Nixon - Blue & Brown Sentry Leather Watch

Such a beautiful watch. I have several Nixon watches myself so I know how great their quality is. I had a watch custom made for my boyfriend's birthday and he absolutely LOVED it. I had originally planned to order a watch already available on the site so I could have it engraved, but when I realized you could custom design one, I was super happy. My boyfriend loves the color blue so I wanted to design a watch where I could incorporate a blue second hand into the piece. It turned out perfectly with an all gray face and gunmetal case and band. I was also happy I could engrave a special message on the back for him. He thought it was very special. My order also arrived really quickly which made me very happy! Thank you Nixon for a gorgeous watch. You always do a great job!

Black/Gold: Unfortunate Color Choice

I bought the Matte Black / Gold version after having the brown/blue Sentry Leather for approx. 8 years. While the watch itself still looks great visually, unfortunately the quality of the leather and the watch body went to something more plastic-y than I was expecting. Additionally, while the promotional picture looked great, in reality having black watchhands on a black watchface makes telling the time almost impossible in most lightings. I had to return it immediately and order the custom version, just with the gold hands so it was legible

Custom Wedding Watch

I wanted to get a watch specifically for my wedding, and I wanted to be able to build something that tied in with my suit and other accessories, and the Sentry options gave me exactly what I needed. I have another preconfigured version of the watch and always like it, that’s why I opted for this as a custom. When it came it, it came out way better than expected, and I had high expectations. As always with Nixon, a great looking watch at a very attainable price. Been a customer for a while now and will certainly continue to be one.

Custom White & Black Sentry

Unique and head turning design. Did not come with the Instruction Manual which I like for collectable value, perhaps because it was a custom order...otherwise happy with the watch. Personal Inscription seems to be high quality, so far. No debris or dust is noticed underneath the Crystal. Nixon seems to be good about this. Certainly, a decent watch. The Miyota MVMT in the Time Teller seems to be tighter in comparison to Sentry, however? Overall, a fun, fashionable watch that is worthy of multiple purchases of different designs.I think the Ruby Red should be offered as a standard face color.

Custom watch arrived broken!

This watch looks great and feels great. However, when I took it out of the box it arrived in and went to set the time, I noticed the minute hand was broken. It would either move freely, tilting downwards like a south-oriented compass, or get stuck on the raised hour markers. Disappointed as I bought this watch to wear for my wedding. I am in contact with customer support and they are doing everything they can to remedy this situation. However, this being my first Nixon watch (and custom made too) I am not offering a bode of confidence. Hopefully the repairs can be made in time and I will happily change my review score.

Custom white face sentry

I love that I was able to customize the watch from every detail. He absolutely loved it. It was something I didn't see on the website which makes it that much more special. It was easy to do and allowed me to go back and modify without changing other selected items. My ONLY "thing" is I wish the options for watch size wear bigger. I think with the customs, the biggest is 42mm. He's a 47-52 guy so it's a little odd for him but he loves it.

EXTREMELY Disappointed - Will never purchase again!

I would leave 0 stars if it were possible due to the poor customer service Nixon provides and the lack of value they place on loyal customers. I bought a Sentry Leather watch as a gift for my father a few years ago, and he has loved it. Unfortunately shortly after sending the watch in for a band repair this year where they said it needed a battery service as well the watch quit keeping accurate time even though it worked fine before sending for the band repair. When I tried to have the movement fixed I was told the watch could not be fixed and since it was no longer offered was not able to be replaced. This was disappointing but I was ok with it because they gave me $100 off a replacement watch from the site. When I expressed to customer care my concern that the only way for me to truly replace the watch my father loved was to make it custom, their response was to deny me any assistance and suggest I wait for the next release even though that would leave him without his watch indefinitely. I am truly disappointed that a this company has such poor customer service as to not allow a loyal customer to replace a gift for their father with something he would actually enjoy wearing. It's sad that a brand I had confidence in and planned to stay loyal to cared so little. Due to this I can no longer confidently recommend this brand to anyone who expects real customer service rather than policy parroted to them after the fact.

The packaging was nice and classy as well.What I can’t say enough good things to about is this company itself. They are amazing, so kind, and so helpful. My special, sentimental order was first lost in the mail. I reached out to their customer service and that same night they made me a new watch, engraved it, and shipped it out all within 24 hours to make sure it made it before my wedding day. What was the most stressful scenario during the last week of wedding planning, became just a hiccup due to this company. Poor Quality Control - Zero stars

Ordered a custom built watch for around $200 only to have it arrive with a hair or lint strand between the needles. This was supposed to be a wedding present to my fiancé with an engraving on the back that won't make it to be worn on our actual wedding day because it had to be shipped back out and returned for "repair" not because it's faulty but due to poor workmanship. It was delivered 2 weeks before the wedding but my fiancé refuses to wear it because it can be seen with the naked eye. This is absolutely unacceptable and such a disappointment on how this passed quality control. Can't even get a refund on custom builds either due to policy. We both own several nixon watches but we probably won't buy another Nixon again...

Quality and style for a lifetime

Once again, I am impressed with the quality you get from Nixon. We got this watch for my son's 8th-grade graduation, and he was more than impressed. The blue face of the watch is crisp, and the leather band is thick and durable. I have always appreciated the ability to set the day of the week in both English and Spanish. The little details that Nixon always adds make this a fantastic watch. This is the kind of watch you can use for a lifetime, from getting your first real job to taking your kids to Juanitas Taco Shop for Chili Relleno burritos. While this may not be for everyone, this watch is made to tell time not check your e-mail.
