Carafe will crack

Therefore, I expect to get many years of use out of my machine. Knowing the tank has a limited life before it gets mold trapped, I will hqve to look at other options.

Had this coffee maker for about 3 months. Tried to love it given the pod feature as well as regular pot. It like other reviews I cannot get the coffee to taste good nor is it the right temperature. Also the pod feature does force grounds into the cup when it’s used. And speaking of grounds and this is why the 1 star. This thing is a nightmare to clean. We primarily grind fresh coffee and the basket sometimes forces grinds around the lid and catches it when we put in as well. There are so many small crevices and it just gunks up around the lid so much to where it won’t close after my most recent clean we noticed in one of them it was full of mold. I just ordered the Braun we had for years and loved and this thing is going to the dump. Love ninja products just not this.

I purchased this item a couple of weeks ago and upon opening it, there were only 4-#4 paper cone filters. I work so hard to keep my trash to a minimum so the fact that there wasn't a permanent filter to fit the brew basket was a huge disappointment. I expected to have to purchase separate. ( More on that later). The directions to make a classic or rich travel size coffee was followed but the coffee sucked. Yes, I primed it. Then I threw caution to the wind and used the same amount of coffee I used in my prior and well-loved machine. Coffee is OK now but certainly does not live up to the stellar reviews. Then I went online to find the excluded permanent filter and there isn't one listed or available for this Model # CFP101. Then I went online to find the excluded permanent filter and there isn't one listed or available for this Model # CFP101. NinjaKitchen should be better than this! Climate crisis in process and anyone who purchases this machine is supposed to buy disposable paper filters for the life of the appliance. WHY AREN"T WE BEYOND THIS NONSENSE? Lastly, I refused to accept the situation so I took an old permanent filter from my previous machine and tried it in the Ninja, no go. The lid won't close and the appliance won't operate if the lid or top of the appliance isn't latched. I took that previous permanent cone filter into my garage along with the brew basket to test the fit once I reshaped it. I actually stepped on it to get the 2 flatter sides. Oops, too far then I went the other direction with my hands and I had it. You can do it too. You have nothing to lose. NinjaKitchen would have received a return if this had not worked. No, I would not recommend this appliance but if you find yourself lured by the stellar reviews and the price, there are work arounds.

Never buying a ninja again

Don’t recommend this model because I’ve had it for 27 days and it already does not work. Have descaled with a clean cycle twice and it keeps making all sorts of noise and will not brew - reads “clog” on the screen. Don’t recommend Ninja at all as this is my 3rd ninja in the last 4 months that’s broken. Their customer care and warranty program is no good. The first one leaked water after a few weeks. Called ninja and they made me cut the cord on video before they would send a replacement. They sent me a replacement with no accessories assuming I’d use the accessories from the original pot - problem is they send a different model so they didn’t fit. Customer care then tells me it’s back ordered and they wanted me to return the replacement instead of just sending the ... MoreDon’t recommend this model because I’ve had it for 27 days and it already does not work. Ninja DualBrew Hot & Iced Coffee Maker ROCKS!
7 January 2024

Our Keurig stopped working after 4 months. My husband and I decided to look for another brand for a single serve brewer and happened on the Ninja Duel Brew coffee maker. The reviews were positive so we decided to give it a try. Put in a pick-up order at our local Target, picked up the item in an hour. (BTW, Target made the purchase very easy.) We brought the coffee maker home, read the easy to understand instructions, washed and readied the machine. We first brewed a pot. The coffee was hot and very flavorful. The following morning, we used the single brew feature and again, the coffee was hot and delicious. I can't speak to the iced coffee feature as we haven't yet tried that option. Terrible to keep clean
14 September 2024

Had this for about 4 months now. After replacing another Ninja pot not because it was bad we just wanted a pod feature. We own several Ninja products but one thing will not be the coffee pots. With this unit , the measure sizes are strange. Have yet to be able to get the coffee to a good flavor. We grind coffee but when you do use the pod feature it forces the grounds into the cup.Now for the biggest issue and why I’m replacing it. Being able to keep it clean. This thing has so many crevices you open the lid and water buildup on the lid goes into the lip and holes taking coffee grounds with it. And we have noticed mold that can’t properly get to clean it. Also the craft when put into the dishwasher, the handle and upper ring around the glass fills with water first time I took it out I put it back on the machine hours later the water had slowly leaked down the counter and cabinets so now we just sit it in the sink for the water to drain out. Ninja really needs to find a way to make this an easier clean because mold is a nasty issue.

[Rewarded Review] Love it!

Love it! This is one of the best coffee makers I’ve ever had! I love that I can make a cup of coffee with KCups, or I can make a pot of coffee. I can make various ounces of coffee in my pot. Even the reservoir has notches in the plastic that serve as a handle. It lifts up easily and you can take it and fill it up and easily place it back in its place. I love the feature that allows me to make a cup of iced coffee. You fill up your cup with ice and the amount of coffee that comes out takes into account that you have ice in the cup. I love that there is a little tray I can pull down from the maker for my single cup of coffee. This allows you to reduce splash out of the coffee as it is going into the cup. This is a great coffee maker. I love Ninja products.

[Rewarded Review] My new favorite coffee maker
11 November 2024

I love this coffee maker and I use it all day long every day. The small footprint is a bonus making it easier to place on the countertop.I started out just brewing regular ground coffee into my 12oz mug so I'm not using the decanter. For me a 12oz cup of coffee takes 4 minutes. Then I started using the k-cup adapter which only takes 90 seconds to complete for a 8oz cup. The design makes it super simple to switch between the cups and ground coffee plus it has an attachment holder on the back for you to store it on.I also like how once you set the brew size it follows that size no matter how much water is in the tank. Now I can just fill up the tank and brew multiple cups of coffee before refilling it again.Would I recommend this unit? Yes I would.

Safe to say, this one machine alone has the high potential to obsolete all of my other coffee brewing products.Unpacking the Ninja was very easy and thoughtfully straightforward. I was impressed that the first thing you see when you unbox it is a set of quick start instructions, telling you how to clear the machine for first time use. No need to dig through the short instruction manual, with the quick start card immediately present in front of you. The various accessories were also nicely taped down for shipping, with edges of the tape folded over to allow for easy removal by the user. I also appreciated this thoughtful arrangement. The first thing you're supposed to do is flush out the system with a full load of water, so I set about to getting that done. Assembly for this one-time task was straightforward and easily accomplished. After flushing the system, I went ahead and installed the pod adapter to attempt to brew my very first cup of coffee through the Ninja. Swapping adapters was very easy and placing the pod for brewing is intuitively done without needing to reference any instructions. The controls are super easy to use and also intuitive. The machine is as easy as pressing the right buttons, then walking away. It will beep at you when the coffee is done, though the wonderful aroma of the freshly brewed coffee might keep you from walking away too far. The coffee is dispensed into them glass coffee carafe, which rests on a heated plate to make sure your brew stays hot for you.Pouring the 8 ounce cup into my tumbler, the coffee was piping hot and ready to kick start my morning. Flavor was full and complete, amounting to a perfect brew with the pod.I have yet to explore the additional features, such as setting the timer for an automatically timed brew, but I will get to that in the coming week.Overall, I am impressed with the feature set, the flexibility, and ease of use. Definitely a highly recommended machine to replace your other multiple setups!
