This shoe has superior shoe laces to all other Nike shoes. The laces last a long time, are much easer to tie and don't unravel during intense training. I save the shoe laces and use them on other Nike shoes that don't come with them. The shoes have 5 eyelets on each side, which are ideal although 4 eyelets would be enough. The Flyknit structure is light and more comfortable than other Nike shoes. There is no advantage to heel padding. They are easy to put on and take off. I have probably bought a dozen pairs of these shoes. I go through two pair a year and wear them frequently. The soles are the only part of the shoe that wears out is the bottom. The shoe bottom design also picks stones more that other Nike designs. My advice to Nike would be to make a slight update ... MoreThis shoe has superior shoe laces to all other Nike shoes. Please don’t stop making these (especially the iconic black with white soles and white swoosh). They are my favorite pair of shoes (just bought my third pair). I wear them everyday, I wear them to work, I wear them to the gym, I wear them on summer hikes, I wear them traveling. They’ve made my feet stronger, and with that strength made these shoes the most versatile of any shoe, while still looking normal and even stylish and iconic. If you are thinking of creating an updated version, that would also be great! Some recommendations:- Please keep the laces, but understand they are just for aesthetics. We don’t actually need laces that need to be tied just the facade of laces would be great!- I already have stepped on the heels so much that these basically work ... MorePlease don’t stop making these (especially the iconic black with white soles and white swoosh). Designing them explicitly for easy on/off or as fold down heels as slippers would be even better. It would only require small changes to the flyknit pattern at the heels.- Please understand a big benefit of these shoes are the barefoot aspects (I personally remove the insoles too). I’d love the toe box to be widened slightly, a little more room for the pinky toe to grow forward, and for them to not have a toe lift.- Bonus: A waterproof variant would be even better for those rainy days! I’d buy a second pair just for different weather days.

Love the show and the comfort. My only negative is that I cannot wear very low socks as the back of the shoe rubs my heel area and takes my skin off. Because of this, I am forced to wear ankle socks which take away from the look for me. I love the no sock look and I cant do it with these. Not the best shoe if you have weak ankles as it is a soft running shoe but that's what makes them so comfortable. They are very light weight and soft. Almost as if you are barefoot but yet the bottom is well protected.

These are the most comfortable shoes ever! My second pair and thinking about getting a 3rd pair for future replacement. So lightweight, breathable, they slip right on as long as I don't untie them. Nike doesn't make them like this anymore, at least I havent seen any newer versions that are just as comfortable. Alot of similar "sock like" fit shoes dont fit my large ankles/legs and are so tight. Also love this grayish black color scheme. Classic!
Just bought these to replace my old ones. Don’t stop making them they are some of my all time favorite shoes. They are incredibly light and breathable as well as durable. I have run miles in them and I also used to wear them to work when I was a flight instructor. I would spend all day outside doing many different tasks and pulling planes around and these were always good. Even after buying new ones I don’t know if I could throw my old ones away.
I've owned four pairs an am looking for my 5th pair. This is the perfect sneaker. Highly breathable, (no other shoe from Nike is really this breathable). Super comfortable, very lightweight. Only minor con for the shoe is that it's easy to get pebbles stuck on the bottom and that Nike stocks a single, ugly color for it. I would buy 3 pairs today if they had decent colors, or allowed custom colors for this show. I have zero interest in any other Nike shoe as no other show meets all my requirements.
These shoes have to be the squeakiest noisiest shoes that I’ve ever owned. I waited months to write this review because I was hoping that they would wear or break in or something. But no, I disturb the peace wherever I go. The Free Runs are comfortable. But they should be under house arrest and not worn in public. Try a different shoe.
I have purchased these shoes 4 times now. The material lasts. The shoes are light and flexible but hold up! My feet never hurt! They’re also really breathable. They are the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever had. Would like this shoe in many more colors.
This is the best shoe I have ever owned. I have been looking for the perfect shoe for a long a time. This fits the bill in all count. It is comfortable, the top is flexible, it looks nice, it snag to the feet, it has ample ventilation on the top and the sole is flexible. I bought three of them. My only complain is the bottom texture. The bottom attracts small stones. It collects stone like magnet.
Incredible disappointment! I have been the biggest fаn this shoes since 2019. Did you destroy beautiful shoes? Why, why do you make shoes narrower and narrower every year? You think that people have one less toe.I was delighted with my running shoes that I purchased in 2019. I still wear them to this day. They are practically indestructible. I decided to order new ones. They're disgusting. These are not the same sneakers. Why are you silent about this on the site? They have become narrower, no, they have become many times narrower. There is no trace left of the comfort of 2018 shoes!Attached is a comparison of the same shoes from 2019 and 2023. Same size 9.5
