The joy cons I received are indeed a left-handed neon green and a right-handed neon pink. I haven’t had a chance to play with them yet, so I can’t attest to their durability.One thing of note, however; the green joy con doesn’t feel slick? All my other joy cons have a smooth, silky texture to them. The green joy con is smooth, but it doesn’t have that “smooth as silk” feel to it, if that makes any sense. Mild disappointment there, but it’s still a left-handed green.

These controllers have multiple functions, and one of them is allowing the portable use of a Switch. This versatile functionality is what gives them an edge over third-party products. The gyroscope or physical compatibility with certain games (Switch Sports and Just Dance) just cannot be matched.If those do not apply to you, I would recommend buying a cheaper and more standard shaped controller to avoid paying a premium for unnecessary additional features.

Needed another controller for Switch. This was a good option, relatively cheap. I am glad that you can buy just one. It was exactly what we needed. We already had a red controller so this was a good purchase just in case something happened to the original but also as a third controller for some of the games that do not allow for a wired controller.

Needed another controller for Switch. This was a good option, relatively cheap. I am glad that you can buy just one. It was exactly what we needed. Purchased this Right Hand Neon Red Joy-Con for my daughter to play Just Dance 2021 (can't let a 5 year old use mines, come on lol) and she loves it. The strap is helpful knowing the controller will not go flying if dropped by mistake. Which she hasn't.She really enjoys it and that's what matters most. Controller packaging is in a very small compact box.Though Nintendo has lowered the price by $10.00 for individual controllers, I can't help but to fell $40.00 is still overpriced. Should be more like $25.00 each.
This device works perfectly. I would give it 5 stars if not for the fact I had to buy this because of the drift in the grey versions that came with our system and the kids needed something to use while those get repaired. It will be nice to have four joy-cons to use once the grey come back to us. As far as the general design, it's great for smaller hands, and I can make it work just fine. I generally use the controller dock if playing a one-player game. Great color, but I think Nintendo should have reduced their price on these given all of the drifting problems that they haven't remedied.
I had bought this to replace a joy con my mother in law broke by dropping my Switch. I was really excited to see these for sale for a bit cheaper than other retailers since I have little extra money and the Switch was a gift. But now I see why they were cheaper. The same controller I was having issues with is having different issues. The right joy con doesn't respond to movement well. I'll move my hand and it won't affect the game but sometimes it will?? Another issue is the joy stick on the right one doesn't respond unless I press it first and then use it. Not too happy. I suppose it's what I get.
I play Smash a lot and main Jigglypuff. Everytime I use rest I have to button mash to wake up as soon as possible. After about two weeks of playing casually the triggers on the back of the joycon have started to wiggle. Seems to be made very cheaply. After a month of playing Smash along with Pokemon, and Breath of the Wild there has been no drifting. I think it is a good buy if you use it delicately but if you want to play smash with it then don't buy this and invest in something better.
This is the second controller I've had to buy. My son's Nintendo switch is now running a completely new set of controllers after less than two years of use and he doesn't rage quit. After a while on both controllers we noticed occasional inputs on the joystick when it wasn't being operated and then after a while a constant input to the right. Very annoying when you're trying to not fall off a platform. So I bought replacement standard controllers for multi-player and a Pro controller for daily use hoping it will be tougher.
My son dropped his switch in just the right way that it broke the R button. When I took it apart, I noticed the tiny button had broken clean off the PCB on the inside. There was no way I could fix this. Anyway, This replacement was perfect and I almost forgot that it's not the original.
Replacement official red controller for my son’s Nintendo Switch which was exactly the same as his broken original which I was really pleased with as I wanted to replace same as before on his right hand side controller when new.
