Nitecore 500 Lumen Grey

One of the best flashlights I've had. Most of the flashlights that I have are the cheap ones that are not too bright and pretty large. So this time, I decided to buy a more expensive one, and man does this just blow all of them out of the water. This utterly smokes any flashlight I currently have and completely smashes my phone's light in brightness, durations and beam throw. I mean, on turbo mode, you can see stuff far in the distance, something my phone could not do. The best part is the size I've thrown it on my keychain, and I barely notice it there until I'm in a bit of a bad situation them boom instantly daytime. Everything is thought out, such as if I'm in a dark room and I want to turn on the torch holding down the power button makes it go straight to ultra-low so you don't completely flashbang the entire room, or if you need instant turbo holding down the top button and boom, or just pressing the power button put you on whatever setting you were on previously. The one thing that could be added is a strobe setting, so if you need to stun anyone, you have the option, maybe in a future version, but overall well worth the money. You don't know you want it till you have it.

Excellent small form factor key chain light

I already owned 3 of these lights for almost 1 year. I got this one for my daughter's car key chain. Its an excellent light that is light weight and very bright. It's full power of 500 lumen is more than enough for the average user. Best points rechargeable and light weight for a reasonable price make it an excellent choice. I highly recommend this light for everyday use.

Gotta be honest 50/50 so far

I purchased (2). First off, they are very technical. In other words, to me, complicated. Lots of modes, and functions, and levels, and locks and buttons. Lots of things to remember especially in any stressful (dark) scenario. Especially for something barely bigger than a CR123. One, I sorted out fine....just utilize about 1/3 of the options, whistles, and bells. The other they are sending me a replacement. I never could get it to turn on at all unless it was plugged in no matter how long I tried charging it. We'll see how the replacement does before I decide. Check back....

Lives on a chain around my neck

The only times I don't have this flashlight on me are when I take a shower or go for a workout with a chest monitor. Otherwise it lives on a chain around my neck 24/7. I use it a dozen times a day at least, and when I have to use the bathroom at night in a strange hotel room it's a toe-saver. My wife and kids were so blown away by it that they wanted their own, so that made birthday shopping super-easy. The only problem I've had with it is that the cover came off the display, but that doesn't seem to affect it at all. I've worn it on backpacking trips in 95-degree weather when it was bathed in sweat for hours at a time, and no issues whatsoever. My wife bought a special necklace for hers and dolled it up like jewelry. My daughter is an athletic trainer, and she likes the one-lumen low setting for checking irises after a suspected concussion.

Mighty small

Great little light. Super bright, long run time. Nice having a screen that show the status of the charge based on the brightness level you’re using. Also, like the lock out feature. Also have the Fenix. Theirs is larger, no screen so don’t know what the remaining time on the battery is. Also, has a red light feature which I’m not sure why they included on this key chain light. Would’ve been better just have 2 regular led which would’ve made the light brighter.

Nitecore's New Pocket Marvel—Not Just A Good Torch

The new Nitecore Tini 2 500 Lumen rechargeable keychain flashlight is a sophisticated aggrandisement of the initial pocket-rocket the Nitecore Tini (now discontinued). The upgrade of maximum brightness from 380 to 500 lumens is achieved by doubling the number of LEDs at the front end. Charging is now achieved via usb-c, not micro-usb, and there is a slightly more complex procedure to double-lock the torch against accidental pocket illumination. Whereas the Tini required that you press the on switch for 2 seconds before it lit up, the new method is a combination of short press followed by long press to activate any of the four 'normal' light intensity levels—although the 500 lumens of Turbo intensity are available by holding down the Mode button. No. A fantastic torch!

Small and efficient!

I am really enjoying this tiny but mighty keychain flashlight as it compliments my Tiki LE- red/blue. The single most useful feature is the display that provides valuable information to the battery condition, remaining runtime and brightness level. The max 500 lumen is enormously impressive for such a light of its small form factor. Although to me the light has a yellowish tinge I find it to be powerful and not really a deal breaker. The key clasp is beneficial as I can secure it in either my sling or my EDC pouch, but I would like the option of a pocket clip as well which will afford more versatility.

TINI2/purchase/review

Purchase process,: Excellent, received product as describes with no surprises except how small it is, and that is a good thing. Does not gobble up my key ring space.Fantastic key ring light. The only suggestion would be to make the buttons a little more resistant to push, and if possible, in some way usable with light gloves. I know that's a tall order and a feature reserved for larger light.I recommend this light.

Time Remaining Feature

This is a tiny flashlight. It is also incredibly light. It weighs almost nothing. It puts out quite a bit of light for how tiny it is. The USB-C charging works well and you can have the light on while it's charging which is quite useful. The lower modes, 1-200 lumens, will all stay on as long as the battery lasts but the 500 lumen mode requires holding the button the whole time. If you have the light on already and push the mode button down it will go to 500 lumens and when you release it will go back to the previous mode that was on.So this time remaining feature I mentioned. It works great. This would be a wonderful light on your keychain, but also one kept in an emergency place or bug out bag. It works great. This would be a wonderful light on your keychain, but also one kept in an emergency place or bug out bag. You don't need to wonder how long you will have light at any setting. When you turn on the light the OLED screen tells you the brightness and then how long, hours and minutes, that the light will stay on before turning off to conserve power. Therefore you can see that 200 lumens will give you 40 minutes but that 15 lumens will give you 6 hours. One lumen up to 60 hours. It always displays hours and minutes. You will never have to guess how long you will have light and of course using a higher brightness means the lower brightness will lose time also. It's very useful. This flashlight will survive some splashing but nothing more than that. The two buttons make using it pretty easy. I like it and I guess that's all I have to say.

Tiny size, mega performance!

Great EDC. To me, it's a big bonus with the type of key clasp it comes with because it can be put on the collar of my sweater/jacket without falling off. The 1lm setting is perfect when navigating through a bunch of sleeping Great Danes without too much light to wake my wife up when I go to bed :) The Turbo mode is really bright, but for me, the high setting with a long duration is the important one. Short Turbo bursts are just for boasting/marketing on any flashlight IMO - I like to show that to my friends tho :)
