These are my first Noctua fans. I bought 2 of these bad boys to replace my awful intake fans leftover from a cheap case I bought almost a decade ago. My new GPU (VEGA 64) was sucking all the cool air causing my system to overheat. I had to keep my side panel off to keep my system cool until these fans arrived.To my surprise, these fans are not only far quieter but also keep my system COOLER than when I had the side panel off!!! I must say, Noctua has won me over, I now see why everyone loves them so much! The packaging is also fantastic, very minimal plastic and completely recyclable! It also looks beautiful and feels premium.

I bought two of these recently (the second was a 120 mm PWM of the same model for the rear case fan) and i couldn't be happier with the results. I have installed this 140mm in the front at the top blowing directly into the AIO cooler and I have seen a reduction in temps not only in my CPU (5 degrees C, I know it's not much, but the CPU now hovers at 53C on full load) but also my Asus 1660 super GC (by 5-10 degrees C depending on the game).The fans are very quiet and move a serious amount of air and less noisy than the Be Quiet fan I had previously installed.Well worth paying the extra dollars for.

Well, my ASRock Z370 board at first did not play nice with this fan for some reason. It was loud and obnoxious at first. But, after simply entering the UEFI and adjusting the preset fan curve, the fan became virtually silent. Look, the advantage of this fan is not that it moves a lot more air at high speeds; any fan can do that. The advantage of this fan is that it moves more air at lower speeds, and vastly more silently, while still maintaining a high-speed mode when it is necessary. With that in mind, just like my experience, this fan may need some adjustment in the BIOS fan controller to bring out its real potential. But, with that minor adjustment, you are golden, as this fan is truly silent under many conditions.

Didn't take an egg off as it is not the fault of the fan that my CPU temps are up. I am running old equipment as I cannot afford to upgrade my setup atm. Was hoping the NF-A14 iPPC-3000 was overkill and my temps wouldn't change much. When running below 1500 rpms, the NF-A14 iPPC-3000 would still keep the CPU at 38-42c under regular load. The NF-P14s redux-1500 is around 39-47c under normal conditions. Not really a big difference. Bought a NF-A14 iPPC-2000 as an intake fan so I may try switching places to see if there is any difference in temps. The NF-A14 iPPC-3000 seems louder as a case fan than when I had it mounted on my radiator. I bought these fans whilst they were on special for $22. At that price they're excellent. Quiet for the amount of air moved, and I'm sure they'll last many years given Noctua's quality. That being said, they are not PWM fans and don't have all the features and accessories typical for Noctua, so at full price they are not the best value. Especially since a 1500rpm PWM version of the same fan is the same price,

No. But the engineering on these makes the sound profile very acceptable to the ear; it's only a low barely audible whoosh that quickly becomes background. I'm running these on a case adapter at full 12 V in a noise dampened case. But even pulling the side panel off they are not at all what I'd consider noisy. Not even close. I also have the Noctua NF-A14 PWM 140mm's and those at full 1500 rpm are definitely audible. If I run the NF A_14's on a static (non - PWM) power signal like molex, then I end up using the low noise adapter which reduces the rpm. Connected to case I'd run them on 7 V, which also reduces rpm. I have them in my case front as intakes cooling 3 stacked WD Black HDD's in an editing rig, and they keep drive temps in the low 30's , even when under constant use. Easily my new favorite fan.
I have Noctua PWM CPU coolers, case fans and, a chipset cooling fan for my main and test computers. All are whisper quiet and reliable. I was a bit wary of the REDUX range, but I needn't have worried as it's the usual superb quality and, the absence of anti-vibration mounts that I would have received with the full package, don't appear to have made a difference. I shall be buying two 140mm Noctua 140mm REDUX fans in the near future.

So far I've tried 'quiet' fans from several makers, only to be disappointed by clicks, whines or excessive blade noise, often at quite low speeds. These are very different, even screwed directly to my chassis with no anti vibration measures at all they are very, very quiet and seem to shift a decent amount of air. As a Redux version they come with just 4 mounting screws and the fan in the (very nice) packaging while the cables are cleanly wrapped and a good length although the wrap does not extend to the full length it would be easy to hide the short unbraided part close to the fan frame. . The sound is more of a broadband whoosh, as opposed to a tonal whine or buzz. For best results with these fans, you should be dialing in a manual fan curve, or at the very least using a silent profile. At 1500 PRM, these fans are NOT silent, though they do move a lot of air. I've used these fans as both exhaust and for intakes in a restrictive case. They do really well in these applications. They don't buzz when in close contact with restrictive grills or baffles, and they do have a decent amount of static pressure.
