Very tasty cask strength drop. Full of flavour and surprisingly gentle on the palate. If you’re looking for smooth, non peated whisky, this one holds up well. The other whisky that this reminds me of is the Aberlour A’Bunadh. Sweet, with a lovely long finish.

A little harsh in the initial taste and not that keen on the smell.A couple of drops of water added softened it somewhat. Not a whisky I would recommend to a new whisky drinker.More matured whisky palette may enjoy more.

This whisky is a juicy fruit bomb. In the best way ever. I think people say this is peated but it's so mild. Maybe it's covered up by the fruitiness from the sherry casks? Either way this whisky is balanced and so delicious. I drool thinking about this whisky. Knocked a star down because I used to get this for less but I'll still gladly pay full price for this baby.Highly underrated Japanese whisky. Yall keep drinking that Nikka by the Barrel and Coffey Grain while I go hoard these single malts for myself

A decent whiskey but the Hibiki is a much nicer one for the money. I don’t have the palet sophistication to identify hints of truffle root trampled by unicorns in the Himalayas while carrying 4 raspberries wrapped in a tangerine peel. But I like it well enough- I just prefer the Hibiki.
Smooth finish. Caramel and a typical perfect Japanese whisky. Superb.
