Nikon D7500 Camera with 18-140 Lens

The Nikon has a long history of successful and reliable DSLR cameras that often outperform most competitors in similar class of products. D7500 is a product that offers a good mix of features for travel photography. It might not be the most trendy technology of today considering the advent of mirrorless cameras; however, it is still loaded with commonly used capabilities for an amateur and professional alike. It also offers a great compatibility with wide array of optics developed over the years, both manual and auto-focus ones. The only disappointment is the limited movement of the back panel screen: it only tilts, but does not flip out completely. This makes it a bit difficult to use in selfie mode.

The Nikon D7500? Oh, it's a true delight for photography enthusiasts like me. That 20.9MP sensor? Let's just say it works magic – crisp, dynamic images that pop with life. Great camera but a little complicated for casual users

This camera does have a learning curve, especially for an amateur like myself. There are many settings that I will probably never use but it does take great pictures and I was able to use it after a couple hours of playing with it and watching online help videos. I just put it on auto and it sets everything for me. It is obviously good quality, it is a Nikon after all, and the bundle came with a lot of expensive software that seems pretty user friendly. The telephoto lens and macro lens both work well and install easily, but you need to read the instructions well or watch videos like I did. When you put on the main lens be sure to line up the white dots and then turn until you hear a click. The bundle came with so much it's hard to talk about it all but basically it came with a cleaning/care kit, lens covers for all the lens, colored filters and cases for the filters, for the camera, and even for extra SD cards. There are 3 batteries included as well as a tripod. This is an expensive camera for the average user and it looks it. It is pretty heavy with the lens and telephoto or macro lens attached. I judge it to be a semi-professional camera and really too complicated for some people but it is capable of many things and great pictures once you figure it out. If you take pictures for a living or even as a hobby that you practice often then I recommend it but if you only pull out a camera a few times in a year then it's probably too complicated to remember how to use well and not cost efficient. I did give it a 5 star rating because once again, it's a Nikon, it takes great pictures, and it is built with quality.

Nikon D7500

The camera is fabulous. Already was having fun with my D5600 but that was cut short when my wife took it and claimed it for her clinic:) With that I was able to upgrade to this D7500 and boy, I am blown away by the user-friendliness of the camera and its options and settings! A bit tough to figure out if you've made the jump from the 5600 to the 7500 but a couple youtube videos cleared it right up for me. I already have some great lenses from my previous camera and so far, the sharpness and detail of this 7500 is making differences for my shots. Seller was lightening fast and answered several of my questions post-purchase. Great camera! Great seller!

On first impressions it is a huge step up from my D90 which occupied a similar position in Nikon's range at the time of purchase. Aside from the obvious increase in pixels, the biggest differences are in focusing and sensitivity. Focusing is incredibly fast and accurate in all light conditions with the new focus modes all appearing to work very well. I generally use single point focusing but have experimented with the other modes and will definitely be making more use of them in the future. 3D focus tracking is especially interesting as it can track a moving object across the frame which would be great for wildlife or sports photography. The massively extended ISO range also gives access to a greater range of shutter speeds, I have moved my ISO limit (the max ISO I will normally use with an acceptable level of noise) up from 1600 on the D90 to 25600 on the D7500. Those 4 stops would cost me an awful lot in wide aperture lenses so are a real gift in low light. Beyond 25600 the grain becomes significant but you can still get usable images at 51200. The camera feels perfectly balanced and the button layout is slightly tweaked from the D90 to put the most used ones closer to hand. The new control dial allows control of shooting mode (including two user defined modes) and selection of single, continuous or timer functions. The continuous modes are very fast (up to 8 FPS) which I have not experienced on a camera in this class before and opens up some new opportunities. There is an articulated touchscreen which is nice and bright and allows for low level shooting with live-view but this is not something I expect to use often - it has full HD video capability for those that will use it and I expect the screen comes into its own there. Overall, I can't wait to get more use out of this. Amazon was by far the cheapest place (for UK stock) to purchase and although it was out of stock when ordered the communication was good.

Nikon's greatest consumer level DX DSLR.I have been using Nikon Cameras since film days and I own to many lenses to change to mirrorless. (not all SLR lenses are compatible with mirrorless bodies)This Camera has many similarities to Nikon's Pro D500 but for less money, it shoots fast, has a fair buffer, very good AF system for viewfinder. AF for Live View is only fair, not as good as the new Mirrorless Cameras.I have been using this Camera for over a year and still like it a lot. It only has one SD Card Slot but has never been a problem for me I use good quality cards. I feel like this Camera is a good value for the money.

Pretty Much Bulletproof

Recently bought a second 7500 body for a planned extended photo trip and since familiar with the first one I bought to replace a 5300 that I carried with my D300. This is a lightweight camera and has all the features you can imagine and many more. I have taken tens of thousands of images with it and last year it went back to Nikon for a tune up, although no parts were replaced - it was just cleaned. My first Nikon was a Nikonos II (kept on the antique shelf now) followed by all of the Nikon 35's F, F2, FM, FM2, Nikkormat, F3. I also have a lot of Nikon glass. Highly recommend. I also have a Nikon mirrorless, but have been falling back on the 7500 for my serious photo work.

Very nice camera for the price

I was looking for a good camera to replace my venerable Nikon D1. It still works great and takes great pictures, but the low pixel resolution and grainy low light photos are an issue. I do, however, own some professional lenses for it that I wanted to use with a new camera. After a lot of research I settled on the D7500, for features, specs and price, as well as the ability to not purchase a new set of lenses. I am not a professional photographer by any means, but I also want quality pictures and the D7500 really delivers. My AF-S lenses work perfectly with it and after shooting 450 pictures I am seeing fantastic results. The images are amazingly crisp and clear. Colors are accurate. What isn't obvious is a simple google search away. Nikon has mostly kept the basic controls in the same places so there was not a huge adjustment changing from the D1 to the D7500. If there's anything I am not highly enthusiastic about, it's the SnapBridge function. I have found it to be a pain to use. Personally, I prefer to put the SD card in the computer and import them that way. This is not a ding on the camera itself, if others find SnapBridge useful, then it is a good feature for the camera to have. In summary, I am very pleased with the D7500 and with the purchase from B&H, highly recommend both!
