Nomad Gypsea 40 Gram Jig Sardine
TheGYPSEA JIGis a classic teardrop shape ideal for about all jigging styles, from fast crazy jigging to get kingies excited, through to slow bottom jigging. The wider body profile causes close to a vibrating action on the retrieve. TheGypsea is aback slide jig designed to be worked at slower to medium speeds. It will dart around and change angle aggressively when twitched and jigged. The sizes available mean you can fish this in shallow water for Grouper and Snapper, through to deep water for Yellowtail, Amberjacks and Tuna. The smaller jigs work very well when "jiggled" just near the bottom for a range of reef species. The jigs come fitted with super strong and super sharp BKK jig assist hooks matched perfectly to the size of the jig and are ready to fish straight out of the packet.

Fairly new to jigging ..... so far this brand, color, style, and size has proven extremely effective for stripers, bluefish, and black sea bass. Suggest modifying to include double assist hooks.

Just quality finish and good finish. I plan on using this for peanut bunker imitations on South Shore of Long Island for striped bass and small tuna. Its a good stout hook so I figure there should be no problems.

I've been wanting to get these items from Nomad Design for a long time. Now that I have them and use them I can confirm that they are very high quality fishing lures. With a balance of weight and strength that when thrown and receives strong bites makes it very durable and versatile. Also, because of its striking appearance for any trophy game fish, that I really like and make it very effective.

BCF had these in 60g & 80g for $10 each .... how could you go wrong? Quality BKK hooks and a great flutter on the drop. Caught many different species on these jigs, Trout, Cobia, Trevally, Queenfish, Fingermark, the list goes on. Quite honestly I can't say I have ever used a Nomad lure and not caught some type of fish with them. Riptides,Chug Norris, Madscads etc all catch fish. Great actions and at reasonable prices .... get on em!

I recently tried these Jigs in 40 grams up to 100 grams for sea bass with great success . I used charteuse, orange and pink . I caught more seabass than anyone on the boat had 1 blackfish and I was surprised to catch two fluke. I dropped to the bottom lifted the rod 90 degrees strait up to create slack and quickly dropped again with most hits on the slack drop. this is my new favorite method and will try for more fluke next time.
Always carry more than you need. All sorts of fish eat these things. My last trip cost me a new jig on the first drop. Mackeral love biting you off!
This will be my third season using this vertical jig. I've used from 40grams to 100grams here in the northeast with Maxquatro braid for the least amount of resistance against the current. This jig has caught black seabass, fluke, stripedbass, false albacore, bluefish and bonito consistently. This is a vertical jig that when combined with a slow pitch rod worked with a good quick lift and slack dropping flutter creates the appearance of a dieing fish falling to the bottom . When fishing within 20 miles from the Newjersey coast a 40 gram to an 80 gram with 20lb maxquatro braid should do the job tied at the end with 20lb fluorocarbon directly to the solid ring on the jig
Purchased some 40g jigs to try for lakers. good flutter on slack line and they reach bottom quick with tension on the line. I hae used these in 80 to 120fow and have caught several lake trout using them and the Daiwa sk light jigs.
