Not sure about the other reviews but this is a good phone. No reboots, rock solid. 5GHz wifi not an issue. Close to vanilla android which to me is so much better than when manufacturers do a re-skin. No lag. Pretty good camera. Plenty of storage. Nothing to dislike at this price point or even for a few hundred more.

This should be a warning is caps that this phone does not support 5GHzJBHiFi Website suggest WiFi Yes, so telling half the truth is not telling the whole truth!First phone I bought in the past 5 years (even for this price range) that doesnt support 5GHzSo if you live/work in a place that only has 5GHz WiFi, in plain English it means WiFi is not supported, and no that is not a cutting edge technology like mobile 5G

I bought 2 of these phones, 1 week ago. One for my daughter and one for myself. We thought there was a problem with the camera apps; as when you went into the camera app, it would say, "camera app has stopped working." Well... it was an easy fix. Go to Google Play, find the update for your camera on your phone through Google Play, if there is an option that (within the update) that says OPEN, click on that first, and if the app is compatible, with your phone, your camera app will open, from there. Now go back to Google Play, and click on the update for your camera, and that "glitch" is all fixed. My daughter's phone, and mine have been great, ever since. Totally awesome phone. Sound/volume great. Everything, great!! <3

Bought it about 20 days ago.Cons: 1.Hang its frquently when use camera & message apps,2.auto restart frequently when use Uber app, it sometimes stuck at browsing time & nothing works for 20-30 seconds,3. microphone volume is very low & listener can't listen my voice when call on social apps like meesenger, whatsapp etc,4. lack of some essential functions like caller id, recording, guestures like smart wakeup5. face unlock is works less than 10% times & finger unlock works less than 20% times which are irritatingpros: Camera quality is good but hang it
I bought this phone 4 months ago. Over time it has become much slower and started frequently freezing. I don't have many apps or anything which uses much data. I went in to Officeworks to ask if I could exchange for a working phone but they said it would have to be taken off for testing which would take 3 weeks. Not very helpful because I would have to buy a new phone before I find out if they will replace the original.
Great device for the price. Powered by entry level Snapdragon 215 processor and runs on Android GO. So speed of the phone is acceptable. Excellent battery life.Screen quality and brightness is okay. However, Auto brightness feature is not working often. Hope it can be fixed by software update. Dual SIM functionality is good. 4G signal strength is good. Big phone but not heavy.
There's a manual to download from the Nokia website. The phone has Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, a USB C port, NFC, FM Radio, rear Fingerprint Sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, Gyroscope, Proximity sensor, Quad 48 megapixel camera (Main + Depth + Ultrawide + Macro). There's no built-in ability to read QR or bar codes, but you can use Google Lens to do this. The battery is non-removable. There's no sign yet of the promised upgrade to Android 11.In the box, there's a very basic "Get Started" leaflet. It doesn't explain very well how to open the tray to insert SIM card/s and memory card. Make sure the phone is switched off, then insert the opener in the hole in the tray and gently push. There's a click and the tray pops open.A note about memory cards: the Nokia will format a newly-inserted memory card to it's own specs. If you continue, you'll lose any data on that card. I had 120 gb of music on my memory card – so to avoid losing it all, I set up a brand new card in the Nokia, switched the phone off, removed the card and copied all the music from the 'old' card to the new one (took several hours!). Put the new card in the Nokia, which accepted it OK. Advantage is that I now have a full backup of my music. My last phone had a fingerprint sensor on the front of the phone. One problem I had with the Nokia 5.4 was locating the fingerprint sensor on the back. I bought a phone case and this solved the problem as it has an easily-located raised area around the sensor. On the left of the phone, there's a button to invoke the Google Assistant. I had a problem with that, as I often triggered it when I used the On/Off switch directly opposite. I switched the button off in Settings/Gestures, but can instead tap an icon, or long press on the Home button. The Assistant works quite well, and I don't have to say that silly “OK, Google” which always tended to put me off. Also, there are all sorts of options in Settings for configuring the Assistant, and there are apps on Play Store listing all the commands available.Screenshots are easy – long press the On/Off button and you get a small panel with 'Power Off', 'Restart' and 'Screenshot'. Just tap this and the screenshot is saved. My last phone was low-memory and slow. If I wanted to try out a new app, I usually had to uninstall another to make space – on the Nokia 5.4 I have installed all the apps I need, and they run nice and fast.
Fast, high quality phone with all the basic feature that get the job done. There is only one app that Nokia installs which can be used for help and to post on forums otherwise it is plain Android. Also comes with a pre-applied screen protector, clear phone case, charger, earphones. Battery lasts 3-5 days quite easily for me. My biggest complaint is the screen resolution is low and the camera doesn't take the best pictures in the world however still great for the price.
Unextraordinary. Can be quite slow to respond, even when bringing up a contact when texting! (previous phone was an Oppo and much more quick.). Disappointed to learn this isn't 5G compatible (I had no idea that was a thing to ask about! My old, cheap Oppo was). Screen shot buttons are on the same side of the phone, marking it very awkward to operate. Camera unextraordinary, access to app settings is downright moronic. Will be going back to Oppo next time- much cheaper option, yet much better.
DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE! I got this phone because I had fond memories of the pre-smart phone Nokias, they were sturdy and reliable. How far they have fallen. This phone has so many glitches and delays, it is so laggy I have felt like smashing it many times. Sometimes it just switches off at random moments. There are so many great photo opportunities I've missed because it sometimes takes half a minute just for the camera to turn on. Do yourself a favour, avoid!
