This game has its target audience front and center. It is an easy game that has all the flair and cuteness a new player will enjoy. There is no bad things, just a simple game, not for long-time gamers. And yet, it is enjoyable nonetheless, no matter what the age, and even better, it has great imagination on its courses, spectacle, and bosses.I am glad I got to experience it, but even more happy that young players have a solid, completely polished game featuring Princess Peach! I only hope her previous game gets ported to Switch Online!

I was so excited to play this game the moment I saw the trailer and I'm not disappointed! The overall feeling of the game feels relaxed and laid-back, not exactly challenging (if you're into challenging Mario games), but it's still fun to play. In my opinion, the characters Princess Peach plays are really interesting and I find it neat that each character has a unique skill and the plot of each play has fun, immersive storylines. In addition, the character designs, the many designs of Princess Peach's dresses, and Detective Peach's plays are my personal favorites. The only complaint that I have about this game is that I wish certain storylines would last longer with more objectives to fulfill because some of these characters are limited with what they can do and it ... MoreI was so excited to play this game the moment I saw the trailer and I'm not disappointed! Short, simple, and sweet. Pretty easy game but it's targeted towards children so that's understandable. All in all I had a lot of fun with the game; the only time I was bored was when I was doing the detective peach levels. The levels for the most part had nice variety and the set pieces were nice to look at. The boss fights were very good too. After you beat the game you unlock boss challenges which are pretty fun but you also unlock the challenge where you have to find the hidden ninjas in every level. That specific challenge was pretty dull considering most of the ninjas are extremely easy to find. Peach has nice dresses she can unlock to wear throughout the theater and some of the levels. The game itself isn't bad. It has more cryptic elements than I gave it credit for, and has a degree of challenge that I was not expecting. I hope to see more games starring Princess Peach. However, I was hoping to get the acrylic stand that was supposed to be a preorder bonus, even taking my lunch break early to get to Best Buy right when they opened, only to be told when I picked it up that my order for the acrylic stand was canceled. They never bothered to tell me beforehand. I don't know if my local Best Buy even got any in to begin with.I would like clarification on what they mean by first-come-first-served for preorder bonuses, so I can be guaranteed to get one in the future. Is it when you order the game, or when you pick it up? Because I was inclined to ... MoreThe game itself isn't bad. Overall this is a fun game. Colorful and delightful characters and the stage play scenery and theming is wonderful. Difficulty wise, even for a child it might be too easy. There are some optional "rehearsal" stages that give a modicum of challenge, but nothing I've encountered so far approaches the difficulty of the optional content in other Nintendo games like Super Mario Wonder or Kirby and the Forgotten Lands. If you need a challenge, you can pass, but if the style appeals to you, or you have a very young child you want to introduce to gaming for the first time, I think this is worth your time.
Fun game and nice addition to the Mario characters Franchise series. If you played Luigi's Mansion or Captain Toad's Treasure Tracker then you'll definitely have a fun time with this game to. Pretty much a 2.5D game where instead of the iconic plumber or his brother you play as his love and usually kidnapped girlfriend Princess Peach. This time though instead of being a kidnapped victim or side character she's the main protagonist finally after all this time. Overall a great game that is going to give fans a ton of enjoyment and hopefully opens up some possible new game titles for our beloved Princess Peach.
I preordered this game which came with the acrylic stand, and it arrived right on the release date, which is great! The game card was in perfect condition when it arrived, so thank you Best Buy.The game itself was phenomenal. The gameplay was varied, ranging from combat and stealth to sleuthing to baking and figure skating. What I enjoyed most about this game was playing as the star Princess Peach, who gets to be a powerful and important hero who is not afraid to stand up to evil. It makes me so happy playing and kicking butt as her, so this is a must-play for Peach fans. Plus she looks good in all of her outfits.Additionally, this game completes my Princess Peach trilogy on Switch, which also consists of Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope and Super Mario Bros. ... MoreI preordered this game which came with the acrylic stand, and it arrived right on the release date, which is great! This is the first time in years we got a game that focuses on Peach which is great, but this game lacks a lot of value. The game itself is fine at best. This game is, for the most part, a 2.5D sidescroller which is visually appealing. There are collectibles throughout each stage, but if you miss one you cannot go back to get it and must replay the entire level all over again if you want to 100% each stage. This game should realistically be $50 at most for what you get. I would say that overall it is a ok platformer from Nintendo. This game seems good for kids, but you will not enjoy it too much if you are older.
Only completed 3 sets (levels/worlds) so far but our girls 5 and 10 are having fun with it and enjoying it so far! As a person who grew up with Nintendo I’m so glad to see a female lead Mario style game - finally!! Can’t attest to the remainder of the game but the beginning has been cute, fun and challenging for the 5yr old and semi-challenging for the 10yr old. Rated 10 but so far it has had only swords and bubble blasters for bad guy weapons so seems fairly appropriate for the 5yr old - again we are only in the beginning so that is just what we are seeing so far. Reminds us of Yoshi’s crafted world as far as knocking out bad guys, earning coins and collecting a set amount of gems per level (sometimes visible, sometimes hidden with some logic required to get to ... MoreOnly completed 3 sets (levels/worlds) so far but our girls 5 and 10 are having fun with it and enjoying it so far! As you progress in the game Peach unlocks new abilities and character looks while helping to rescue different acting theater sets from villains - one set peach might be a swordswoman saving the castle, the next she’s a cowgirl saving a town, etc.
I’m 30 and originally bought this for my almost 6 year old…she found it a little too challenging with too much dialogue (she’s a beginner reader). Wow! It’s so fun. She can easily play Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, Yoshi’s Crafted World, etc if that helps with the difficulty level. I think it’s the right kind of challenging without being too easy or frustrating. I’ve had to replay some of the “plays” 3 times over to get all of the sparkles and ribbons. She loves to watch me play, and we’ve been having lots of fun changing up Peach’s wardrobe. The graphics are great, gameplay is fun, although the controls are sometimes not obvious. The “scary” parts aren’t truly scary, but they do have that anticipation and “oh no!” quality to them. My only real complaint is that the load screens can be laggy, but genuinely, it does not bother me. I think as my daughter gets older, she will age into this game. For now, it’s super fun for me and I’m really enjoying this change of pace as I just finished Tears of the Kingdom. :) Great game, happy with the purchase and would recommend to anyone who enjoys the Mario franchise, puzzle games, or wants a game the family can enjoy.
