There are already lots of good reviews, so I thought I'd just add another perspective. I'm 53 years old, and I resisted this game for a long time, thinking it was just for kids. It looks like a silly kids' game, after all. But I thoroughly enjoyed it!I normally play games only in single-player mode, and some games just aren't designed with that in mind. This one is. It's a story-driven adventure, complete with a variety of challenges and minigames. I followed along with a strategy guidebook, which helped when I got stumped. Yeah, you may revisit the same place many times, but it's something of a new challenge each time, and I rather enjoyed getting more and more familiar with the situations, better at handling them.My only complaint (besides the cartoonish graphics and juvenile story, which still do go against my grain) is that it's not a replayable game. I don't suppose games of this type ever are. Once you've devoted many hours to making your way through the story, you're finished, and then it's time to buy another game. That's great for the game's publisher, but not necessary so great for the consumer. Personally I favor classic games like backgammon or chess, which are infinitely replayable.Yet, there's something wonderful and compelling about a game which draws you.

Where to start... no more silly XYAB buttons to press, the game is 99% played by stylus which is great! all of Link's actions can be finely controlled with the stylus much better than with the buttons. The storyline is equally good - without giving anything away, you must once again save Zelda, but this time you have a ship too! so you can go island hopping - each island has a least one clever and unique thing to do on it, and most have many. in addition to the regular adventure there is also a "battle mode" where you can play a totally different game against your friends who have a DS Lite. So the game sat in my drawer for a year and a half.Finally after getting sick of hearing everyone rave about it, I decided to give it another chance and boy, am I glad I did, because I quickly fell in love with it. Once you get used to the stylus, it opens up methods of control that were never possible before. The stylus control for the boomerang and motorized bombs are revolutionary and could only work with the stylus.All in all, it is everything I want in a Zelda game & I am glad I decided to give it another go. Great great quality, factory sealed and in perfect condition. I am more than satisfied with this purchase, will totally recommend!About the game, I bought it because this was the game that introduced me to the whole series. I enjoyed it so much the first time I played it that I wanted to finally have a copy of my own. It was a HUGE bummer to find out nintendo shut down all wi-fi and online services for all games on both Wii and DS systems. Other than that, the game is one of my favourites up to date. Has a great story following the events of Wind Waker, and the local multiplayer still works, and it's still as fun as I remembered it.

This game is a really nice addition to the Zelda collection. Technically, it implements the DS touchpad as it should be. It's a bit hard to get used to at first, but when you get used to it, it becomes easier. The rest of the features and buttons are also used in a very subtle yet well-done way. In short, it takes advantage of what the DS itself has to offer and it's really only a few games do this to this extent.As for gameplay, it's a very interesting and good continuation to the Windwaker. It's just the right length for a game meant to be portable and is also fun and entertaining. It brings back memories of older games if you have played them and at the same time it's new. DS-DS, with friends, over WiFi, etc. and then you also get to choose if you want to play with rivals, friends, or just about anyone. As you play you get scores and you can even get small rewards that appear in-game. It works beautifully and is also very stable.If you like the Zelda series and adventure games, this would be something worth trying out.

Once I got adjusted, I began to realize what an amazing game this is.The Phantom Hourglass picks up, literally, right where Wind Waker leaves off. In terms of plot, this Zelda game has as much, if not more than the previous ones. Furthermore, I think the developers realized what a pain it was to sail around all the time in Wind Waker and as well as trying to aim that stupid cannon and have addressed those issues in Phantom Hourglass. In this game, we finally see a new villain to Ganon (I mean, how many times did we have to kill that guy?) Although the combat style is not as great as the other zelda games (where you could z-target and stuff) there still were a lot of cool things you could do with the stylus and the many variety of items. I found the path-draw.

This is an excellent game for all Zelda fans out there and i love how it has the same graphics and (some) characters from the Wind Waker. I absolutly love everything about this game, with one small complaint. The movement gets a bit tyring on your hand and i would have rathered they made it movement with the arrow keys instead of the stylus. Overall, though, it is a spectacular game and i HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend the shop "Tech Supply Center". They did an amazing job, it shipped amazingly quickly (about an hour after i ordered) and got to my house a mere 2 days after ordering. Great shop, and great game overall i am a happy costumer! Excellent job!
