The React Pegasus Trail 4s are supportive for everyday activities as well as any trail run you want to tackle. These shoes fit true to size, I am typically a 9.5 in running shoes and they fit perfectly. Although I typically go for flashy colored running shoes, I like the black and grey color because they are versatile for any occasion, going for a run or going out to dinner. The best feature of these shoes is the traction they provide for any terrain. I personally like these shoes best for running on trails, rocky terrain, or gravel paths. However, they are a little too springy for flat roads so I swap shoes when I'm going on a flat road run. Overall, these may not be best if you just run flat roads but I would recommend these for trail running or for everyday wear.

I kind of love these shoes. Out of the box, they were a bit snug in the middle part of the foot but they have a roomy toe area. If I had tried them on in a store I might’ve gone up a half size. I can comfortably wear the size I got though. They’re sturdy but super lightweight and well made. I especially like the bungee style shoelace wires (see pic), which make the shoes seem secure but flexible. I got caught in a downpour at one point while wearing these and they kept my feet dry and didn’t slip on wet sidewalks. I did have issues with the higher ankle on these rubbing against my skin to the point of breaking it, but now that I’ve broken these shoes in, they’ll probably be my new go-tos. They look great too. And the box came with a cute camper sticker!

At first glance, the Nike React Pegasus Trail 4 has a very simple and straightforward look. The Nike swoosh logo is positioned on the outside of the shoes and incorporated in such a way that the design is visually pleasing. The large Nike Trail logo, however, is located on the interior side of the shoe and looks out of place. The color scheme of the shoe I have is very complementary (black, white, and grey). Although, you cannot go wrong with any of the other color scheme combinations that this shoe offers. The Nike React Pegasus Trail 4 is a very light shoe. Possibly one of the lightest trail running shoes I have ever held. The weight of the shoe is similar to that of a very light long distance running shoe. This shape of the shoe has a narrow look and feel to it. There looks to be a decent amount of cushion in the soles of the shoe. The soles of the shoe looks and feels like it is made up of a foam material. In trialing the shoe, I was pleasantly surprised with the fit and feel of the shoes. The shoes were very form fitting, soft and offered a lot of support throughout the sole of my feet. This was also a very noticeable arch support in the shoe. The tongue of the shoe was very soft and thin. After a week of running, I am very pleased and satisfied at how much cushion and support this shoe has. The material was very breathable and kept my feet cool and dry. Unfortunately, like all other shoes that are breathable, if you step in a puddle or mud, you’ll more then likely have wet socks. The Nike React Pegasus Trail 4 has great traction and felt great on the trails, paved roads and on the treadmill. In the end, I would highly recommend this shoe to anyone that is looking for a no-nonsense running shoe that is not too flashy and has a great feel. This shoe is great for indoor and outdoor running. The shoe is very light, comfortable, and will keep you running for hours.

I have about 90 miles in with these shoes, and I absolutely love them. I was skeptical about how grippy they would be on the wet rock in my region, but I am impressed. I only slipped a little bit on slick rock in a desert 35k, but it was reasonable. I especially appreciate the way they handle in mud compared to my preferred sole type, but they're not lugged out in a way that feels slow. My only complaint is that the heel rubs a little too much. I've done 25 consecutive miles in this shoe, and it didn't actually result in any issues, but I don't know if I would say the same for a 55k or 50 mile plus run/race. They're springy and natural feeling, and I appreciate that I can feel the trail without excessive cushioning gumming it up. And even with that trail feel, I ... And even with that trail feel, I haven't experienced ankle or foot pain like I have with similar shoes. They are an absolute gem. I look forward to experiencing the line further and have ordered a second pair.
This is a great trail running shoe for the slow lazy days, through to the fast and technical. These are my go to option. The midsole is reactive, and the right firmness for a variety of surfaces; the shoe feels stable and like I am in control. Some trail shoes can feel unstable underfoot due to construction. The tread is aggressive enough for the muddy sections without being too soft and wearing away too quickly. Nike really has reached a sweet spot with this shoe.My only niggle (and this is really nit picking) is that when running over very lose dusty terrain the dust can make its way into the the outer and inner layer. This means for weeks after the run i leave a trail of sandy material.
Very comfortable. Finally improved the finger loop, you can actually put your finger through it this generation. Slight raised heel accounts forward leaning posture which naturally propels you forward feeling like a fast running shoe. Perfect balance of cushion for road/light trails. Very happy with this generation on the pegasus trail. Can not comment for the Gtx versions as I have not got a new pair of those yet, however my wife is happy with her new ones Gtx trail 4s. These non Gtx ones feel very different to my Gtx trail 3s. They are more comfortable, slightly more cushion and rebound, which I prefer. If there was a negative, the sole tread could be ever so slightly longer. I believe it will grind down very quickly after a few runs converting from road to train.
The sizing and fit of the Nike React Pegasus Trail 4 are True to Size, I am size 10 in most Nike shoes like Nike Air Jordan 1 and it fits similarly.I did love the feel of the Pegasus Trail 4 shoe, it is one of the most comfortable shoes I have worn, these feel very supportive of your feet with the Nike react cushioning and feel great to wear every time.I love the overall design of the shoes; they look extremely nice to look at and wear. I like the nice toe protector outsole design; it is a must for me to prevent toe stubs. Another design feature I love is the Flywire lacing system, it makes life easier to tighten or loosen the shoe and it helps prevent heel slips. I liked the responsiveness of the shoe. The shoe is extremely light and feels very airy, and the extremely breathable upper material makes it feel nice when running.I do feel these are comfortable for wearing for a long period of runs on the road or trails, the Nike react material makes it extremely durable and comfortable to wear, and the breathable upper makes it easier to move your sweat away from your feet. The Pegasus Trail 4 is great and I hope to get a lot of mileage out of it.What I liked the most about this shoe was it was extremely lightweight and comfortable during runs. I loved the lacing system and it is amazing. I would probably not change anything from the shoes but would like darker colors.
The Nike React Pegasus Trail 4 is a supportive but springy trail running shoe. The soles provide good traction with rubber nubs that allow for walking and running on trails. There is a toe piece to provide protection. The overall aesthetic design of the shoe looks good enough to wear everyday even outside of running. I like that the branding is well incorporated into the shoe and not just an afterthought. The toe box is a bit too snug and narrow for my wider foot but it does provide good support for those with medium to narrow widths. I also found that my heel slipped and lifted up a little. Despite these fit issues, I did find the shoe to have the potential to be really comfortable for someone with a more compatible shaped foot. The shoe had a nice bounce and ... I appreciated the cushioned tongue and how it provides some padding from the laces. The laces go through holes with cords to hold them, which slightly made adjusting laces take more time but holds the foot securely. The fabric is lightweight but also thick enough to withstand abuse on the trails and pavements. The shoes also feel great on pavement or sidewalks. Overall, they are a good looking pair of shoes that provide traction and support.
I’ve been running in Brooks for the past two years. I got the Nike Pegasus 39 and I really like them. They have less cushion than the brooks.I saw The Pegasus trail 4 were pretty cheap and I decided to get them and I am so happy with them. They are reactive and have great cushion. More than the adrenaline, more than the regular Pegasus and they have extra support as well.If you like the Pegasus for road running but need some extra support, these are awesome. I’ve probably got about 40-50 miles on them (roads not too many trails) and they look great still.I think my fav shoe is the brooks glycerin for long easy runs but these are a close second.Prefer these to the brooks ghost by far- and adrenaline too- I think they might be a tad too supportive for me.If ... The Nike React Pegasus Trail 4 sneakers are one of the most enjoyable pairs of sneakers I've ever worn. When ever I put these shoes on, I instantly feel motivated to go for a run and be active. As a busy mom, that is a huge win, as it is sometimes hard to feel motivated after a long day! The foam cushion in the arch gives you a nice springy feel to your step, which is undoubtedly my favorite feature of this sneaker. They are extremely comfortable and supportive, yet lightweight so you feel properly balanced and not weighed down. The rubber sole near the toe is flexible, curved and strategically textured, creating the perfect amount of traction for running. As always, Nike's color combination is appealing and stylish.
