Top quality cod liver oil from a top quality brand. I like to save on supplements and I do not buy simple ingredients from top brands (I think it is waste) but I would not try to save on cod liver oil and only buy the best third-party certified for environmental toxins, including heavy metals stuff like this one. Good and balanced dose of omegas and (very important) low on vitamin A. Some other brands give an overload of vitamin A with their Omegas, which can be dangerous. No aftertaste and easy to take. Love it.

Flavor is great, bottle opening kind of sucks

I buy the liquid version in lemon for myself and the unflavored for my dog. I feel like you I get more for your money. Yes the texture is a little weird, the flavor is totally good though. I swing straight from the bottle and chase with a sip of orange juice. The only thing I don’t like is it’s very hard and messy to measure out for both products, I wish the spout was more conducive for pouring.

High-quality cod liver oil which doesn't have any fishy smell!

We've been taking Nordic Naturals Arctic Cod Liver Oil for about two years by now. The reason I chose this product because it has a nice balance between the omega 3 fatty acids and vitamins A and D. We used to take fish oil which is made from sardines and anchovies, unfortunately, this kind of fish oil doesn't have a significant amount of vitamin A and D. I don't mind taking the cod liver oil in liquid form but my husband prefers the capsules so I bought this one. Since I prefer not to eat any capsule so I would just bite the capsule and let it burst in my mouth and I only taste the lemon flavor without any fishy smell at all! I think this is only possible because the cod liver oil is in its purest form and has the best quality, how amazing! To enhance the benefits of omega 3 for healthy heart, brain function and strong immunity, I also take the product together with high-absorption Coenzyme Q10 with bio-perine as well as curcumin powder. We take 2 capsules each time and only take these 3-5 times a week. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants a good balance of omega 3 fatty acids and vitamins A and D!

No after taste but...
6 May 2022

I purchased this Arctic Cod Liver Oil and did not get 1/4 way thru when the cap just splintered into pieces. No added presure was used or anything just went to open it and it just went into pieces. I cannot use it because I do not know if fragments went into the oil or not. I purchased this after going thru a lot of reviews and read about the company on their website. I like it but this should not happen. I am disappointed but gave it 4 stars because of what this company stands for and puts into their production of this cod liver oil.The pouring of this oil is messy as well. I agree with the other review on this topic. Hard to pour out of this bottle.

Ok

I think when I take this product, along with liquid collagen I purchase from another company, I can see a noticeable improvement in my skin health and tone. However, I just find that I often feel a little blergh in my stomach after taking this product. I take it with food, and I usually want to take it when I take other vitamins such as Vitamin C, zinc and COQ10. When I take those other supplements without the fish oil, my stomach feels fine.I think I'm going to stop trying to take it on weekdays when I'm busy and at work, and just take it on weekends when it's easier to take it by itself, that is, with no other supplements. P.S They are pretty large capsules.

Our naturopath gives her strong approval of this product
12 April 2021

I totally trust these Nordic Natural Cod Liver Oil soft gels. The research I've done was clear that not all fish oils are created equal -- and if I'm taking something for a purpose, I want it to fulfill that purpose, not just give me expensive urine. Also, how this product is acquired and made is impressive. And to add icing on the cake, when I showed my naturopath this product, she was VERY approving, telling me to "keep taking it."Of all the supplements I take, these soft gels are the largest, but because they are soft gels, there is no problem getting them down. At all.Read the write up on this product for yourself - these are made from wild-caught, cold water cod. The WILD caught is important -- there's a ton of researching out there stating you don't want any food or products made from farmed fish, especially if you want your supplements to do what you expect. Yes, the product is a tad pricier than other CLO products, but this is truly a situation where you get what you pay for. Everyone in my family takes this, and nobody has EVER experienced any after-taste -- a huge plus. And, like I said, the naturopath is giving us her approval. So two thumbs up, and definitely five stars
