This lure is solidly built with a metal plate backbone sandwiched between both sides. Swims with great action has weight to stay in fast moving water while still showing its erratic side to side movement with the right rod action.
It's even better in person! I love these Madscad lures! I have a bunch in different sizes. For schoolie tuna the little ones are amazing - I had fish chasing them out of the water! Literally had to be careful on retrieve!!!This is one of the bigger ones and It's for Bluefin, baby!
These lures are awesome for all species. I own probably 10. I use them in Southern California and have had a number of different species eat it. My favorite colors are the ones with pink and purple in them!
Extremely appealing to your eye. Definitely not for wahoo. Ran this rig for hours with not one bite. Every shirt lure caught at least one..
Gave it four stars just based on inspection. Will be fishing it soon and may change rating. Finish looks good and it appears like it can handle large tuna. Not a fan of online hooks, so these were replaced with 4x Treble 3/0. My experience is too many missed strikes with online hooks and when you only get a couple chances at big tuna per trip, I'll take the hassle of the treble over coming home empty handed. Price is average for lure class.
I purchased a few nomad designs lures for an overnight fishing trip last month. Unfortunately the only fish we got into were smaller yellow tail. Caught several on the live bait but I think the lures I had were on the larger side for the size of the fish biting. The deck hands did say that's what was working on the the 1.5 day plus boats though. So I'm looking for longer trip to use some vacation days on.
Have all different sizes and colors to match the hatch. Cannot go wrong as a tuna plug. I cannot imagine not having these and heading offshore to fish for surface feeding tuna. The paint holds up well and you can cast them a mile
