I have found the ninja foodi max 9 in 1 to be one of the best pieces of kitchen equipment I have ever purchased. I thought long and hard before I chose this over a straightforward air fryer. I’m pleased that I opted for a foodi max. I now regularly make fantastic yoghurt in it, pressure cook eg dried beans quickly thereby saves a fortune on tinned ones! Of course the air fryer function is just fantastic and so much quicker and more importantly healthier with less oil used an added bonus is its easier to clean than fat splatters in an oven or hob. I ordered direct from ninja and was glad I did as there was on first attempted use a problem with the pressure valve for the pressure cooker lid. As there was a definite fault I rang ninja customer services and spoke to a very helpful member of the ninja team who was able to turn the phone call into a video call. As soon as she saw the problem she organised a replacement immediately. Once this arrived I contacted ninja customer services again and another equally helpful member of the team organised collection of the faulty foodi at a date convenient to myself. Top notch product sold, by ninja directly through their website with top notch after sales service and care which in my book well deserves 5 stars

First thing I can say is the chips are better than in the oven that's frozen and fresh. This multi cooking device is great our slow cooker has gone to charity, the pressure cooker needed replacing and we needed an air fryer so this little beast does it all and more. My wife has dried orange slices for Christmas decorations already. We use it about 4 times a week as it saves power over a large oven, smaller space to heat and saves energy. It's not the best for a full roast dinner ie joint, roast potatoes and Yorkshire's where an oven needs to be used. We still roast joints and chickens in it. It's generally quicker than my fan oven for all cooking. Slow cooker and pressure cooker parts are very good. The important part of cleaning is it's easy and quick so much less ... MoreFirst thing I can say is the chips are better than in the oven that's frozen and fresh. This multi cooking device is great our slow cooker has gone to charity, the pressure cooker needed replacing and we needed an air fryer so this little beast does it all and more. It is large but does fit in the cupboard but because it replaces so many things and is used regularly we are happy to leave it out. I hope it lasts well, it seems a quality build.I can't think of any negatives it will cook meals for 5-6 depending on the dinner. It's not perfect for everything. I'm a convert especially now energy prices have spiked.

Very pleased overall with the cooker.Couple of minor niggles.....Pot is non stick, grill rack supplied by Ninja with cooker is all metal. could end up scratching non-stick pot. Opted to put a cut up fat trapper in pot when using grill rack to prevent this. Ideally, grill rack should have coating on feet to prevent this. silicone sleeving maybe?condensation trap requires cleaning after each pressure cook and is fitted at back of cooker. Firstly, The service from John Lewis was excellent. 5 Stars. Now for the Ninja. One of our main reasons for buying was to do with Energy costs, well it does what it says and significantly reduces energy usage with regard to cooking.Ease of use, Its simple to use, instructions are clear, the machine is well made and the size is manageable, its easy to clean and isn't unsightly.Quality of food, well to some extent that's down to the cook, I have read reviews which said this was burnt or this was underdone, well check it as you would a conventional oven. We have had excellent food costing less to cook. Two things, firstly practice makes perfect and secondly I wouldn't buy any cook/recipe books check out the Ninja site loads of tried and tested options.Would we ... MoreFirstly, The service from John Lewis was excellent. Bought the Ninja Foodi MAX 7.5L during lockdown after seeing my sisters 6l in action, the looks of the ninja foodi looks contemperary and stylish with a turn dial and buttons for the controls the air fryer lid is non removeable.Theres also a Pressure cooking lid, a cook and crisp basket with diffuser and the dual layered racks included along with a pot which is place inside the foodi which allows it to operate. Also included are a manual and a small cooking guide. The foodi is easy to use by pressing the Temperature, Function or Time buttons and turning the dial to the function, temp or time you desire on the display which has led lights to indicate the settings. The air crisping function was easiest to use as you can lift the air crisping lid open to actually check on the food while it was cooking where I actually ended up cooking a roast chicken. The grill function puts the ninja on its highest temp setting of 240 degree celcius and is what the americans call BROIL on thier ninja foodi and i find it works great for steaks.I tried using the pressure cooking function where you use the seperate lid which twist locks onto the top of the foodi, there are some issues where you have to make sure the rubber O ring is placed down properly when you use it along with the twist valve which you use to quick release the steam. While pressure cooking was easy I couldn't really get the hang of it but thats probably my skill using it though.Cleaning the basket/ racks was easy you jsut have to hand was them in warm soapy water with a soft cloth and no metal as it could shred the nonstick coating.Bad points are I found while the foodi looks classy it feels lighter and a bit hceaply built construction wise. The handle on the air frying lid does get hot when you lift it open to peek at the food cooking but also on the pressure cooknig lid the metal trim on the top of the lid near the handle gets really hot where I did end up burning couple of times which has put me off using that function. The big pot that comes with the foodi i noticed small nicks at the ceramic coating after a few uses. But also my OP500UK has a really loud buzzing noise when you used the air crisping lid where i had to return it and get a replacement the buzzing in the replacement isn't as bad as the one i sent back, but for the price of the device the foodi itself it really leave alot to be desiged and they need to fix these issues.
A new “toy” to play with for my 67th birthday. The current energy price made this an option as it is more energy efficient than using an oven and grill. I cook for myself and my wife. We have not found a meal we cannot cook fully from our day to day recipes and actually added more. We never fry food, my first thoughts were that was all “air fryers” were for. It doesn’t fry cat all! The Ninja foodi offers more than that. Today I’m using the dehydrate function for the first time and expect no less than perfect results. Pressure cooking, Steaming, Roasting,Baking,Sauté,Grilling and Air functions have all been good.On the downside the instructions could be more informative and helpful. I got this 7.5L about a month ago, tried the different options and I have to say, I'm a bit disappointed. To start with, you have to re learn how to cook, since the timing is so different and you might use different method to cook the same thing.Like everything else, there's pros and cons, it's easy to operate although very awkward to have to take things in and out of that large pot. I've tried the slow cooker and wasn't happy with it, if I was to put that same casserole dish in the oven, it would've been much better. It's very large and with the extra lid and accesssories a counter and storage space is challenging, to say the least. It is a lot quicker to cook with, so time and money saved there.I guess if I was to buy it again, I would get a smaller one, ... MoreI got this 7.5L about a month ago, tried the different options and I have to say, I'm a bit disappointed. To start with, you have to re learn how to cook, since the timing is so different and you might use different method to cook the same thing.Like everything else, there's pros and cons, it's easy to operate although very awkward to have to take things in and out of that large pot. I bought the largest ninja as you can cook less in the 7.5 litre as well as loads, I often batch cook, so bigger for me is better. It's only a couple of inches taller than the smaller one. Also being able to layer cook in the one pot is very handy for me as it's just 2 of us, so idea for a full meal of meat, veg and spuds. Love the pressure cooker, nothing like the old ones that would hiss and splutter at you to the point you wondered if it was going to blow up. It's a tiny hiss until it comes up to pressure, then silence, apart from the faint sound of liquid bubbling in the pot. First time I used it I thought it was broke because of the lack of hissing. The quick pressure release is easy, but I use the handle of a wooden spoon and go under the handle from the front ... MoreI bought the largest ninja as you can cook less in the 7.5 litre as well as loads, I often batch cook, so bigger for me is better. The quick pressure release is easy, but I use the handle of a wooden spoon and go under the handle from the front to the back, as one time it spat hot water at my hand when trying to open it after part natural release. I have used bake and air crisp also. Both worked well. I'm going to try the yogurt setting tonight as I make my own yogurt. The negative bits, apart from the huge footprint, within 3 DAYS of getting it and 3 USES, using NO metal utensils, ONLY silicon, and used with great care, (it too expensive to treat it any other way) and also using the trivit rack that came with it for layering foods, the non stick on the bowl is scratched in the bottom where the legs sit, so I put it down to the trivet. Do yourself a favour, get an oven safe silicon mat to sit in the bottom. I really don't understand why they don't make these with stainless steel bowls. They are much easier to clean and you don't have to worry about scratching non stick surfaces. Come on Shark, Please make a replacement stainless steel bowl we can buy. I think it's going to be difficult to clean where the top element is as the spaces under the element grid cover is tiny. I also wish the bread Pans and other accessories were in stock more often. I'm not keen on round bread
This product is a must buy. It has made cooking so much easier, enjoyable, quicker and even healthier. All I can say is if you are thinking of buying this do not hesitate. Yes it is a bit bulky. Yes the cable lead is short but if you can move around a few things in your kitchen to fit it in then you will not regret it. After a hard day at work, the cooking time has been drastically reduced. The only thing I haven't done in this multi cooker at this stage is bake, but considering it does everything else, I'm sure that function works just as well so I haven't had had to change the type of food I eat. It's just cooked in a more healthier way and less time. I'm a family of four so the capacity is big enough to feed the family and still have leftovers for the next day to take to Work for lunch or dinner.
