Covid was in full swing and I found myself as home more so I figured if I was going tp be at home then I might as well buy the switch even know I already owned the ps4 and xb1. Figured Id complete my collection. The very first games I purchased were BOTW and Mario Odysey. Those titles are Nintendo specific so I decided I was only going to purchase Nintendo exclusive titles for the switch considering that I an buy the cross platform titles for my other consoles and save some money. I was surprised at the initial cost of the switch games vs other consoles but soon learned that Nintendo does that intentionally but also that the carts retain their value more than disk based consoles.I was very surprised at the game selection that the switch offers. As a game collector I was amazed at their hard copy selection which other brands dont typically release. Switch gameplay does seem a little dated and their graphics arent necessarily up to par but theres more to gaming than just graphics. Th.

The only perk I could think of to fix this minor issue is having all old school games released when the Nintendo Switch was first released, this would allow more games to play that were once played by adults when they were children. I recommend this console to anyone who enjoys Nintendo games, it can bring a night together easily with friends and family. This console is very kid-friendly and also has a huge adult fan base, all games can be enjoyed by any age group and allow individuals to play the games they enjoy together.

I LOVE the ACNH Nintendo Switch. I've had mine since December 2021 and still use it daily today. What I love most about the Switch is obviously it's versatility (I mean it's literally called a Switch for a reason!) I can take this bad boy on a plane, play in bed, on a hike to chill in a hammock with, connect it to any screen or tv, and so much more. The fun isn't only while actively gaming also- I sometimes utilize apps like Hulu or YouTube to stream shows, movies, videos, and calming ambiances for pets and children. I'm so grateful for the Switch. If you don't want to spend the money on the OLED and are tired of the Blue and Red look (even with interchangeable controllers), try the ACNH Nintendo Switch and let me know what you think!

I bought this for my daughter about 2 years ago and she and I both have had a blast playing it. I loved playing Animal Crossing on my GameCube when I was a kid and was so excited to see a new one come out along with this adorable console. I, of course, purchased all the protective gear for the console but one of the joysticks stopped clicking down less than 6 months after getting it and the 2 sides that disconnect (I’m sorry I don’t remember what they’re called right now) have loosened more and more…. And more, over time. 98% of the time we play, we’re using the hand held console; not hooking it up to the TV. It’s sad that the design isn’t more sturdy. I recommend picking up an unpatched Switch not just for the possibility of homebrew (haven't done it myself, but I at least have the option), but for recycling in the future online. One may say, "but there are millions of them, what makes you think they'd be worth more?" Yeah? I really dig the concept and the idea presented with Nintendo's console, but it seems it's own ecosystem essentially holds back what should be a great console.I will say coming from the Vita and PSP line of handhelds, having a non-proprietary SD card is a plus. Initially after hearing about the impending release of the Steam Deck, I decided to give the Switch a try. Now I'm not really excited to continue the game, knowing my experience seems to match my previous experience with it, my mind generally goes to other games especially on desktop. The same goes with Animal Crossing, which now has fully embraced a mobile gacha game style aesthetic and gameplay loop. I'm sure someone who doesn't want to find a game technically challenging will enjoy it, the idea that this game will soon become it's own internal time sink with no way to master or incentive to continue playing outside of a constant devotion doesn't lend to keeping it interesting.Besides these two issues, the Switch also seems stuck in the past, with a lack of bluetooth audio, basic friend and social features, and a games ecosystem fairly closed off, I want to like the switch but it doesn't give much to like in return. Likely I will be returning the device in the coming week.

Best purchase ever!I LOVE my Animal Crossing New Horizon switch so so much!Only thing I don't like is I bought the two year warranty and was informed when I tried to send it in for repairs was that there was only a CHANCE I'd get an Animal Crossing New Horizon Switch back.. That the company would only give what was in stock.So if you're getting a warranty with the hopes of a 'it'll be replaced if anything happens too it!' Drop that fast because best buy doesn't care its limited edition.In sort- worth it for the switch! But wouldn't recommend wasting your money on a warranty. Just send it to a game console repair place instead.
