I have red hair and very fair, sensitive skin. I have spent hundreds of dollars trying different sunscreens, but until now I had never found one that I would commit to using daily. Mineral sunscreens look terrible on my face, and other chemical sunscreens that I tried were too greasy, would irritate my skin or would run into my eyes and burn when I sweat. This sunscreen is thick and white but spreads easily and blends well. The feel on my skin is nice, and once I put it on, I don't even realize I am wearing it. It doesn't run into my eyes and burn when I sweat. I am so happy to finally have found a sunscreen that I will use, as I need to, every day.

I bought this sunscreen and absolutely love it! I'm POC and this doesn't leave a white cast and doesn't pill. A little goes a very long way - I only need a tiny dollop (about the size of a five pence coin) to cover my entire face and neck, and I suspect that those having issues with a white cast are putting on too much. It's very soothing and also firms up my skin just the tiniest bit. Highly waterproof - even after washing my face, I don't burn in the sun.

Do not buy this sunscreen!! We had 14 children in the swimming pool for the same amount of time.3 kids had forgotten to put on sunscreen, 2 kids had used the Nivea sunscreen, 3 used Moo Goo, 5 used pharmacy brand (one was my son), 1 used Blue Gecko (?).The 3 kids w/o sunscreen 1 of them only very slightly burnt on the shoulders and slight pink nose, the other 2 were fine. The 5 that used the pharmacy brand had no sunburn. The 3 that used Moo Goo nothing either. The 1 that used blue gecko also nothing. The 2 that used Nivea (1 my daughter, the other my daughters friend) severely burnt, but only where the sunscreen was applied). My friends daughters face swelled up and later blistered. Iβm a Nivea product user and have no issues with other products. But I would never use their sunscreen again. After now much research, this has occurred to many using the sunscreen and Nivea is clearly not listening to their consumers, so using it is at your own risk as they clearly will not remove it from the shelves. Many have reported the issue to only be told its βuserβ fault. In the 14 children, 13 had fair skin and one had olive skin, the proof was obvious there is a huge issue with the Nivea sunscreen.

I bought one bottle of Nivea and one of Australian Gold - no contest. Australian Gold withstood May in the Canaries perfectly. Sorry to say that Nivea seems to have brought me out in a rash from top to toe on the two occasions Ive used it. Very disappointed (and very uncomfortable - itching like mad). Id be interested to see if other users have had similar experiences.
Firstly let me say that the product did protect me from the sun, the smell was very pleasant and my skin felt good. On the downside it resembled curdled yoghurt which was a little off putting. My friends had similar products none of which 'curdled' in the heat.It does say on the bottle to avoid contact with textiles which really is impossible if you want to get a good covering. This meant that all three swimsuits that I had became stained an unpleasant shade of yellow. The stain remains even after washing unfortunately.
This sunscreen is great as it sits well under makeup and has a nice finish on the skin, and doesn't break me out. However, it does leave a bit of a whitecast (but goes away after a few minutes) and has a subtle scent which some may not like. I do find that my skin stays slightly sticky through the day but it is tolerable.
Nope, just no. This is a total flop of a sunscreen. I wear a factor 50 everyday and I'm used to the different types of lotions but this is so bad. I put it on and off the bat it wouldn't rub in, so even as a very pale person there is still a whitecast. Then after about 5 mins it starts to pill. I tried washing it off and trying again thinking it may have been something else on my skin causing the problem - nope! Same thing. I'm actually on holiday writing this because I don't want anyone to waste their money. The only reason it is coral safe is because noone will be buying it to cause an issue. Avoid at all coats.
These were amazing value but I think theyβve been sat in a warehouse a long while. The consistency didnβt look quite right, not smooth and it just wonβt fully rub in, which I know higher factors are known for that but this really sat on the skin. On the plus side, the protection was still working so when I had this on I didnβt get burned, good in water too
Nivea spf 50 is a good sunscreen. Some people have reported being sunburnt or had allergic reactions. This could be because the cream was old BEFORE being used. I wished it was compulsory for all cosmetic companies to put a sell by date.I have an app which can tell the date when your product was manufactured. One sunscreen (quite an expensive one) was 6 years old! Some people say that as long as they have not been opened they are fine. However, heat can alter the chemicals they contain.
As a wearer of contact lenses, this is one of the few sun lotions I have found that doesn't leech into my eyes. Very effective sun block for my fair skin, especially the nose and face. Highly recommended.
