shoe for those exercises. To me, it feel like as you roll closer to the balls of your feet, the sole gets much thinner which puts more pressure on your ankles. That could have something to do with the calf injury, but when I run/sprint I don’t feel that same thinness in the sole closer to the toe box of the shoe.Style wise, these aren’t going to turn any heads, but if you just looking for a clean, comfortable, versatile shoe then you definitely can’t go wrong with this one. The air max, vapormax and other Nike lifestyle shoe options are definitely more stylish, but this blows those shoes away in terms of running performance in my opinion which is what I like the most about this shoe.Lastly, it’s worth mentioning the durability of these. I’ve ran outside in the rain and inside and these still look brand new. Outside of running in the mud or getting some sort of stain on them, these should look clean and presentable for months regardless of the wear and tear you put on them.Comfort: 5/5Style: 3/5Durability: 5/5Performance: 5/5

Overall, this is a middle of the road shoe, in a good way meaning it should please a large spectrum of runners, with an emphasis on comfort: a. Upper is medium thick and breathable - overall comfortable, b. lacing system is actually effective once you rapidly get used to it, c. stack height is medium with a soft and responsive ZoomX under the heel and Zoom Air under toe which could be a bit more bouncy yet I like the trade-off for a non-intrusive road feel you get back, d. outsole is good with a good mix of lug shapes for versatility for road running. The shoe runs narrow to average (I have a narrow foot and am very happy with the fit) and between the high'ish drop these days (10mm) and geometry, it is smooth, it rolls well and is stable without being a stability ... MoreOverall, this is a middle of the road shoe, in a good way meaning it should please a large spectrum of runners, with an emphasis on comfort: a. Great Running Shoe

Historically, I had found that Nike running shoes did not really work well for me because my feet would normally be very fatigued after running over a mile on any surface or if I just casually wore the shoes around all day. However, these shoes have proven to be a game changer and really an opinion changer in terms of how I feel about Nike running shoes. To start, I typically like the fit of my shoes to be about a half an inch or more longer than my big toe to account for a little wiggle room. This shoe, however, was a perfect fit, which thankfully ended up being fine for my purposes. The shoes run very true to size so unless you have a preference, like myself, there is no need to size up or size down. The width of the shoes were fine, as well. The shoes run very true to size so unless you have a preference, like myself, there is no need to size up or size down. The width of the shoes were fine, as well. I have narrow feet, and the shoes were a medium cut. Yet, they were snug enough for a secure fit and not so wide that I felt like the shoe was not secure. I used these shoes for a jog/run as well as casually wearing them around for a day as I ran errands around the city, and I must say that I found the shoes to be very comfortable. The shoes really somewhat conformed to my feet and offered really good support as I have a high arch. I did not find my feet to be achy or tired after either of those activities, which, like I mentioned earlier, surprised me given my experience with Nike running shoes. The only thing that was was not as great for me is the actual design. The design is not bad, but the shoes just did not stand out in aesthetics as some other Nike shoes. The shoes are a very basic style, but since the shoes are white, they pair well with many outfit combinations. All in all, I must say the shoes are a great pair of shoes for running and casual activities, and the comfort and fit of the shoes steal the show for me.

Vomero's have been great over the last two iterations. Last iteration with full length zoom and react and the current with zoomx. This version with zoomx will leave you speechless. They check all the boxes. They feel low enough to feel the ground, have a wide base, materials are very comfortable and breathable. The two shinning lights for me are the premium shoe strings and zoomx cushioning. It really doesnt get any beter for a good every day, everything shoe. I'll admit there are better options for speed work but these perform exceptionally well for just about all activities. They have served me well from all day walking to HIIT workouts to moderate to brisk paced runs. Zoomx is very comfortable. Its firmly bouncy if that makes sense. It really is the only shoe I want to wear. My only small gripe would be the fit. There will be a bit of heel slippage until they break in but there are additional lace holes to aid with lockdown. This is a HOF shoe and will be really hard to out perform for the next iteration.

One of the best training shoes I’ve ever worn

Usually running shoes are bland and featureless with the emphasis put on technology or a gimmick that will make you supposedly run faster or longer-not the case with the Zoom Vomero 16. Simply put, these are some of the best and most supportive running shoes I’ve ever worn. This is not hyperbole, from the form fit of the shoe, the support of the midsole not being too bouncy as to throw you off your running gate, to the responsiveness of the shoe as you run faster, these Vomeros will take whatever you have in stride. I got over that pretty quickly after putting them on. If I could nitpick, I wish there were more monochromatic colors available as the white will get creased and dirty quickly with regular usage-then again if you are pushing yourself and these shoes to the limit that may not be a concern. As a daily shoe for the more stylish person then, these may not be the ones. However for literally everyone else who needs a shoe that will do absolutely everything all day long then these are an essential pair.

So far so good... Setting PRs.

Out of the box I loved the look of the shoe. Wearing them took a second to get used to, because they are not as cushiony as I'd assumed they would be. I am used to minimalist shoes however, so they did not feel foreign. They have a surprisingly wide toe box, which is a feature I generally prefer. I wore them around the house for one day then for 2 miles running, and things just kept feeling better. Finally, I wore them on my long run and managed to PR my half marathon time on a road with 1900 feet of elevation gain. They held on well on massive, damp hill bombs, and the spring made running up certain grades feel mechanically natural. I don't really have any complaints yet aside from kind of needing a "breaking in" phase. I'll be curious to see how they hold up at ... MoreOut of the box I loved the look of the shoe. They held on well on massive, damp hill bombs, and the spring made running up certain grades feel mechanically natural. I don't really have any complaints yet aside from kind of needing a "breaking in" phase. I'll be curious to see how they hold up at even longer distances (though I haven't done ultras on the road yet).

Sooooo Comfortable
12 October 2022

Straight out of the box these shoes felt kind of lightweight. Once I put them on I felt... bouncy and comfortable.Note that the tongue does not come all the way out, it's attached to the shoe. But the insoles are easily removable for cleaning and/or adding in your own personal insoles. They fit true to size as all my shoes leaves a little space at the toe and these did as well. The heel and toes areas feel spacious while the mid area feels more snug but not in an uncomfortable way. It feels like a nice little hug.I've walked, jogged and completed different exercises in these shoes and the word that still comes to mind is comfortable. Even after hours of wearing them.I thought the design was average, and actually like how they look from the bottom better, ... MoreStraight out of the box these shoes felt kind of lightweight. Good thing is that it's only noticeable when looking up close. It hasn't hindered the performance of the shoe and with the material it's actually expected.
