Bought a litre bottle after being told by my son how good it was. True to his word this product is amazing, was able to waterproof dog walking coat, 2 x pairs of boots and 4 x dog coats and still have some over. Its absolutely brilliant keeping us and the dogs dry.

Shockingly surprised at how well this product worked. It has a waxy feel when sprayed on. I sprayed the product on my tent trailer canvas and there was a good down pour of rain. Not a single drop of water came through. Will buy again next year!

This is great stuff for waterproofing any technical waterproof gear that has lost all or some of it waterproof capabilities. I had an old goretex jacket that was starting to retain water. I first washed it with the nikwax tecnical wash. It came out really clean. And I water already started beading on it. But just to add the final touch I used both the Nikwax wash in and spray on.. and it is a good as new. I have also used this on other waterproof and resistant gear, jackets hats etc and even without washing in Nikwax wash or wash in. .. the Direct spray on has really done its job.
I was hiking in the rain a month ago with an old Gore Tex jacket. By the end of the day I was saturated. Went to Moosejaw, bought the cleaner and this spray, and followed the instructions. The jacket now sheds water like it’s brand new. I was honestly shocked at how effective this was in restoring the DWR coating.
This stuff is absolutely worthless. I purchased a 34 oz bottle to treat three (3) waist length polyester rain jackets with hoods. The cost was over $40.00. The manufactures recommended application rate was 8.5 oz per jacket. I divided the 34 ounce bottle into three approximate 11 oz portions and applied one portion to each jacket as per instructions and allowed to air dry. I have worn each jacket in mild rain and none of them repel water. The rain soaks through the jackets same as the did before treatment. I would have been money ahead to buy three cans of Scotchgard Water Shield. Don't buy this junk.
Have used this product before and have always found it to be safe to use. It dries quickly, I always give 2 spray coats when I use it. It is non staining so safe on any colouring.
I first used the tech wash to clean 5 pieces, two pants and three jackets. I followed the instructions and even my old costco hiking pants are now water proof or at least water resistant. My 3-year-old Northface shell is now soft to the touch and water proof again. It's worth the money to get another season or two out of your old gear.
We bought this a few months ago for various things (I.e., rain jackets, backpacks, tents, etc) and it's super easy to use. Works extremely well. Will definitely buy more for all our weatherproofing needs.
Had a marmot pre-clip that needed to be updated. I applied the nikwax per direction, worked very well with first outdoor adventure in the rain. Unsure about longevity.
