I bought these in order to have a pocket sized pair of binoculars for keeping in the car or carrying in my shirt pocket. I chose them because they were inexpensive and they were constructed with the objective lenses farther apart than many pocket binoculars. I hoped this design would provide a more three dimensional view.Unfortunately, while they can be focused fairly sharply, they are quite dim except in bight sunlight and their image is claustrophobic. They do provide a sense of depth. I gave them four stars only because of their reasonable price, together with the fact that they come with a pocket sized case, a strap, and at least two unconnected eyepiece covers.Compared to a pair of Zeiss Victory 10 x 25s, they are neither as sharp nor as bright. (Given the price difference, I would have been surprised if they were anywhere close to comparable.) However, the latter came with no lens covers and a case that is too large to fit in a pocket. (I would steal the covers for the Zeiss, except that they are a little too light to fit tightly.)

I wanted a light, compact binocular for wildlife. These are a perfect size. Fits in a hoodie picket easily. Nice clarity and good magnification. Focus wheel is a bit small when using gloves. These are NOT waterproof. They will take a bit of rain and all the snow you can handle but don't immerse them. Mine were dropped briefly at a boat ramp (fresh water lake) and were immediately out of commission. However, a couple of weeks in a ziplock with rice got them back to good as new. It doesn't take much to waterproof binoculars so that's a negative. Otherwise, would recommend.

I bought these for my partner for his birthday and they are brilliant. We took them to Ireland with us and they easily fitted into his rucksack for a couple of day hikes and just for travelling around with. The focus is good and i could easily pick out things on the horizon. We have used them to look at garden birds as well and cannot fault them.Really good value.

I wanted an inexpensive pair of compact binoculars for hiking and back-country travel. After giving these a try, I have found them to be amazingly good. Build quality is excellent and the focus wheel is very smooth. All easily on par with far more expensive binoculars. Optical quality in the center is very good. Off center performance is good but this is where the most noticeable difference is between these binoculars and higher end models of the same size. However, even with models costing multiple times more, the difference is not all that significant. I would recommend these 10x25s to anyone needing a compact pair of quality binoculars.
My significant other needed binoculars for an upcoming cruise. She desired small, durable, and sufficiently strong to be useful. I dived into the Nicon Acculon reviews and this appeared to fill the bill. When I presented these to my significant other she was impressed. Within minutes she was surveying the lake and forest near our home and pointing out details. Impressed she was with the binoculars. Impressed she was with me. The cost was very reasonable and the transaction was uncomplicated. Thank you,
I bought these about a year ago and taken them hiking through the Blue Ridge Mountains and walking on Maui beaches. I've been impressed by their light weight and compactness. I appreciate the sureness of the rubberized feel and the balance in focusing between easiness and stability. As a photographer, I notice and really like the brightness and contrast of the images. The bino's twin hinges allow me to see a contiguous image, since I have a narrow interpupillary distance (on most binoculars, I see a black space in the middle of the image). The binoculars aren't waterproof. After I ran some water over the objective (front) lenses to remove sand, the binos fogged up for four days, then functioned normally. After I ran some water over the objective (front) lenses to remove sand, the binos fogged up for four days, then functioned normally. However, and fortunately, they don't fog up after going from a low-humidity, air-conditioned environment to a humid, outdoor environment, as camera lenses are prone to do. So, to be fair, with reasonable care and for the price, no stars should be subtracted for the lack of waterproofness (Nikon never claimed they were waterproof, anyway).
I love these binoculars for birdwatching. They are lightweight and small, making them easy to carry around. Great optics and viewing. Nice carrying case. Nikon brand is always my go to for binoculars. Good price and always exceptional and fast service from BHPV.
Sharp, bright and compact. Light weight but feel good in the hands. Fit well in jacket pocket. Great quality product at a reasonable price. Fast shipping. New in the box with quality cordura case and neck strap and rear lens caps.
Excellent. Looked just like the photo. I could not tell the difference between new and this "refurbished" product. I was prepared to accept some blemishes or whatever for the discount price. However, I could not find a blemish. And the binocs were better than my expectations were for their function and specs. I bought another model almost the same as a gift. Awesome.
After some consideration I decided on these pocket-sized Nikons and I'm so glad I did. I bought them to replace an old Olympus pair which had seen better days and were not great to begin with. What a difference these make! Image quality, colour rendition and brightness are superb, and at least as good as my full-sized Opticrons but without the bulk and extra weight. The focus is sharp and positive and the sleek black rubber body is well made and provides excellent grip. The adjustable neck strap works well, but like some other reviewers I was slightly disappointed to find there were no front lens covers provided. However, generic versions are available on-line from optical/birdwatching outlets at just under a tenner. Don't let this put you off buying them because these bins are of a very high quality and punch well above their weight. A practical and useable size too. When I called in to the Nottingham branch on a visit there, they were not in stock but a demo pair was available to try. Staff then kindly ordered a pair for me and I collected them from store the following day. Super service!
