Awesome Running Sneaker

The style of these sneakers could not be more on-point! They truly could be worn for working out, casual wear or even for lounging as they are as comfortable as they are stylish. The black/grey/white color scheme makes them really versatile to wear with truly anything. As far as functionality goes, they are great for working out and running. The arch flex is really nice and almost makes them fun to jog in. I clearly love the sneaker, but my only disappointment is in the way the tongue is attached to the entire shoe. Makes for a little bit of difficulty slipping on and off. Overall, great sneaker as most of my Nikes are.

Shoe runs a bit narrow like other Nikes and does not have a tongue so can be somewhat difficult to slip on. Once on it is a snug fit but feels comfortable from the first wear with great arch support and for cross training. Stays comfortable all day long. Great grip on the rubber tread. Wide heel is nice for squatting type activities and tread runs high on the sides for rope climbing. Mesh on top makes it breathable. Great flexibility on the sole. Generally prefer a looser fit for my shoes but would recommend if you like a snugger fitting cross trainer.

These Nike Metcon 4 shoes are fantastic. The men's 11 ran perfectly true to size for me. These shoes look great, and they are incredibly comfortable. This is the first pair of sneakers I've ever tried with a fully attached tongue, and they feel SO secure and stable while I work out. I've never worn a shoe with this much support while lifting, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Total game changers! I wouldn't distance run in these shoes, but if you're looking to go from treadmill to lifting heavy, HIIT, or talking your dog for a jog these are absolutely worth your consideration. I've got a lot of shoes to choose from, but I find myself reaching for these every morning.

Great workout shoe
21 February 2022

Had the previous version and loved them, used for short runs and mainly gym time (lunges, squats, circuits with box jumps and side to side jumps, you name it). This version also holds up for everything in the gym while providing solid support on the sides, a little heel lift (nice for squats), and a hard surface to push from. Also comfortable for wearing around casually (opposed to standard Metcon or lifting shoe which is just too flat/hard for casually wear IMO). Can do shorter runs but recommend a real runner (like my pegs for this) for anything more than a mile or two. Hope Nike keeps going with the cross between Metcon and Free, I will keep buying and recommending! They are a little tight (I am usually an 11 and that is what I got for these) but that is kind of ... MoreHad the previous version and loved them, used for short runs and mainly gym time (lunges, squats, circuits with box jumps and side to side jumps, you name it). If you are looking strictly for comfort get a pair of runners or a lifestyle shoe.

Great, durable shoes!
16 November 2022

Sup fam,I am a swim coach and man do I get my shoes wet a lot. I was afraid of buying red shoes to wear on deck and last year I picked these up back in October. Well, one year later and I can say I still rock these at work! They have been thru so much chlorine water splash and they still look awesome. I've washed them a few times because I got them muddy but that's it, they still rock!-OT

Ok shoe, but missing the strengths of Free and Metcon
6 December 2021

I've long been a fan of Nike's Free series and the Metcon series, but this was my first chance to see how they work together.Short answer - not especially well.If you want lightweight, flexible, and cool, the Free running shoes are far superior. If you want planted, low to the ground, and stable, actual Metcon's are where to look.Unfortunately the combination of these two compromises those strengths. The upper provides a snug, secure fit - but it's not especially well ventilated, and it's so tight it's difficult to get on and off.The sole is well cushioned, but it's not as flexible as a free running shoe. The large heel makes it feels high off the ground, which is bad for the lifts and exercises that are the core of a Metcon's purpose. The shoe actually ... MoreI've long been a fan of Nike's Free series and the Metcon series, but this was my first chance to see how they work together.Short answer - not especially well.If you want lightweight, flexible, and cool, the Free running shoes are far superior. It's got a big, knobby sole, giant heel, and massive Nike logo on the back. Made me think of the trend in pickup trucks to have bigger and bigger grills. Your mileage may vary on whether that's a positive or not.Overall, it's actually not bad for a walking around, hiking, etc. But that's not why you buy a Nike training shoe. Would highly recommend prioritizing what you need, and buying something that actually accomplishes that mission.

Snug and secure
8 November 2021

The Nike Free Metcon 4 Training shoes are a well-engineered piece of footwear. The upper of the shoe is like a giant rubber band that keeps the foot centered, and while snug, is not too tight. The stretchiness was comfortable for my slightly wide feet, and it feels comfortable enough to wear for a long time (but almost like compression socks). The forward part of the sole has nice deep grooves, which makes forward motion easy. The sole is nice and wide in both the front and back, so sideways stability feels really solid. The materials are high quality and stylish, and ventilation is good.

Unique design, great color way, comfortable.

Great design. Fun details with the snail on a company logo built around the idea of speed. Colors are unique. Comfortable. First day owning wearing them I walked 5 miles around a fair.

Unique firm fitting trainer shoe
8 November 2021

I've never had a shoe quite like this one. I find it to be a very attractive pair of shoes, with a good neutral color scheme. The mesh top, with re-enforced coating on the exterior toe, is both good looking and functional. The opening of the shoe is most notable, and a mixed bag. It is a fixed opening with minimal stretch. The back NIKE branded band on the back of the shoe is actually an elastic band that is pushing towards the inside of the shoe. The result is some effort to get your foot in the shoe, but then a very firm fit once seated properly. It doesn't even feel like laces are necessary! It is a pleasure to walk, run and just live in this shoe. Love it!

Very comfortable!
7 November 2021

Whenever I buy training or running shoes, my usual size 8 would sometimes be a hit or miss. Not with the Metcon 4 shoes. They fit me just right. These shoes are on a different level from what I am used to. They are a perfect fit for me - snug and seems like it hugs my feet and makes me feel like I am not wearing any shoes because they are so light yet amazingly comfortable. It also has great arch support. I got to try the fit, comfort, and durability of these shoes during my vacation at the Smoky Mountains. Non-stop walking for several hours, in different trails, for 2 days. I never felt any discomfort. Also, it looks so stylish. I'm so happy to have it!
