Fantastic camera. Optical zoom on Auto is astounding. Surprising picture quality for such a small sensor. The only problem I have encountered is in Shutter priority, at 1/2000 sec for shooting birds. The camera won't focus at higher zoom levels where it will on auto.

The camera is awesome. I love the 83x zoom lens. The camera came boxed very securely. As for the bundle it was o.k. I had to buy a bigger camera bag as this one barely holds the big Nikon 950. I also bought a larger and faster memory card instead of the one I got, a larger card helps with the raw files. The extra battery was nice to have.

I really like the camera. Takes great pictures and has a super long zoom lens. I also appreciate the "Bird mode" feature which makes it great for birding.The negative relates to Ted's Electronics. The camera came with a European style power adapter, instead of the US style pictured in the ad. I recommend purchasing the warranty thru Walmart with this purchase.The Tripod supplied isn't very useful has it's very short.
I would not advise this camera it is a hit or miss whether you will get a good photo. You can take 30 pictures and maybe 4 are focused properly. My neighbor and friend have Nikon and they are feeling the same way. The zoom lense I was so excited to get but if the picture wont focus what is it good for. My previous camera was a cannon but was old and I so wanted this camera so i didn’t have to keep changing out lenses. But I should have stuck with the cannon brand.
Pros: The lens is remarkably stable for its power. The camera sits comfortably in my hand with easy access to all the controls. Once I was familiar with the various functions, which are intuitive, it became simple to access the menu and switch between them. A versatile and well made Bridge camera.Cons: It would be useful if Nikon provided a spare battery and charger. The strap which comes with the camera is basic and too short for me. A memory card is not included.
Its early days but so far this super zoom is working really well. Especially for by aircraft, bird and moon photos. Good quality at this price.
Loving it so far. Very easy to use. The viewfinder is a huge upgrade from the B700 previously used. I think the combination of size and zoom capabilities will be very handy for wildlife photography. Software package very easy to download and install. Filters work great and add nice layer of protection for the lens.
How does a novice describe this camera? First, the zoom is amazing. Period. I love this camera and the more I experiment with it, the more I love it.Video mode is fantastic.. But use an external microphone.. The built-in one allows rediculous amounts of wind noise even in a light breeze.The zoom is a bit loud too.. But that does not bother me.The ad picture for this bundle might make you think there are two cameras in the bundle. Nope. Just one. And the dinky tripods included are nearly useless, but that is not why I purchased it anyway.
