I’m confused by all the low ratings…cause this machine is AMAZING! Assembly took a bit of time but not difficult. The screen is huge and clear, the fan cools, and the speaker is LOUD! So happy with my purchase. Great Xmas gift to myself. 😊

Absolute garbage--was making a clunking noise from the very start from the upper vertical arm joint, which came already assembled. The user manual has absolutely no maintenance information besides how to reset the tablet and how to adjust the belt if it slips--nothing about the regular mechanical maintenance. When I called, the tech agreed where the sound was coming from, and quickly shipped me a box of 14 parts. No diagram, no manual, just a link to a YouTube video for an entirely different style of elliptical. Some of the parts sent don't appear to go to this machine. When I got it apart, there wasn't the slightest bit of grease on the pin that rotates around in there (where there probably should have been), which explains why it was defective from the start. They should have sent a technician out from the start, rather than shipping me a box of miscellaneous parts and no documentation.

I like the iFIT features, that is the best part. In theory this machine has many features, but it is so unstable that it cannot be used safely on an incline mode. Anything beyond light exercise is not doable which means as my fitness level increases, the machine cannot keep up. I am in no way a fitness buff and am not even close to pushing the limits on this machine. I have contacted the company starting in May 2020 and after a lot of back and forth had a tech out to the house twice without a resolution to this problem and it is now November. This issue has been going on since arrival. The instability is not coming from how it sits on the floor (though the leveling adjustment is only available on the front, not in the back or center which is not desirable) but from ... The next step for me will be to send it back, which I am sure will take another 6 months and several headaches to accomplish. At a $3,000 price tag, it should work flawlessly as described and it is not even close. Cannot recommend.

I really wanted the "play" i was feeling in the fs10i to be an installation issue, maybe the tech missed a screw i thought. After 10-15 phone calls in one day, here a summary of my experience: one tech ordered me a new control arm, another said that play was normal for the machine, call dropped several times, got bounced around each time i had to call back. Finally, Im fed up so i decide to return, i get transferred to their retention dept. I know because each time I call a rep is trying to keep my business so they dont have to process a refund. I accepted once, but after the tech dropped by my house to check out my issue he said its because nordictrack decided to remove the brace at the front which offsets the cost of a bigger screen. He went on to explain the fs9i has the brace in front, but nordictrack doesnt sell the fs9i anymore. Pitty i really loved the ifit. Far superior to JRNY. BUT I cannot work with what is plainly a manufacturers defect on the fs10i. Own up to it and fix it nordictrack, dont just simply shrug it off and have your reps tell us its normal for this machine. That kind of play at incline is and should NOT EVER be considered normal.
The family and I were so excited to get our Nordic Track Free Stride Trainer last month, after we did some research we found that the only thing some people had a bad experience with customer service. (YouTube tons of reviews) We ignored it and here we are today i have $3500 dollar piece of home décor that is sitting here taking up space and that doesn't work because one of the part was broken and its been over well over a month and customer service still has not got back to me. I don't even know what to do at this point. BUYER BEWARE
I bought this in an attempt to try and return to my “not terribly fit but ok” fitness levels as I’ve been sitting in front of a screen for far too long. Since setting it up (suprisingly easy to do) I found it far harder work than I thought it was going to be working out. I guess a couple of years of not going out much and sitting at a desk haven’t really helped! The mechanical side of this machine is very good, I’m impressed with how quiet and smooth and sturdy it is - it really feels like a gym machine. The interactive training side is excellent too - the videos have helped me to keep going when I know that if I was working out old school style, I would have quit quite a few workouts and told myself that I’ve done enough. Very happy with this purchase. I think for ... Very happy with this purchase. I think for the money, it’s good value considering how well it’s built and how much it actually helps you to exercise.
Had this machine for two weeks now. I noticed that when the incline is set above zero, the whole cradle rocks as you exercise. Then find multiple complaints about the same issue on the internet - darn! Trying to contact someone to get a fix. I will update this note if I get hold of anyone helpful. The advert says there are some 35 programmes gratis. I can find 12 so far and I have searched long and hard. I will keep looking.Beginning to think I made a mistake buying this.
I HATE this machine and fully regret spending a dollar with NordicTrack or anythimg that has to do with ifit! This machine didn't even hit 50 workouts before the CONSTANT resetting, constant disconnect from wifi, and constant issues with every part of it. I'm sick of having to log in EVERY time I use it. I'm SICK of it shutting down in the middle of a workout. I am sick of the machine altogether. I HATE IT! I highly recommend spending your money with anyone else. Do NOT buy from NordicTrack. Do NOT buy anything associated with ifit. The entire thing is trash!
Could not agree more with the poor feedback already provided. 💯 mimic of the problem. I want to love this machine. I love iFit, the guides, the workouts. Poorly engineered abs but thought through machine for the price! Also, it is not a 3-in-1 like advertised, more like a 1.5, but the real issue is the clanging and banging at incline. We just purchased the fs10i in June and already had a tech out by first of August! The tech, super candid and apologetic, could do absolutely NOTHING as he reiterated it is an engineering problem that has been documented numerous times (as written by other users/reviewers below), yet NordicTrack/iFit have not done a thing to the poorly engineered lemon product…or pulled it from sales!! Don’t walk away, run! We haven’t had 2 months and ... MoreCould not agree more with the poor feedback already provided. 💯 mimic of the problem. I want to love this machine. Slightly different feel to the elliptical action due to the auto stride so you may want to check it out before purchase. The ifit program is somewhat agressive for a beginner, but that can be modified during use. The space required during use is not as large as I first imagined. The build of the machine feels very solid.
