This is my first handheld since the original Game Boy. I really enjoy my Switch Lite. The eShop is chock full of incredible titles and Im very impressed at the game selection. From Doom Eternal and classic Quake to Animal Crossing and Chess, the entire spectrum of genres is covered on Nintendos hardware. The games play great and Im impressed at the performance of 3rd party AAA titles. Doom Eternal doesnt run near as good as on my Xbox One S, but Im impressed how the developers were able to still cram the entire game into this comparatively lightweight hardware. I was pleasantly surprised to see that you can indeed, use the USB-C port to play through a wired headset that way, if you choose in order for me to use my headset to its fullest, I unfortunately have to attach the USB dongle which contains the.

However, now that the Steam Deck is out and the wait times have been cut down significantly, I’d recommend that over this. But what about the difference in price you may ask. To that I say the games are cheaper on Steam and it really adds up on the Switch and before you know it, you’ll very likely have spent more money with the Switch than on the Deck. If you care about physical releases though then avoid the Deck. There are definitely some things I really like about the Switch. For one, I can now play games while lying on my bed. I can play games in the short breaks I take. I can swap out the physical games I own without much effort I wish I could hot swap the SD card as well but as of right now, the OS doesn’t support it. Steam Deck does, however, so it likely is not a technical limitation. As a new owner, you may have to get used to the form factor because the thing is very tiny and.

I have family and friends who have the base Switch model and all really loved it so I decided to dive in myself. I mostly use my Switch Lite as a gaming setup for when Im traveling. Its compact and so fits neatly in bags or pockets and its surprisingly powerful, being able to run some pretty heavyweight titles like Fortnite, Doom, Skyrim, Assassins Creed (many different ones), Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8, Fall Guys, Apex Legends, Mortal Kombat 11, Persona 5, Animal Crossing etc. Not only is the AAA lineup good but the indie roster is really large on the Switch too, tons of great games like Spiritfarer, ... MoreThe Nintendo Switch Lite was ideal for me personally as someone who already owns several Playstation consoles and just needs a handheld for on the go. Now, I would recommend a base model Switch or even an OLED one over the Lite if youre going to be using it as your main setup, but if youre looking for just a handheld to pickup and play on the go, this is the one for you. One thing to note on this model and all other the other Switch models as well is the small built-in storage. You will only start with 32gb on the console which DOES NOT go far. Its likely that you will want to upgrade the storage with a micro sd card which you can buy in various storage sizes on Amazon or other similar sites. Anyway, I highly recommend this model, for adults and children alike, although adults prepare to need to stretch those fingers and thumbs every now and then because trust me when I say this console is small and your hands will get tired without grips.

The nintendo switch lite is a very good console for the price as it is only $199 and can play almost every game the switch can. As someone who loves handheld gaming, this was great. Unlike the actual nintendo switch the lite does not allow you to play on the tv and the resolution and frames per second are lower than the nintendo switch as well. Along with all of that the switch lite plays less games then the switch due to it lacking input because it lacks detachable joycons unlike the actual nintendo switch. It also has drift. Drift is when your joycons are either broken or dirty causing the inputs to not be exact. This is a problem with Nintendo Switch consoles in general. Overall, the nintendo switch lite is an alright console but i'd say just save a little bit of money and buy an xbox series x, ps5 or the original nintendo switch.

Handheld, great. Sound sucks, screen sucks. You are going to buy extra crap to make it work like a normal one. It's too small, and even with a grip, which you will need for sure, there is a leaning curve to angle your hands to play it. Expect early hand pain. The joysticks, let's talk about those. When working at 100 percent, they are garbage. You can fix one cheap, except if you screw up like I didband rip a wire, because everything is cheap plastic and tin foil, so you have fun paying Nintendo over $90 to fix it because they don't care about you trying to fix their shoddy equipment. So really, now I am going to buy an OLED or maybe just the first gen. Because I have already wasted so much money on games and accessories that it would be a waste at this point not to. However, I may never buy anything Nintendo ever again. See, even though the Switch Lite is cheaper to buy up front. YOU WILL have to buy new controllers and it is cheaper in the long term to get new joycons instead of paying Nintendo outside of warranty. A Switch Lite is a ripoff, knockoff version of a Switch, weirdly made by Nintendo. As a long time Nintendo fan, this broke my heart. Worse than the Wii U. It was at least built sturdy. If you like to actually game, this will break on you quick. If you are casual, this will break on you in two years if you are lucky. Total ripoff and scam if you are trying to budget game. I'll say it again, you will SAVE money buy buying a regular Switch and you will appreciate the better options. It's only marginally more expensive for me to buy a new Switch Lite than it would be for me to get it fixed, due to Nintendo's criminal way of fixing things. Realistically, I know it would cost me $180 to fix what I know is wrong. That doesn't include the double shipping costs because of their policy, and doesn't include the one month waiting time, again, per Nintendo's awful program. Also, I mentioned earlier, you can't comfortably hold the thing without buying a grip. You can't do next gen anything. Some things are literally insultingly engineered. Without a separate component, you can't charge and have a flipping controller plugged in at the same time. In conclusion, because these liars on here must be some shills. If you want a Switch, save up, get the OLED, or whatever is best. Still, your joycons will crap out way too fast, but fixing that will be way cheaper and easier. They are plug and play. Look at the assembly. Know for a fact, those joysticks have mad drift, another thing, and will just stop working eventually. Sooner rather than later. It's just disgusting and Nintendo knew all along. I'll leave their underpowered, trash system alone. Leave that to the experts. But even the Wii U didn't become non functional due to normal use. The Switch Lite absolutely will. I promise.

Good if it is not your first switch

this is my first switch. if you are buying any switch for first time consider original because of features. i didnt think it would affect me much since i just wanted something to go and mostly for me. details are not as good on lite and features are missing. i wish i saved for the original. I went to a physical store and bought one of the few they had in stock turquoise only option. have not had any big problems with it so far owned for a week will update if possible. only problem is e-store closing once and camera rotating in one game might be game design but not constant. The system will need accessories to protect it since it appears delicate to me. buy a protective pouch it collects dust and that can cause joycon drift. one huge thing to note if you are going to ... Morethis is my first switch. if you are buying any switch for first time consider original because of features. i didnt think it would affect me much since i just wanted something to go and mostly for me. details are not as good on lite and features are missing. i wish i saved for the original. I feel like this will brake it over time? It makes a noise if you shake it like a loose piece. I bought a controller to play. buttons seem sturdy.

Perfect for adult beginners

I’m really loving this. It’s my first console/handheld ever. I really debating on getting the light over the OLED but reasoned I wanted something that was very light and compact. Because this the only system I’ve ever had I didn’t really see a huge difference in screen quality between the others. I like how this fits in my hands and how relatively compact without sacrificing usability. I love the blue color and the matte feel of the system. I will say the joycon button get discolored quickly no matter how clean and moisturizer free you keep your hands. After about a week of using I eventually but some button covers so I wouldn’t make it worse. Now I’m not a gamer by any stretch of the imagination but I like playing “cozy” game and I might play in 15 minute ... MoreI’m really loving this. It’s my first console/handheld ever. I bought this because I wasn’t that impressed with games on my iPhone and this way I don’t have to constantly keep charging my phone. This is perfect for adults looking to get into video games for the first time without spending over $400.

Portable Nintendo games!

I’m a lil crazy cos I already own an OLED Nintendo switch but I wanted a smaller / more portable version of a switch. Even though the screen isn’t nicer than the OLED model, it is definitely worth considering if 1.) you only plan on playing in handheld mode. 2.) if you’re on a budget and just want to play some Nintendo exclusives. I like the indigo color, and it is very lightweight and easy to carry. Even for my large hands, I can game comfortably for an hour without my hands getting too tired. It has a micro sd card slot, the speakers are loud enough, and the touch screen works fantastic. Slap a thin clear case on it and it’ll feel even better in the hands. My only complaint about the switch lite is that Nintendo makes it kind of cumbersome to own multiple ... MoreI’m a lil crazy cos I already own an OLED Nintendo switch but I wanted a smaller / more portable version of a switch. I can’t play my animal crossing save or Pokémon saves on both switch’s that I own. So when I want to play those games I have to play on my bigger OLED switch. Other than that, I love my switch lite: it comes everywhere with me. I don’t mind if it gets beat up in my backpack.

Possibly the closest thing to a modern PSP

Let me begin by noting that since I already own the V2 Switch, I didn't see the need in purchasing the switch lite.First impressions: - It's somewhat smaller than the V2; - It feels sturdy and actually has a d-pad; - It's lighter but more sturdy than the V2Cons: - It lacks docking capabilities like the V2 or OLED variants; - if the controllers fail, they are difficult to repair because they are integrated into the console rather than being removable joysticks like on the V2 or OLED models. This, in my opinion, is a fantastic method for youngsters in general to get into mobile gaming, take on short or long-term road trips. It's a convenient, pocket-sized, and entertaining solution for both experienced and novice players. nintendo switch lite review

The nintendo switch lite is a very good console for the price as it is only $199 and can play almost every game the switch can. As someone who loves handheld gaming, this was great. I wanted a good handheld console and this delivered. comes in multiple colors and is available in most stores. If you like consoles that you can use on the go if you like that type of gaming experience. Keep in mind the switch is not for everyone. If you are the type of person who likes playing games with high resolution and on the tv then i advise that you get the regular switch. As someone who loves handheld gaming, this was perfect.
