I can use this to feed my lab because it fits large dog kibble. He solves it pretty quickly (without white bones) but none-the-less he loves it, and it slows down his eating. I wouldn't trust my dog with the white bones, he's the type of just eat them. Also when he's done with the puzzle he tries to chew the puzzle, so I don't leave him unsupervised.

My mini dachshund has fun with this puzzle, keeps her busy for a moment or two trying to move the parts around. I did have to show her how it moves so she could see the hidden treats. I only put dry kibble/treats in it as it doesn't come apart for cleaning. You have to align the parts to form the "bone" and then move through each pocket to clean/rinse out. Easy enough to do but would be easier if the pieces just came apart.

Bought this for 9.5 year old German shepherd who is still a puppy at heart. She was able to complete it first try in about 4.5 mins (with all three white bones in use). I then set it up for her to complete again and she finished it but was noticeably exhausted. She likes it, and these days is no longer exhausted from completing it. It is very useful for taking the edge off her in the mornings as she tries to shepherd me outside into walks before I am ready and have had my coffee. It’s also useful for the same reason at nights. Highly recommend for bored dogs or anyone that wants to add another dimension to their relationship with their doggies. I also recommend for someone with a puppy because it teaches the dog prolonged concentration, and problem solving skills.

We really like this dog puzzle. It's just right between too simple and too complex. Our dog is crazy smart. But he also decides at times that he feels if it's too much work he's not putting the effort into it, even if he can figure it out. He's got a mind this pretty. So we got something that still could occupy him for 5-10 minutes, change his focus as a teenager, but with effort he felt he was getting enough reward for the work ot took...lol..
Awesome concept, the main part (blue and yellow swivel bone) is made really well. However the white bones are frail and flimsy. My pup chewed the one white bone I put into the puzzle and first day we got it when she was trying to get to the food underneath. It shredded and also made her gums bleed. A bit of a shame but aside from that it is an okay product.
I got this for my Beagle because she has an insane amount of energy and it causes her to be destructive. I put the treats in each of the compartments and cover a couple with the bones. It doesn’t take my dog very long to find all of the treats but I think it is like a real puzzle for her. I wouldn’t leave her unsupervised with it because I’m worried she might chew the plastic bones. When she knocks over the puzzle the treats easily fall out so I also have to make sure she doesn’t do that. I have another dog that doesn’t have as much energy and when I tried to see if she wanted to play with it she wasn’t interested at all. The amount of enjoyment your dog will get from the puzzle definitely depends on their personality.
Great toy! Well made. Instruction and supervision is necessary. After a few tries our pups understood the concept. They even took it out and placed it on the floor indicating that we should put treats in and play again. We had to store the toy out of reach to let them know that play time was a specific time. In all…a well made toy that will last a long time.
Slows up our fast eater but he quickly learned to remove the bones to get to the food easier. As an added benefit he has learned a new trick; at my request he brings me the bone. Definitely supervise your pup when using this to be sure he doesn't try to eat the plastic bones.
It pinched the lip of the dog and scared him At first this was a lot of fun, but the third time we used it it pinched Pip's lip and what had been exciting fun for him turned into something that made him anxious. He wanted to get the rest of the treats but now he was very apprehensive about trying. I moved it and gave him the rest of the treats myself. We will not use it again. We also have the Nina Ottosson game with just the white bones. Pip loves that and we will go on using it. (Fetch stock it if Ocado don't)
I use this with a few other brain games and it's easy to fill a morning indoors if the weather is awful. I put all 3 white bones in to make it harder/game last longer. If you freeze dog food into ice cubes, put them in the segments the game lasts even longer. I've had this about 6 months, use it frequently and it still looks brand new. I've got two cocker big pups having a great time with this game. Very pleased with it.
