Save countertop space with the Ninja Foodi by getting rid of three appliances. The Ninja Foodi combines pressure cooking, slow cooking and air frying/crisping in one functional device. It supports everything we have seen referenced online plus has the added functionality of the air frying and slow cooking. Pressure cooking has been a joy to work with. The condensation collector is well designed and durable unlike our previous model which broke after two uses. Be prepared for this unit to be heavy. The built in crisping/air frying system adds some weight to the unit and it is not removable. When you want to pressure cook you leave the crisper lid in the upright position and then you attach the removable pressure cooking lid. We have had some minor difficulty aligning the pressure cooking lid to the base unit but I think in time it will become easier. The control panel features dedicated buttons for the following functions: temp up/down, time up/down, pressure, steam, slow cook, sear/sauté, air crisp, roast, broil, deyhydrate, keep warm, start/stop and on/off. Keep warm is a nice feature. After certain functions (pressure, steam or slow cook), the unit automatically switches to keep warm mode with a count up timer for up to 12 hours. Cleaning is fairly simple. Most of the accessories, including the pot and silicone ring, can go into the dishwasher. The pressure lid needs hand washing with soap and water. The base and control panel need a damp cloth wipe down. I really appreciated the cooking cheat sheet and the recipe book that included 45 recipes. They make it easy to get started for first time users and help one become familiar with how the appliance operates.

I have had the Foodi for almost a year now! My partner says I have a Foodi workaround for everything, Iâve used our normal range oven only a couple times since we moved this summer.Foodi is fairly idiotproof. The only problem I ever had was that I didnât realize the gasket was not pushed in all the way when I first got it, and so it took about half an hour to figure out how to make rice, since the pressure lid would not register as closed if the gasket isnât all the way pushed in. It looks all the way pushed in when itâs not. Iâve never been displeased that I got geek squad on it though. It looks all the way pushed in when itâs not. Iâve never been displeased that I got geek squad on it though. Thereâs a lot of Foodis refurbished available online so I was afraid of lots of defects but havenât had much of any.The only complaint is that youâll want to cook in non stick aluminum all the time! I hadnât done so in over ten years and only got the Foodi after a breakup. It could have saved my ex and Iâs relationship but we just had to hate on Teflon. There are ways to work around this though once you get more comfy with the machine. I place baking dishes inside inner pot, including cast iron, and heat-rated glass. I looked into whether you can buy a cast iron inner pot. It does not appear that a cast iron inner pot would be possible with this design, as it is relying on the aluminum to heat up fast and easy. You can buy stainless steel inner pot replacementsââ all of them that I have seen have a layer of aluminum at the bottom of the pot, so it can heat up the way it is supposed to. The stainless steel is good enough for me, Iâve never been a fan of scrubbing it and it reminds me of my last relationship but this is the price you pay so that you donât have to worry about DuPont shrapnel ultimately flaking into your food while it slowly and constantly death leeches industrial waste biproduct fumes. The included non stick inner pot I forgot if it actually has Teflon or if itâs just some kind of non stick coating, but the non stick coating does not have integrity, it started flaking in my inner pot after only a month or so. That is when I started using other dishes. It kind of creeps me out to think about using the inner pot plain and Iâve only done it a few times since, itâs not necessary really.I learned that, aluminum mini bake pans will heat up the fastest, and I use a stainless steel veg steamer basket for a grill which has a little arching handle over it for getting the thing out after air fryer or pressure or both. The sling accessory has been the most necessary, for putting underneath baking dishes to make it possible to get them out when they are hot. I think ninja should include another air fryer rack with the unit as you need to be able to utilize all the airspace if you are air frying for best results, as in you have to generally stand up the items, space them, etc. I also have a about 7 inch aluminum pizza crisper tray I use alot in the Foodi, it fits perfectly in the included rack and it is useful for items you want to brown or crisp. Mine is a circulon brand pan but Iâm sure plenty of makers to choose from there. There are more and more Foodi accessories and recipie all the time.My only other complaint can be dealt with by getting the newer model. You do have to change out the pressure lid to the air fryer lid manually on this model. If you want to steam and then crisp, this is the one thing that Foodi does not automatically do. There is a model with one smart lid available now.The size is fine for me and my man. I would want the bigger model if we had any more people we were regularly cooking for. We lived with his father for short periods of time last year and it was adequately spacious with him added to the mix too, he wasnât generally a regular Foodi patron but he loved the croissants! To conclude between this and the Miele vacuum, I probably would not have gotten a 2020 divorce if I had had these items. Live n learn, new man is much more excited by the Foodi anyway. So if you have a partner who thwarts the Foodi, lawyer up, hit the gym, and serve them whilst your Foodi is serving you! Also if they poo poo the Foodi ask them why they kept being in a relationship with you even after you [insert disappointment here]. Give the Foodi at least as much of a chance as you would give your human. The Foodi is much more loyal, predictable, hot, and usefulâŠ..heh. Youâll feel like a stupid American using such an automatic machine, but it sure beats the pressure cookers of yesterday which I was rightfully terrified of. You donât even need to understand how the pressure works in the unit to be able to use the Foodi. If you are constantly having pressure problems it may be because you didnât put the gasket on at all (it will close without it but canât pressurize.) Or it maybe that you werenât thoughtful about leaving vent open when you screw the pressure lid on, or always forget to close the vent after the pressure lid is snuggly placed and closed. I havenât needed to use geek squad nor deal with the manufacturer

I was hesitant to try the Ninja Foodi 11-in-1 cooker, because Iâve already proven I donât have the skills or motivation to âproperlyâ cook. Iâm glad I did however, because I really like this machine! The Ninja Foodi 11-in-1 at itâs core is a 6.5 quart pressure cooker, but it has a crisper lid on top that allows you to air fry and brown foods as well. Between the pressure cooker and secondary lid, you can pressure cook, slow cook, air fry, steam, sous vide (cook in a bag slowly in water), bake, roast, dehydrate, and more. Thereâs little you canât do in this thing, and as long as you can follow basic instructions, itâs hard to mess up. A growing number of recipes for this series of machine is online, so between the 45 page starter recipe guide and those you can find online, you should find more than enough things to keep your kitchen and stomach busy for a while. The Foodi is stainless steel with a 6.5 quart nonstick pot inside. You also get a flat(ish) disk for air frying that goes down into this, and a roasting rack. The crisper lid is attached to the machine and opens via a sturdy hinge, and the secondary pressure cooker lid is separate and can be used while the other one is up and not in use. The controls on front are easy to understand and allow you to adjust the cooking mode, pressure time, or air crisp time and temperatures, and more. It will even keep pressure cooked foods warm after theyâre done. Itâs large enough to cook a 5 pound chicken or up to around 3 pounds of French fries in air fryer mode. The machine is slightly larger than other popular pressure cookers out there, so you will need a fair amount of counter space for it, and since the crisping lid is attached and opens up, some headway is also needed when using it.Air frying is a healthier alternative to traditional frying, and so far we have tried hamburgers, hot dogs, and mozzarella sticks in the machine on this setting. Simply put the fryer tray down into the pot, choose âair crispâ, and the proper temperature and time (the included booklet gives you some charts for the most common foods for these settings). Close the lid, and hot air will swirl around your items, evenly and quickly cooking them. Four burgers at medium-well only took around 13 minutes, and were still juicy on the inside and tasted great, minus some of the fat which drips down into the pot. Hot dogs have a nice crispness to them like a grilled dog, and the cheese sticks were likewise better than when done via other methods. Most items do not require any added oil, but with some such as fries, you can lightly spray on a small amount to give some added flavor and crispness. With the pressure cooker, we have tried mac-n-cheese which was done in only a few minutes. Once done, we took off the pressure cooker lid, and closed the crisper lid for just a few minutes, and it added a crust to the top of the cheese which tastes really, as in really, good. Weâll be trying fish next but the grocer was out of most options, so that will have to come later. A pot of mixed fresh vegetables came out really well via pressure cooking though, as it should with any device like this. The steam function turned out some nice broccoli and carrots using the broiler rack.Honestly, I rarely give 5 stars to items because 5 stars to me represents perfection, and Iâm a nit-picky person who can usually find SOMETHING to wave a finger at. But in this case, Iâll give the Ninja Foodi 11-in-1 the 5 stars, because it literally can handle almost anything I would want to do in it. Ok, one thing â on some of their items, Ninja will include a full sized air fryer basket with walls and a handle, and with this model, itâs basically just a tray that sits down into the pot. I would have preferred the full basket for this price (around $199 retail), but I wonât knock off points for that because itâs still fully functional with what you get with it.Yes, we need to continue to support our local restaurants, because for the foreseeable future, life is still going to be different degrees of weird. But you canât live on that stuff all the time. Itâs time to eat healthier, and this machine will help you do that. I recommend it for yourself, or as a gift for someone you donât hate! Thumbs up.
This review is for the purchase of my sisterâs cooker. I also happen to own one. As does my brother. And cousin. Theyâre too handy not to have around. Initially I had a stand alone air fryer but with a newborn in the house I was interested in an instapot type deal since I can cook shredded chicken and beef with little to no effort. My cousin showed me his Ninja and I bought one right away. Now I use it all the time. The capacity in the air fryer is good for fries or cheese sticks for the whole family, fast and efficient for when youâre making multiple baskets while entertaining. The pressure cooker portion lets me cook a whole Chuck roast in no time to make beef stew when sheâs had a long, craptastic day and the sautĂ©e sear function works like a charm giving me ... MoreThis review is for the purchase of my sisterâs cooker. The capacity in the air fryer is good for fries or cheese sticks for the whole family, fast and efficient for when youâre making multiple baskets while entertaining. The pressure cooker portion lets me cook a whole Chuck roast in no time to make beef stew when sheâs had a long, craptastic day and the sautĂ©e sear function works like a charm giving me enough space to move my meats around getting an even sear. I make summer medleys in this thing. Every function I try works great though I have yet to use the dehydrator portion. The lid would make it a hassle under low cabinets as it swings pretty high when using the air fryer (pressure cooker has a separate lid that required the air fryer lid to be open pointed up). All in all this one item replaced many kitchen gadgets and despite its larger footprint it does save space compared to all of the things it will replace.
I've heard great things and was excited to try the Ninja Foodi after being an Instant Pot girl for years. We got this and I was thrilled to have one appliance do everything, saving cabinet space by getting rid of the separate air fryer.I didn't even try this before returning it. There is a separate pressure lid, which is clear in the overview. However, the main lid doesn't come off while the pressure lid is on. Instead, you have to tilt the main lid up and it stays propped open the entire time. It's therefore too tall to fit under standard cabinets and is in the way. We use the pressure cooker feature most, so that was a deal breaker for me.
I have 11 different Ninja products in my kitchen and the 6.5 quart pressure cooker and air fryer has a KNOWN problem, just check out the Better Business Bureau's website. It was great when it worked (for about 8 months). I called prior to the year "warranty" and the customer service representative told me that they know about the problem but they would not do anything for me. Her offer was that I could buy another base from them for $169.00 plus shipping. REALLY?? Well, thanks a lot Ninja. Thanks for nothing. You lost a life long customer who previously told people how great your stuff was, just one example: my neighbor bought 3 Coffee Bars and a Smart Screen Kitchen System on my recommendation. You lost a life long customer who previously told people how great your stuff was, just one example: my neighbor bought 3 Coffee Bars and a Smart Screen Kitchen System on my recommendation. However, because you are knowingly selling problem items to your customers and do not stand behind them, I will NEVER buy or recommend another product from Ninja and I have personally spent thousands of dollars on their products for myself and for others. In the future I will spend my money buying from a company that knows what customer service is and it's definitely not them.
The utility of this air fryer- pressure cooker is vast and amazing. I have several air fryers of different types (Ninja toaster air fryer, oven air fryer, Ninja dual-zone air fryer along with the Ninja pressure cooker air fryer), and I find this type (pressure cooker) extremely useful. I use it almost daily as a rice cooker, and I make all different types of stews in it, and even soups. I use it to broil, bake and pressure cook meats, grains, peas, etc. Cooking organic raised (free-range) chicken in the pressure cooker as well as oxtails is a treat. It (the Ninja pressure cooker/air fryer) makes cooking everything easier. I simply love. Last year I gave five of them as Christmas gifts to family members. They all live it. I was talking with a colleague about it. She said she purchase one but had it in the box for a year. She started using it after our conversation. Everyone I know who has this product loves it.When you purchase this air fryer also purchase an extra pot. It helps you to do your cooking seamlessly; because you can put one pot aside with your stew and cook the rice in the other pot. Honestly, this is a great kitchen utility. Even though itâs a pressure-cooker air fryer, it fries chicken perfectly. I have come to love the Ninja brand. I purchased two other air fryers that were not Ninja. I gave them away and went back to buy the Ninja types (roster air fryer and oven air fryer). Best decision!I am healthier because I use my air fryers to quickly prepare meals. Plus I dehydrate fruits, veggies, plantains and sweet potatoes etcetera, to use as snacks.I would give the Ninja brands 4.75 out of five (5) stars. I give 4.75/5 because nothing is perfect; but also because I have the Ninja dual zone air fryer (with two chambers). I use it frequently to do fries, nuggets, hamburgers, bake pizzas and calzones, etcetera. Everything, all come out perfectly. The only problem is that with the frequency of use, the paint is beginning to come off the chambers. I purchased it at the beginning of the pandemic lockdown. So I am disappointed that you can see the silver below the paint. However, the defect is in a small area near the bottom and is hardly noticeable. Of course I wash the chambers so I can see the slight defect. No one else sees the defect, and the defect does not interfere with the optimal performance of the air fryer. Seriously Ninja air fryers are outstanding, but the pressure cooker air fryer is chief among them.

I absolutely love my ninja foodies. This is my second one and I decided to splurge on it for the dehydrate and yogurt features that werenât on my first one. The first one I purchased back in 2018 and have consistently used it once or twice a week since. These will save you so much time and the actual cooking is so hands off that I can spend more time with my family in the evenings. My first foodi was heavy duty and built extremely well, I was disappointed to open this newer model and find a cheap and light weight version. Iâm guessing the extra bells and whistles are there to make up for the bad build quality. With as much use as my foodies get I will be surprised if this one lasts long.
