Nirvana - Nevermind (Vinyl)
LP, 180g DGC (2022) EU Few records changed the world. Nirvana's Nevermind is one of them. Released in September 1991, the well-produced yet emotionally raw album catapulted grunge into the mainstream and forever altered the popular musical landscape, turning Nirvana into household names and singer Kurt Cobain into the reluctant spokesperson of his generation. By year's end, Seattle-based music, fashion, and attitude consumed popular consciousness. Nevermind estored the gritty passion, rebellious mentality, and cathartic power long missing from mainstream rock. Call it the mighty sword that in one swoop fell the excess, plasticity, and emptiness of 80s music. The record's impact is also be measured by the success of its singles. Named by Rolling Stone as the No. 9 Best Song of All Time, the anthemic "Smells Like Teen Spirit" became an institution on radio stations and MTV. Subsequent singles "Come As You Are," "Lithium," and "In Bloom" also testified to the genius of the soft-loud arrangements and whip-smart commentary on Nevermind, which at its core was a blockbuster pop album in punk clothing.

The 90’s had barely begun. 1991 was coming to an end and Nirvana released this album in September. The videos were all over MTV, the songs were all over the radio. Nirvana had their breakthrough and Kurt Cobain mesmerized the youth of that generation. It was a different time. A time when things were much simpler. Listening to this masterpiece of an album brings me back to this time and helps me to remember how amazing the 90’s were and more importantly, how great Nirvana was. Buy this album, get a Jolt-Cola, read Thrasher, play with your Pogs, and jam the F out!

I'm always a bit skeptical when buying albums, especially in the grading process. This truly is new with outstanding mastering. Shot with a zero stat and a light clothing, I played it with absolutely no his or pops. Sound quality was right up there with the best of my LP's. I believe this is one of Nirvana all time best, hands down.

An amazing record to own. This remaster brings out the best from the original analog recordings. Turn it up and jam out to this classic, genre defining album.

Part of the Back to Black series. The sound quality is superb, very little record noise, and the music is rich and vibrant. The download is in MP3 320kbps format. Would recommend adding this release of a classic to your collection.
Great album! Glad I bought it. Brings back a lot of memories.
The Pallas pressing of Nirvanas self-titled album is one of the best sounding presses out there and at a fraction of the cost the others, which makes this the most logical choice for wallet watchers. Great album. Great sound. Great price.
I've purchased a lot of high-end vinyl over the years and I'm skeptical of those claiming to have a superior product. So, to that end, I researched Pallas and determined they'd produce a high-quality pressing. Now, in this particular Nirvana Nevermind case, I don't know what they used as data input (I suspect a big .wav file) and I see no evidence they were handed the master tape and/and tried to do a 1/2 speed master, etc. Nevermind was always kind of a lo-fi outing and there's no evidence anyone in the audio chain had Steely Dan pretentions, nor any evidence of a digital front-end recording. So, in terms of "new found" information on the vinyl, I don't think you'll hear anything "new." That said, this is the quietest vinyl I've yet heard on my system...absolutely ... MoreI've purchased a lot of high-end vinyl over the years and I'm skeptical of those claiming to have a superior product. In = Out. A quality package.
Great album from these pioneers of grunge. Well recorded, flawless sound at a great price.
please please please fix the real weight of vinyls this is a huge problem on customs when you ship it and it's a gift from people from outside of the US is not possible that one single vinyl weights 2 pounds when is barely reach the 1.05LB with all the package
