My ancient well used well known branded food processor died and through habit and the desire not to be without one I ordered the modern same make replacement. It has turned out to be a huge disappointment. Not sure why I didn’t consider the ninja as I have several other ninja kitchen appliances which I love but hey ho. On a whim having been dissatisfied once again with the other brand I ordered the ninja. There is an outright winner for every aspect of this machine, the Ninja. The only thing my other one has which I would have liked with the Ninja is that it came with two, small and large, grating and cutting blades whereas the Ninja just has one. For a high value product, it's not great.It does work and seems to do a fairly good job.However,- it's very noisy, you really need ear defenders.- It not the easiest to clean, but perhaps that's no uncommon-I've had mine for perhaps two years, the 1.8L jug gears have melted and it no longer functions.I took it apart to find they are plastic/nylon. Reading the other reviews, perhaps my melted and stopped the plastic lugs snapping off which seems to be a common issue in the reviews here.I've raised a support query and so far 2 weeks with no response at all.Looking forward to hearing from Ninja...

I bought this in November and so far I am very pleased with it. I have sliced a kilo of carrots in less than 2 minutes and made a packet of bread mix dough. I did have to hold the machine down whilst bread making as it almost shook itself off the sideboard but no additional kneading was required and it proved and baked beautifully. I suspect I need to make lesser quantities although the motor showed no sign of strain whatsoever. The feet have very a strong suction but I was using on a non stick board hence the instability. I have not used the blender or individual cup yet but I’m confident they will be equally effective. All parts fit together well and machine is well made. This product has been on my list for since it introduced and the noise about it by social media foodie/cooks. Finally I bought it even though it was plastic. I usually opt for glass but there was no option that was glass, automatic, the watts capacity with all the components it comes and at the price its selling so I got it. I was so happy until it arrived but still I kept it. Now I regret, the food processor fell slightly and broke because it's not durable. I have been online trying to replace it for 5 months without success. Also the metal under the bowl is wearing off. It could be better products if the durability is increased even if it affects the prices,it will still be cheap.

We bought this processor hoping it would last a decent length of time given it's price, unfortunately after only 18 months the 1.8L food processor bowl unit has broken. The base spinning unit appears to only be glued to the base of the bowl, it presumably easily allows water in when washing it and as a consequence of this or just poor design in general, it has sheared off / loosened and therefore will not connect to the main base unit and turn the blades. This is a £200 unit you would hope it would last longer than 18months. Be aware the guarantee only lasts 1 year and therefore i have been told i will need to buy a whole new appliance. You can feel its quality when you take it out of the box and all is just such a fab, luxurious experience. As to the performance it does have a very stronge engine and works well with crushing everything - even the ice. So far the best blender I have tried, blends to perfection!Improvement Points: The only thing I will say - sometimes when using the processor it doesn't blend everything together all that smoothly but perhaps this is how processors work. Christmas present 2 years ago which I absolutely loved. It was used a fair bit but only in a small family home. The 1.8 Litre jug broke (fixings detached from base). No problem, these things happen so I bought a replacement £38.99 (ouch!). But the exact same thing has happened (I never put this second jug in the dishwasher).I complained to Ninja but tbh I can't find my receipt so I now accept I will have to buy ANOTHER one - but they're out of stock and have been for several months now. Plus, the reviews of the jug are awful. I am not alone in experiencing this breakage.I would look for another option if I were buying a food processor now, mine is unusable.

This time black plastic rotor part at bottom of the bowl has stopped spinning. I have been checking the website for a replacement bowl but it has been out of stock since January.
