Nike Kawa Slide Black White (GS)

I have purchased two pair of these sandals, and they are my son's absolute favorite. They are his go-to shoe anytime he doesn't have to wear sneakers. The have a cushiony, super soft sole and an upper that doesn't rub anywhere. My only reason for not giving them 5 stars is their durability. While the soft sole is extremely comfortable, it doesn't last very long for grade school boys. The foam on the toe end wears out after a few months of daily wear. These shoes do run a bit long and narrow. My son who wears a 5 in Nike sneakers wears a 3 in these. And, until they are worn for a few days, he complains of them being tight. I bought the same shoe for my husband and they were too tight so I had to go up a size.

My 4 year old is a little above average height and weight. He wears an 11.5 in sneakers. I got him the slides at size 11 thinking they would run big but no, they were too tight for him and so was the size 12. I got him a 13 and those fit perfect!

I bought these after trying on many different shoe slides just for a fun summer and go shoe. I liked this style of shoe with this footbed being so comfortable. It really annoys me that the women’s style of this shoe doesn’t come in plain black but other pretty colors that don’t match as much clothing styles. And the men’s don’t go small enough for women fit. So I tried kids on a random day seeing that they went up to a size youth 7. I know I can sometimes fit a kids 6 in shoes and I’m a women’s 8-8.5. I tried these on at the store in kids 5 too tight. Kids 7 too large. Which meant a kids 6 would fit great!
