Love these shoes! My 9 year old daughter is athletic and active. She’s always playing sports, running around outside and is a member of numerous youth sports teams. She tears through her shoes, no matter the brand. Unfortunately. since we got these shoes for her outside of her basketball season she wasn’t able to wear them in an indoor game, but for her day to day energies and outdoor basketball, they have held up perfectly. The laces stay tied (she ties them herself) and the wear on the shoe after a few weeks is not noticeable. The shoe hugs her foot, and we had no tubing or blisters (with any random sock she chose on any given day). She wears them all day long- to school, recess and playing basketball and football outside with friends. Her feet don’t hurt, she ... MoreLove these shoes! In her elementary school, having cool shoes is important. She now has a pair with incredibly unique style and coloring!! No one has seen these yet, no one else has them, and everyone now wants to know where she got them. The shoe catches everyone’s eye, and she is pumped! I highly recommend that you give them a try!

I have these in Water Battle. The color and style are really unique. I love the confetti looking sole- the green, yellow, blue, and white really fun. The yellow Nike swoosh connects in the back and continues to the other side of the shoe. Pretty cool! Love the green laces too.As for comfort- super comfy. Feels like my feet are in a padded pillow. I don't like right lacing and I can definitely wear these loose but my feet still feel secure in them. Three some are super grippy. No slipping or tripping with these.I also love the cutoff on my foot when wearing these. Certain sneakers can make my legs look short depending on how high the tongue goes up on the foot, but these hit just right and accents my ankle and leg perfect.Overall I really like the shoe. It is a rare day when a pair of shoes arrive at my house and fit without issues, but the JA1 shoes did just that! We loved the colorful design with coordinating laces. My son was excited about the style as we unboxed them, but I held my breath as they looked wider than he can usually wear without heel slippage, yet once on, they snugged around his feet great without even needing to pull the laces overly tight. He has slim feet with a narrow heels, so the current trend of bulkier shoe styles can be challenging, but this style worked great for him.He could wear these shoes for any activity and be comfortable for long periods while looking put together too.The durability has yet to be thoroughly tested as they have only been worn a few weeks, but they still looked ... MoreIt is a rare day when a pair of shoes arrive at my house and fit without issues, but the JA1 shoes did just that! After all, I feel like I found a unicorn in boy's shoes!

A rare miss for Nike for these. They’re definitely stylish, but quality and functionality isn’t there. The materials are stiff, but yet still flimsy/little support and they have no traction. Eventually ended up having to get something else for my son’s AAU season after watching him slip all over the place in every game at two separate tournaments and multiple different courts. No issues since his new pair arrived and these are now everyday shoes. So great if just for fashion/everyday wear; not great for actual basketball.
My 9 year old son has been wearing these shoes for a couple weeks and he loves them! They seem pretty sturdy and flexible and he said he is able to run and stop quickly. The colors and design of the shoe are really cool. These are his most worn sneakers lately due to the eye catching details and colors, which are his favorite. The bright blue, green, and orange give it a very unique and trendy look. The only thing he didn’t like so far is that they seem a little bit tight near the toes. He doesn’t have a particularly wide foot, so maybe it could be we just need to go up a size, but I feel they run narrow in the toe area. We received these in a size 4 and that is his normal size in sneakers, but it seems my boys feet grow so quickly! They’ve held up well and look like new, but he is not hard on his shoes, he takes good care of them. Overall I would recommend these for their comfort and style but I would maybe go up a size in the future. I had to use a shoe widener for the toes for a day before he could get into them comfortably. They are really a beautiful summer sneaker that matches most of his outfits.
Snagged a pair of these shoes for our 10 year old daughter. We got them a little large so that she could grow into them but she, nonetheless likes the fit and feel of them. She did notice and point out, as soon as she put them on, how wide they seemed to be, especially in the toe box area. I asked her if they fit too big or felt too big as a result of that but she said they did not and fit just fine. She was just seemed to be a bit self-conscious of how wide they looked. I explained to her that sometimes shoes can appear extremely wide to you when you are wearing them because your perspective is different (i.e. looking straight down at them) than that of what others see (i.e. seeing them from the side). I explained to her that sometimes shoes can appear extremely wide to you when you are wearing them because your perspective is different (i.e. looking straight down at them) than that of what others see (i.e. seeing them from the side). She seemed to get over that pretty quickly because she has worn them a number of times now. We both got a pair of these Ja Morant 1's so she enjoys wearing hers when I wear mine--great father/daughter bonding! I digress though. She was impressed by the fit and feel of them and enjoyed the support that they provide for her feet while participating in all kinds of different activities including running, chores around the house and outside, and others. My daughter really likes the design of the shoes. She gravitates towards bright colors in shoes and clothing and these were no exception in satisfying that desire to wear such apparel! She liked the little details that she found as she slowly checked out the shoes from all angles including the Nike check that wraps around the heel of the shoe and is allotted some 'give', if you will, in that area (i.e. you can slip your finger in behind it--just a little thing to fidget with that kids always appreciate!). She also mentioned the multi-colored camo design on the forward sides of the uppers and said she liked how the colors in those patches looked together. We both enjoyed finding little details all over the shoe like Ja Morant's young daughter's name inscribed on the insides of the midsoles. She asked, "What is Kaari?" I explained to her that that is Ja Morant's little girl and that he likes to bring her out on the court after games and that she helps take his game-worn shoes to fans in the crowd after he signs them. She thought that was pretty neat. She agreed that the material used to make the shoes felt very durable. She liked the feel of the soles of the shoes and said that they seemed to help stabilize her while walking. I figured a lot of that also had to do with the width of the soles as well, which I also explained to her--seem to be greatly designed shoes for basketball (obviously) as they would help keep the wearer from rolling their ankles on quick cuts. What she liked most about the shoes was, as previously mentioned, all of the small details and the bright colors used in the design. It's easy to forget sometimes as users of sneakers, just how much thought and time is put into the design of the shoe and if you take the time to really check the sneakers out that you buy, you might be surprised some of the little 'easter eggs' you might find, this pair included! As you might have guessed, the one thing she would change about this shoe if she could, would be the width of the forward half of the shoe. With her being a 10-year old, however, I wouldn't expect her to realize the purpose of that more likely being for utility rather than aesthetics.Overall, I would definitely recommend these shoes for grade school kids that love to be active and especially for those that enjoy playing basketball. They will indeed help to provide proper support for their ankles and stability while running down the court or just running around in a field. Incredibly durable material that will wear well while your child uses and abuses them!
My 8 year old daughter got these JA1 shoes. She loved the design, colors and statement they make.Design Likes/Dislikes: The Nike symbol is plastic material that wraps around the entire shoe and is detached from the shoe in the rear - a very unique design. The camo on the shoe can also be found on the soles of the shoe - another eye-catching feature. The shades of green and blue are very pleasing, and the orange gives the show its pop; however, the colors are unique and don't match too many of her clothes (she doesn't seem to mind). The overall shape/size of the shoe is a bit bulky - they look a bit wide through the metatarsal area - I wish it were a bit narrower. The shoelace length is just right for a bow without ends touching the ground.Wearability ... MoreMy 8 year old daughter got these JA1 shoes. However, my daughter adjusts to it quickly and finds them comfortable enough to wear all day through school and after school activities. The design of the sole gives the shoe great traction; however, sometimes too much traction as the shoe "squeaks" a lot when it grabs the floor.Overall, my daughter really likes how these shoes look and feel. We've only worn them for several weeks but they do appear to be holding up well and are of high quality (to be expected with Nike).
There is a reason why Nike is a trailblazer in sports footwear - their ability to come up with performance and functionality all wrapped up in one phenomenal pair of shoes. These JA1’s do not disappoint! I have a middle schooler, and as you can imagine, fashion is very much talked about by his peers most especially footwear! Whether my son is running, playing, or simply going about their day, the JA1 Morant Sneakers keep his comfortable but most importantly fatigue-free.The quality is true to Nike's excellent craftmanship. Even though they have been used everyday, they are easy to clean and so far have no signs of wear and tear. The stitching is clean and precise. Even the shoelaces are not starting to come apart! They also are breathable which my nose is thankful for!As for the design, the wrap around Nike swish in orange across the neon hues of blue is definitely what caught my eye first, followed by the green laces. The shoe is speckled with blue paint across the white exterior. Thats not all! Even the underside of the shoes has a fun design. the colors match everything my son wears - he uses jeans a lot - and is subtle that at the same time stands out.Overall, I highly recommend the JA1 Morant Sneakers for kids to any parents in search of versatile, comfortable, and stylish footwear for their little ones. From their sleek design to their excellent performance, these shoes stand out in the kids' sneaker market. Whether your child is a sneaker enthusiast or you're simply looking for reliable and fashionable shoes, the JA1 Morant Sneakers for kids won't disappoint.
I’ve worn them once as of now, but so far it’s a solid basketball shoe, especially for the price. It’s super stylish and lightweight, perfect for guards. The grip was great, but I was sliding a little bit as I was playing on an extremely dusty court that probably hasn’t been cleaned in a minute. The cushion was good and the overall support was good too. They were very breathable compared to my PG 6s as those aren’t very airy lol. They are true to size (although maybe go up half a size for wide feet) and also have a really nice loud squeak to them too. But yea overall so far is a great performer 8/10
In my daughter’s words, these shoes are “super basketball shoes”! She put them on right away and they immediately became her go-to shoe for playing, biking and running. Although the JA1 are her first pair of big kid Nike shoes, she now imagines herself to be a great basketball player and enthusiastically plays ball with her friends.I appreciate how easily the JA1 shoes clean up.
