The Pegasus Turbo has always been a favorite of mine. I was a little skeptical when I heard the name was changing to “Pegasus Plus,” but now that I’ve tried them out I completely understand why they did it! I had a very great first impression of this shoe when I first pulled it out of the box. The design, the color choices, wow! The stripe in the middle of the shoe really stuck out to me and made me feel like I was wearing an elite shoe. I might have to buy a second one just to wear for style! I also love the stripe on the bottom and the way they added the name to the bottom of the shoe. The fabric is very breathable and stretchy and hugged my foot just right. This shoe worked well for my 5K runs as well as my tempo & speed runs. I am so happy with this new iteration of the Pegasus Turbo!!

This latest model of Pegasus turbo 4 is an AMAZING running shoe! My husband has bad callus on the bottom of his foot which can make it difficult to run at times. These shoes allowed him to run for a longer duration without feeling any pain. The light weight of the shoe as well as the fit made for more enjoyable runs. These shoes have become a staple of his everyday wear and make amazing walking shoes as well. Nike never disappoints with the design, fit and durability of their Pegasus. If you have ever debated buying any Pegasus, these turbo 4s are a must-have. Hopefully, there are neutral colors for this model. My husband is not the biggest fan of the bright color red/pink line which ran through the shoe.

I really enjoy the cushion that the Zoomx provides and the Flyknit fabric makes the shoe feel very light and bouncy. The single stripe design that runs from the toe to the tongue really makes these shoes stand out (and make me focus on running/walking straight lol). The color way is simple and I've already received lots of positive comments about the shoes when i'm out and about. The part I love the most about these shoes is the feel. I work in Physical Therapy and they feel good as a work shoe. It provides comfort without overlooking the performance part of the shoe. I normally run dirt trails and fire roads. I seldomly run on sidewalks or streets so I'm used to more traction on the bottom of my shoe. However, I plan on running a half marathon in Long Beach in ... Let me begin this review by noting that I am recreational runner, meaning I run to maintain my overall health while striving to better my stamina and speed. While I do not run to compete against others, or seek to set any records for my age group, I do consider myself to be an avid runner and typically achieve around ~12.5 miles / week. Over the past two weeks since receiving the shoes, I’ve ran just over 24 miles in the Pegasus Plus, which has led me to the below observations and conclusions.1) The Pegasus Plus makes running easy! With the unbelievably light weight of the shoe, I’ve never felt more connected to the running surface than I do with these shoes. Prior to the Plus, my default running shoe was a chunky and more rigid model designed by a well-known brand, which seemed to suit my needs at the time. However, the Plus has broadened my horizons. The shoe is so light that it requires very little effort to move in conjunction with your stride, contrary to many models where it feels that you need to run through your shoe. Further, the Flyknit design with the addition of the nylon band running down the center of the shoe is surprisingly successful at securing your foot in the intended part of the shoe. However, the most noticeable, and by far, best feature of the Plus is the ZoomX foam cushion. I have not yet had the pleasure of running the Zoom Vaporfly Elites, so this was my first experience with the ZoomX technology, and I have no issue stating that it is undoubtedly the most generous and supportive sole on the market. The energy return is immediately recognizable as you retain energy by ‘popping’ off the surface rather than sinking in and exerting extra energy to propel yourself forward, the latter of which I am more familiar with. The outsole adds no discernible weight to the shoe, and it seems to provide equal support no matter where you land on your foot. THIS feature, alone, is worth running the Plus.2) The shoe’s profile/design is incredibly appealing. I have to say that the Plus should be considered as one of the best looking, true running shoe, on the market. Between the Flyknit fabric (which seems to hold up very well), the new nylon stripe, and the contrasting colors (my colorway is the Barely Grey Hot Punch), the shoe stands out amongst most running shoes as they tend to look generic in my opinion. It’s rare to find both a great looking and very functional product.3) Nike has room to improve on the overall fit. Before I critique the fit of the shoe, I’ll note that I have narrow feet (although I never order a narrow size), and Nike footwear has never provided me with the most “ideal” fit. However, I must mention that I was underwhelmed with the fit of the Plus. While my heel fit snug and comfortable as designed, I can’t help but to feel that the midsole really opens up and creates an awkward amount of space for my feet. Although the length of the shoe fits true to my size, it sometimes felt that I was running in a wide width shoe, with too much side gap in the midsole area. Although there are no pinchpoints in any area of the shoe for me, I was left wanting a more snug midsole to support the front half of my foot from having too much variable movement from impact to launch.Overall, I’ve given 4 out of 5 stars as I’m left very impressed by the attractive design and practical technology. For most runners (including myself), this shoe will give you everything that you need and more. Nike has found a way to hone in on the cushion technology, which has made a substantial difference in my run fatigue. However, I’m a bit disappointed by the fit and support provided to my type of foot, and hope that Nike can figure out how to bridge the gap in the future.
I am an avid runner, putting down 20+ miles a week, so I was extremely excited to get into these new, upgraded Nike Pegasus Turbo 4’s. Before I received the Pegasus Turbos, I have been running in all of the top brands out there, and rarely pick up a Nike running shoes, but when I saw the sleek knit upper, lightweight feel, and cool designs, I had to try these out. When they came, they were flashy, bright, and fun which suited my personality, and that hot punch colorway is my absolute favorite colorway Nike puts out! It felt like the cushioning just disappeared, and the sole support that I loved in mile 1, and from all of my current daily runners, was no longer there. I gave the Pegasus Turbos another run to see if it was my imagination, and it was the same, lack of cushion and support during longer runs. My runs have average 5 or more miles this past month, and the Pegasus does not deliver for endurance athletes and distance runner like me. I will say this though, best thing about this shoe is the style, and I will definitely be mixing them into my daily style when I give my Jordan retros a break, since the Pegasus Turbos are comfortable to be in, but just not to distance run in. If Nike wants to suit runners like me who train for half marathons, they need to increase the cushion in the sole. When deciding to buy these, it’s all about knowing what you’re going to use the Pegasus Turbos for, style, short distance runs, or epic runs like me.
I’ve been a fan of Nike’s retro running shoes from Air Max 1’s, 90’s, and 95’s. Great models for casual use, but when it comes needing something for serious performance, I’ve yet to be disappointed with Nike’s offerings with the modern Pegasus or Odyssey lines. That’s where the Pegasus Plus steps in.I do plenty of outdoor and indoor treadmill running. So I’m always in the lookout for something with a lot of cushioning. The Pegasus Plus does just that when you first look at the shoe. Right away you’ll notice the thick ZoomX midsole that blends seamlessly to the lateral upper swoosh for a striking yet smooth design choice. I have a pretty neutral stride when it comes to running. The ZoomX foam is both light and soft, which I feel gives more than enough support for any style of runner. With my casual use with my pair, I have no issues and my feet are pain free. I’m looking forward to trying them out for longer runs.
The NIKE Pegasus Plus is an ELITE running shoe! Your foot will easily slip into a pair and you will feel the stability/comfort right away. The Nike Zoom X in the midsole adds to the plush ride the shoes provide. They are perfect for walking or running! If you pronate or supinate do not fret. If you are flat footed these runners will accommodate you as well. I ran in them utilizing each known popular running style and felt no pain in my soles or ankles after every run. The Pegasus Plus are extremely lightweight and perfect for all body types. This shoe could certainly double as a pair to hit the gym in and workout before or after a run. They are incredibly stylish and constructed with Flyknit technology, mesh, and a quick lacing system. I would recommend these shoes ... MoreThe NIKE Pegasus Plus is an ELITE running shoe! I was skeptical about Nike's foot in the running shoe market until I tried these shoes. How they were used:When it comes to cardio, I'm extremely regimented in my daily routine. 30 minutes in the morning of incline treadmill walking/jogging, 30 minute mid-day walk, weight training 6x/week and all while hitting my step goal of 12k steps per day.Fit:These shoes held up to the test. I was a bit nervous that Nike's current iterations would be too narrow for my wider foot and not provide enough stability like some previous models I've tested (retro Air maxes, new air maxes, trainers, Jordans). These shoes secured my midfoot while allowing enough room in the toe box for the toes to comfortably feel the ground.Comfort:With 12k steps per day every day, they're my go ... Whether I'm traveling or training, they're such a great all around shoe. They remind me of a firm hybrid memory foam mattress. They're cushioned but firm enough to let you feel connected to the ground with each step.Style:Wow, I've never received as many compliments as I have with these shoes. I love how loud they are with its clean lines. Huge Nike Swoosh on the entire midsole. I'm in love! Nike really hit home with making running shoes look stylish. This is a huge plus for a daily sneaker.Support: They definitely provide ample arch support as well. I have a tendency to roll my ankle once in a while when the cushion is too much but these were stable enough that I had no concerns!Definitely consider these if you want something comfortable, durable for training and everyday use without compromising style.
TL;DRSuper comfortable shoes for walking/standing, and it feels like springs propel you to run faster!Longer versionI broke these in at my standing desk (I stand for 8 hours a day during work). They were a tad uncomfortable during this period. After, I wore them on a 2 mile run and finished with my fastest pace of the year! The design is very cool, and I would buy another pair in a different color way to wear out to brunch or while running errands. The color way pictured is good for running at night because the large pink stripe is reflective. Two weeks before I got these shoes I ran a half marathon, and ever since I had been struggling in motivation to get back out there. These shoes gave me motivation and joy while running again.
I am very impressed with the Pegasus men shoe, right out of the box the shoe really stood out to me and I know right away the quality and performance of the shoe would be great. The comfort and fit of the shoe was perfect, I usually size up because i have wide feet but the fit on the pegasus was perfect and comfortable. The sides of the shoe wasnt tight at all on my feet it almost felt like walking on clouds. The design of the shoe was amazing as this is my first pair of Pegasus style, although i would have preferred and thicker shoe tongue/ cushion for more stability. The fabric and materials used for the shoe itself was great quality. The colorway of the shoe i was very impressed it was a great combination of colors used. I liked most of the shoe was how comfortable it was and when running or jogging the impact of the shoe on the feet was great. The only thing i would change about the shoe is the midsole because after a few times using it outdoor, the midsole cushion starts to wrinkle up and got worn out fast. I would probably use a better material for that part or different color to hide how it wrinkles up. and also change the tongue of the shoe with my cushion or thicker material. Overall it is a great runners shoe and would definitely recommend to others.
