Fits my scull well, easy to use, better than Schubert c3pro. Lighter noise, not bulder like Schubert. Good ventilation, easy fit speakers. All good.

All of the advertised functions of this helmet seem to work well. I enjoy knowing that the helmet has European certification for safety with the chin bar in a down/engaged position, but also with it in the full raised position. I have driven most of my highway miles with the chin bar raised, with noise being about the same as I perceive in the other position. The built in sunshade is a little too dark for my preference. I found the fitting guides not to work well for me. The guides suggested I buy an XL, but I had to return this for XXL. With this larger size I had no hotspots on a recent 5 day ride. The ratcheting chinstrap works really well and seems an improvement over the older double "D" rings. Main negative is the sizing chart seeming to run too small. My 5th go round with a Nolan modular. I've found none better and I've tried all of the expensive ('cept Arai) brands and most of the cheap ones.
Bought this helmet in 2023. I did the Dempster highway last year (2,000km of gravel). Since that trip, the sun visor no longer goes up by itself, even after deep cleaning; I have to do it manually, so when stationary. This is not a helmet designed for off-roading based on my experience with the Nolan N100-5 Plus. Also, the visor locking system never stayed in place. At this price, I will choose another company for my next helmet
My take on this helmet, excellent for my needs however you need to go one size up, normally I’m large and good thing I went to X-Large fits perfectly, great quality and looks nice in my opinion. Including pin lock insert as well and sun visor to.
It looks nice and its very light. Thats about it. The plastics feel cheap, the flip up feels cheap and I often have to check to see if its closed properly, and although its nice and tight it tilts forward pushing my glasses down. Ventilation is poor and the fighter pilot inner sunvisor is cumbersome. I had an Arai, no issues but was getting old so I thought I'd treat myself. Wished I hadn't.
Classy, at best Italian style.Finesse and perfect movement and engagement of parts.Got almost put off by some YouTube reviews, every negative critic I sow, was certainly unfounded.Compared to any other helmet I have worn, stability and absolutely zero drag and buffeting, this is by far the best modular helmet you’ll probably find at a very reasonable price.Even in the open face configuration… and at “very” high speed, ride was absolutely smooth.Literally, my first ride with this helmet was the very first time I rode without having to worry about head position, neck, wind, oncoming trucks… pure riding enjoyment!Did I say that I can actually listen to music without blasting my ears with maximum volume? No more ear plugs!!!
After ordering a size too small ("large"), I utilized Fort Nine's free rtn. option & soon got an "x large".The modular helmet is required to be open / flipped up to put on - even then it takes some practice to put it on. Once all this is figured out though, it is a phenomenal helmet - fits like a 'second skulls. The chin padding keeps most wind off my neck, and the peripheral vision is excellent. The modular lock is easy to release, and when raised does not 'unbalance' my head. The only complaint is that the accompanying manual is pretty much useless - refers to diagrams that aren't in it! A minor issue though.
The N100-5 is a very good helmet. During the first ride the interior sun visor failed however, working with Erin I received a replacement helmet within a short time. The only other issue is that the clear visor vibrates if it is open any amount to allow fresh air.

The Nolan N100-5 Plus is a great modular helmet by Nolan for Adventure/Touring riders. A modular helmet is ideal for those who spend many hours in the saddle. This, because they cover your entire head like a full face helmet does and offer the convenience of a jet helmet thanks to the flip-up chin piece. If you are on the market for a helmet built for comfort, modular helmets are the way to go.
