Don't Buy Unless You Want to Become a Treadmill Tech!

I bought this treadmill in November of 2022. It worked fine for about 4 months and then it would just turn off in the middle of my run. I haven't been able to run on this thing for more than 2 minutes in the last month. I have contacted customer support and they keep asking me to send a video of this, and take this apart and then they will ask me to do the same thing that I've already done before again. I keep asking them to send someone out here to fix it and they say they still need to do more troubleshooting. I bought this treadmill thinking the NordicTrack name was good and that I shouldn't have a problem with the quality. Just the opposite has been true.

I would give this product 0 stars if I could. Calling this product commercial is a joke. My wife or I run on it a few times per week (when it's working) and we've had every single mechanical part on this product break. Every time I have to sit on hold for hours to speak with someone and months waiting for replacement parts to arrive. I've had an issue with the electronics board where the tread stops working, the walking deck physically cracked, and the motor went out all in the span of less than 2 years. Please read some user reviews that aren't paid for by the company before purchasing.

Great product, awful service

I bought the NordicTrack 1750 after a lot of research. You get a lot of treadmill for your money. The deck is a good size and well sprung. The screen is high quality and easy to use. The I-fit subscription provides lots of engaging content and supports the whole family. However, there are two big problems. Firstly, it's impossible to assemble on your own. In the end I hired two professionals (at great expense), and it took them over 4 hours to put it together. Secondly, if there is a fault (my treadmill failed after a week) it can take months to get it fixed, due to a shortage of engineers. I would not buy from NordicTrack again.

What an absolute hunk of trash this thing is. First of all, the screen of the machine, which is just the most garbage tablet device screwed into it, will not play anything BUT the paid subscription workouts. I ignorantly thought I could just have movies playing from YouTube or something, but no. Even though it says it is wi fi and has blue tooth, you can only get the limited workouts that you have to pay for. You can still run it manually, but I was disappointed none the less. Within the first year, the front console stopped working. The horrid customer service eventually sent me a new console, thankfully it was covered by my warranty. By year 2, the belt had chronic problems. Granted, I run a LOT. At least 7 miles a day. I had cheaper treadmills that were able to ... MoreWhat an absolute hunk of trash this thing is. By year 2, the belt had chronic problems. Granted, I run a LOT. At least 7 miles a day. I had cheaper treadmills that were able to endure that though, and according to the shill review sites, the commercial 1750 was the best. Nope. As it stands today, 4 years later, the belt is beyond maintenance. The tightening bolts do nothing anymore. The incline stopped working a while back. My warranty is done, and I refuse to pay to fix this trash. Avoid at all costs. This is the worst treadmill I have ever had. A $200 treadmill lasted me longer than this over $2000 waste of space.

Not worth the price.
13 November 2022

We bought this treadmill directly from nordictrack. After roughly 100 miles on the treadmill we've had to replace the computer board because it failed to run. After that, we had to replace the running deck after it crack right down the middle. At 190lb and after 100 miles of running this was a pretty big failure. For nordictrack being the big name brand they are, this product is way below expectations, especially with a >$2,000 price tag. I would not recommend this treadmill.

Pretty good treadmill, when it's actually working
2 June 2022

We got this treadmill in late 2020, and in 18 months it has probably been unusable for...5 months? At least? When it's been in working order it's been a good, solid machine, but we have had several service issues in the short time we've had it. We are now out of warranty, so when our belt and controller gave out suddenly near the end of March we had to shell out $170 for labor. We waited weeks for the service visit, then more weeks for the parts to arrive, then more weeks for the service professional to come fix the treadmill...only to have the treadmill break again that very week, after less than an hour of use. It seems to be related to the very thing we had replaced, but I'm not sure because getting help this time has been like pulling teeth. Our treadmill has been unusable for about 2 1/2 months now and I have no idea when it will be back in service, or how long it will be until the next thing goes wrong and we have to shell out for labor again. It certainly isn't saving us any money on the gym membership we quit.My husband and I have often commented that Nordictrack must not expect people to actually use their treadmills. Honestly, I would never buy a Nordictrack again, nor would I recommend one, after this experience.

Stay away from Nordictrack. No customer support
22 December 2022

I purchased the Commercial 1750 on July 2020. The machine was working well up till a month ago when it suddenly stopped working. I immediately called Nordictrack customer service to notify and correct it to learn that the warranty expired in July, they won't cover the part and it would cost me $500 to get it. The customer service support was not helpful. I explained multiple times how the machine is only two years old and to please make an exception. Nothing. Now all I have is a 2 year old useless piece of equipment that would cost half of the original price to fix. Stay away

Terrible treadmill and terrible customer service
30 March 2022

I would give 0 stars if I could. I would never buy a Nordic track again. The treadmill itself is poorly made and their customer service is even worse. The treadmill floor board broke around 11.5 months, took about a month to get a Tech out to fix it, he did not install it properly and had to come back out. This was under warranty st least. Approximately 1 month later, our controller went out and was no longer under labor warranty. The process of getting a tech, ordering the part and having another tech come out to install it took over 6 weeks. The day after the tech left, now it is stuck at a -3 decline and makes a squeaking noise. We have been waiting to get a tech for over a month. Unreliable Software - Machine Unusable
2 December 2022

Software crashed right out of the box. Not possible to perform a factory reset. This means I can't use the machine at all. It is a large useless lump.John Lewis has just referred me back to manufacturer. Which means I get stuck in manufacturer's processes. I have to report problem online, at manufacturers support centre. Manufacturer hasnt responded (apart from an automated response about a different and irrelevant product). From reading online reviews etc it seems software/operating problems are commonplace with Ifit. And the software is obviously fundamental to this bit of kit. I have no confidence in this brand/their equipment. Would not buy again, would not recommend. Avoid!

When the tablet eventually breaks, expect to wait 6+ weeks for the warranty repair
12 January 2023

Like other reviews you've likely read, the tablet in this treadmill is its Achilles heel.Once it dies (like mine did after 3 years), the entire treadmill is bricked -- and even though there's a 5 year warranty on parts, calling NordicTrack to schedule the repair is a back-and-forth game of broken promises that they're following up on your repair, only to find out that "they put it wrong in their computer" and having to wait weeks for a technician to come out.Even though the issue was obvious (the tablet was dead), they required the technician to come for just a diagnostic visit without the part to repair it (a replacement tablet).I'm still waiting for the second visit, and it's been weeks. The back and forth between the technician they contracted and NordicTrack takes 24-48 hours per message and it's crazy slow. Meanwhile I'm out the treadmill that I was using every day for the last three years.Note the 2-star rating. The actual treadmill was fine for me. The customer service speed, false promises on the phone and needing to poke them to keep the ball moving on the warranty repair, and flakiness of the tablet is what brings them down.Lessons learned:- Never buy from NordicTrack again -- repairs are too slow and customer service is flaky- Never buy a treadmill where a tablet can brick the entire device -- just go analog and put your own iPad up
