Vomero 16 is easily my Top 3 gym shoe, or all day on foot shoe. They hug your foot & it feels like it’ll eventually mold to my shape. The Color-Ways they create go from Amazing to sleek & simple. I always wear Size 13, these are no different they fit perfectly even my right foot is a touch longer it fits w/o a jammed toe feeling because of the shape. If your deciding because of price, ok it’s your budget. If your deciding because in need of a reliable snkr than pick these. Running/Walking Shoes are like tires cheap ones might be as comfy but you’ll need knew ones faster. These will last miles I can tell. Not crazy of material used so I took a star. If it was a flyknit material, it would be sold out always. I’m very picky w/ running shoes $150 and up, but these are ... MoreVomero 16 is easily my Top 3 gym shoe, or all day on foot shoe. I got back into running after going the past 10.5 years of strictly weight training. Last shoes I ran in were split between the Vomero 2+ and original lunaracers. And before those, the Shox 2:45. I run 99% of the time on a treadmill, and so I can't speak for durability on hard surfaces. Overall, this is a middle of the road shoe, in a good way meaning it should please a large spectrum of runners, with an emphasis on comfort: a. Upper is medium thick and breathable - overall comfortable, b. lacing system is actually effective once you rapidly get used to it, c. stack height is medium with a soft and responsive ZoomX under the heel and Zoom Air under toe which could be a bit more bouncy yet I like the trade-off for a non-intrusive road feel you get back, d. outsole is good with a good mix of lug shapes for versatility for road running. The shoe runs narrow to average (I have a narrow foot and am very happy with the fit) and between the high'ish drop these days (10mm) and geometry, it is smooth, it rolls well and is stable without being a stability ... MoreOverall, this is a middle of the road shoe, in a good way meaning it should please a large spectrum of runners, with an emphasis on comfort: a. Purchase arrived about 5.11.23. Wore them to the Gym on 1st day and great, cosy, smart, well happy. Day 2, wore to the Gym, tripped up the stairs and a 50mm split in the sole appeared, not happy at all, meant to be "running shoes". Contacted customer care 2 days ago and have not heard anything, not happy at all. Obviously the product is made for looking nice but totally not practical or fit for the purpose they are marketed for. Don't waste your money on them even though they are cheap.
The design of the Nike Air Zoom Vomero 16 is clean and functional while holding a surprising amount of texture and detail. The white on gray palette is restrained but the variety of different fabric weaves and plastic finishes give the shoes complexity and depth. The shape is tapered and contoured to fit snugly which is welcome and comfortable even with my wide feet. The fit is firm but not tight due to a generous amount of padding on the tongue and sides. I wore a pair of basic cotton running socks and had no issues, but I wouldn’t recommend wearing anything thicker because of the snugness.I wore the shoes all day and my feet felt great. The top of the laces began to fray after only one day which made me question their lifespan but the padding held up and I had ... MoreThe design of the Nike Air Zoom Vomero 16 is clean and functional while holding a surprising amount of texture and detail. The top of the laces began to fray after only one day which made me question their lifespan but the padding held up and I had no soreness or fatigue after an active day. Granted, as a father of four kids in the suburbs my definition of an “active day” has changed from running 10 miles to the lakefront to playing with the kids and building a patio in the backyard. Despite the change in scenery and activities though, wearing a pair of well-made shoes is just as important when I’m on my feet all day.Overall, the Vomero 16s are stylish and comfortable. The design is layered and understated in a good way, the fit is excellent, and the feet of this suburban dad don’t ache after an active day.
Vomero's have been great over the last two iterations. Last iteration with full length zoom and react and the current with zoomx. This version with zoomx will leave you speechless. They check all the boxes. They feel low enough to feel the ground, have a wide base, materials are very comfortable and breathable. The two shinning lights for me are the premium shoe strings and zoomx cushioning. It really doesnt get any beter for a good every day, everything shoe. I'll admit there are better options for speed work but these perform exceptionally well for just about all activities. They have served me well from all day walking to HIIT workouts to moderate to brisk paced runs. Zoomx is very comfortable. Its firmly bouncy if that makes sense. It really is the only shoe I want to wear. My only small gripe would be the fit. There will be a bit of heel slippage until they break in but there are additional lace holes to aid with lockdown. This is a HOF shoe and will be really hard to out perform for the next iteration.
Usually running shoes are bland and featureless with the emphasis put on technology or a gimmick that will make you supposedly run faster or longer-not the case with the Zoom Vomero 16. Simply put, these are some of the best and most supportive running shoes I’ve ever worn. This is not hyperbole, from the form fit of the shoe, the support of the midsole not being too bouncy as to throw you off your running gate, to the responsiveness of the shoe as you run faster, these Vomeros will take whatever you have in stride. I experience some sort of back or shin pain as I run but I have none of those issues in these. I was able to keep a faster pace for longer because of how comfortable they are.I thought the styling was a little Dad-Shoe adjacent mostly down to the colorway of the white midsole and black uppers but that is a matter of taste. I got over that pretty quickly after putting them on. If I could nitpick, I wish there were more monochromatic colors available as the white will get creased and dirty quickly with regular usage-then again if you are pushing yourself and these shoes to the limit that may not be a concern. As a daily shoe for the more stylish person then, these may not be the ones. However for literally everyone else who needs a shoe that will do absolutely everything all day long then these are an essential pair.
Out of the box I loved the look of the shoe. Wearing them took a second to get used to, because they are not as cushiony as I'd assumed they would be. I am used to minimalist shoes however, so they did not feel foreign. They have a surprisingly wide toe box, which is a feature I generally prefer. I wore them around the house for one day then for 2 miles running, and things just kept feeling better. Finally, I wore them on my long run and managed to PR my half marathon time on a road with 1900 feet of elevation gain. They held on well on massive, damp hill bombs, and the spring made running up certain grades feel mechanically natural. I don't really have any complaints yet aside from kind of needing a "breaking in" phase. I'll be curious to see how they hold up at ... MoreOut of the box I loved the look of the shoe. Straight out of the box these shoes felt kind of lightweight. Once I put them on I felt... bouncy and comfortable.Note that the tongue does not come all the way out, it's attached to the shoe. But the insoles are easily removable for cleaning and/or adding in your own personal insoles. They fit true to size as all my shoes leaves a little space at the toe and these did as well. The heel and toes areas feel spacious while the mid area feels more snug but not in an uncomfortable way. It feels like a nice little hug.I've walked, jogged and completed different exercises in these shoes and the word that still comes to mind is comfortable. Good thing is that it's only noticeable when looking up close. It hasn't hindered the performance of the shoe and with the material it's actually expected.
